This is a terrible Wendy's (Turnersburg Hey.) especially at night. That's per my DoorDash driver. Tonight, they got my order wrong. I contacted my driver to find out which of two Wendy's he went to so that I could call about their error, assuring him it wasn't his fault. They didn't give a damn. He explained how bad they are. Two stars for sandwiches only. Literally. The sandwiches were hot and fresh and we received what we ordered. The fries were cold, limp and unsalted. I ordered two sodas: Coke Zero and Dr. Pepper. I received two Dr. Peppers instead. When I tried to have additional toppings on one sandwich, I got a nasty attitude from the young woman saying "You get Mayo, lettuce and tomato. What ELSE do you want?" At the drive/thru window, at least four workers were clustered around watching YouTube videos. I asked for a drink tray and was ignored. This place is not worth $27 for 2 combos and extra sandwich. We waited a year to see if they improved. They didn't. We won't be back. read more

If there was an option for no stars it would be great! I recently placed an order for the French Toast Combo Meal. I had requested an iced coffee, but it arrived without ice and tasted sour. I also ordered French toast sticks and would like a refund if they were unavailable. Additionally, I was not informed of any substitutions or issues with my order beforehand. This is my neighborhood Wendy's. They have some good days and bad but I can always always depend on them to make any mistakes right in the end. They are fast and the food always tastes good. I honestly feel they have changed management sometime recently and the place has done a 180 degree positive turnaround. If you ever came here a year or so ago and had a bad experience, you should come now.... It's so much better. And I give the management praise for that! They are really great also if you're using the app. I love doing this because Wendy's ALWAYS has an appealing deal that you can use on the app and then when you get to the window you just tell them your name and it's all done. No ordering at the window. No paying at the window. It's super fast. This is a good Wendy's managed by some good people. read more

Walking in noticed a woman behind the counter wiping things off the floor. She then proceeded to drop trash. Then start tucking in her shirt. Still deciding on what to eat watching the same woman rub her face not once washing her hands in-between. Pulling her to the side found she is a manager. Her response was "she was on the way out and wouldn't be touching food. But I will wash my hands if that makes you comfortable." I chose not to stay and order nothing. read more

3/21/21: We were just passing thru on our way back to VA from TN & wanted a quick bite to eat. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, but this line was the shortest. I read the Yelp reviews while waiting in the drive thru & they should've scared me off, but they were from 1+ years ago. So, I gave them a chance. It was true about how slow they are. We were in that line a long time, but when we got our food, it was fresh. I don't have a complaint there at all. We ordered the 10-piece nugget combo with Strawberry lemonade, a kids meal with a cheeseburger, and 2 double stacks. We all enjoyed our food. Besides the long drive thru wait & them giving me the wrong sauce, it wasn't a bad experience. They were also only accepting cash. Good thing we had some. I usually only have my debit card. I really like Wendy's food so when we stayed overnight in Statesville NC this Wendy's was right down the street so we didn't have to drive only about 5 minutes from our hotel. Biggest mistake ever! Wasn't the cleanest by any means and the employees seemed like they could care less about the customer. When we walked up to the counter to place our order the person taking the order didn't say a word to us, just stood there staring at us. No greeting, no "how can I help you" nothing. The only words out of her mouth during the whole transaction was "for here or to go". When our food was placed on the counter we waited about 5 minutes until someone finally called my name and there again no one said anything to us about if we needed anything else. Went to the counter to get napkins and ketchup and they were out of both. Back to the counter and told them. Again no on said a word. Not I'm sorry, let me take care of that, just reached under the counter for a handful of ketchup packets and enough napkins to supply a small army. And more than a little attitude to go with it. Then we had to sit at a table and listen to all of them hollering at each other for the whole time we were there. Whomever is in charge of this particular Wendy's might want to think about changing managers and train the staff because they could sure use it. With as expensive as it is to pay for fast food if you want people to visit your establishment then you better make for a better experience. read more

