    Avocado BLT Chicken Sandwich
    Rumit P.

I rarely eat Wendy's, but this time Seamless was offering free delivery so I couldn't pass up a deal, especially around lunch time and hunger pangs were hitting hard. I ordered a small fry and an avocado grilled BLT chicken sandwich without the bacon, added jalapeños and pickles. The sandwich tasted great, extremely fresh and tasty and didn't feel lazily assembled; the fries are no McDonalds but still held their own. Quick delivery, great service. I'll definitely order from this location again.

Drive-thru is spacious and moves quickly

Basically an average Wendy's that does a very good job getting your fast food quickly. This is the closest location to my house so it's convenient for me. I generally go through the drive-thru lane but I have dined in before as well. The staff at this location are wonderful. Everyone is friendly, personable and considerate so with that said, their customer service is top notch. I would just note that the food itself isn't anything special and is a bit pricey for fast-food. Also, they discontinued my favorite chicken caesar