Drive through on Steroids Have dined here several times and have never been impressed until today. Wanted to try one one their Chicken Sandwiches and the Broad Street Location is closed while remodeling. Biggest complaint I have had of this location was the ease of getting in and out of the place and customer service. Pulled in today and a radical change. Traffic is a bear but road construction will end soon and things will even out. Shock was the customer service. Stopped here returning on a trip and got 2 meals. Substituted a plain potato for the fries in each meal. This dive charged me .50 each meal to swap out for a potato! Seriously, a potato has to be cheaper than fries! Most expensive part of french fries is the oil you cook them in. I got a microwaved potato rolling around in a plastic tray. Stoped in for breakfast. The honey butter chicken biscuit and potato wedges where great. However they still don't let you go inside to order. Driving a large truck that doesn't fit through the drive thru makes it very hard to order. So I has to walk thru the drive thru like an idiot. The food was great and employees where friendly. I waited this afternoon for over ten minutes in the drive thru lane. When I finally made it to the window, the young man who asked me "what I wanted" was rude, unprofessional and acted like he didn't care what I wanted. I watched eight cars leave the line while I waited and I would have too if my elderly mother didn't have her heart set on Wendy's. When I got to the window the young lady who took my card didn't say a word to me just took my card. She handed me my order, still nothing but nasty looks, and didn't include straws. I got in the drive-thru at 8:12pm, 6 people ahead of me, two ended up, pulling out of the line. Got my food at 8:45pm. Obviously too long for a fast food restaurant, but the next closest burger drive thru is Burger King about 10 minutes away. I understand about COVID right now but this is just pure laziness. So yesterday morning I wanted to stop and get breakfast forgot my coffee home. So I say "Hey Wendy's has coffee" I stopped ordered my breakfast she then ask what drink I would like. So of course coffee please it's 9 am she then says oh we would have to brew it for you. WHAT! It's early morning most people drink coffee . All you have to do is hit a button and it's brewing you can do other things. I would see if there wasn't any but there was. Wendy's is great. The problem with this particular place is actually getting it. They close at 4 and closing at 4 on the weekends is a not a good idea. I tried to cheat the locked lobby by ordering curbside, the app and website wouldn't work. After fighting for a half hour and lastly standing up next to the building to attempt the wifi. A dude comes out and says I can't stand there cause I'm dangerous. I'm 150 pounds soaking wet! So irritated as I was I tried explaining what I was doing and told him my opinion of what he said about me not standing there. He said he'd try to help me out IF I asked and would stop having a smart mouth!!!!! First off I shouldn't have to ask, y'all seen me out there struggling the whole 30 mins plus, but then y'all have the audacity to say I need to ask and that I can't stand somewhere. Can I give no stars? After sitting for several minutes in the drive thru without moving, decided to park and go in. Mistake. The place was filthy. Trash cans were overflowing into the floor and the tables needed to be wiped. Two customers were seated, and no one else was in line. I stood for several minutes in front of a store manager and several other employees waiting to be acknowledged and asked for my order. Instead, the manager never looked at me and carried on a personal conversation at the counter with an apparent friend. This gave me time to observe the kitchen. It was an absolute mess. Fries and food all over the floor and bags of trash piled in the back. I was so disgusted I left the counter. What once was an enjoyable place to visit, consistently providing excellent service and food done right. Even the orders with lots of customization were done well. Not anymore. The past several visits have yielded service with a chip on the shoulder, orders all messed up or incomplete. AND.... Do not even attempt to complain about it to the employees or the manager as you just catch more attitude and rude treatment. I'm not even saying to "Karen" them... This has got to be the worst customer service ever. First they hand me a bag with a booger and hair on it. I call up there and the first manager was very nice over the phone. Then we take the food back and the second manager was a complete dick. He never once appoligized. Then gave us our food. Got home to realize i was short a burger and our potatoes wasnt right.
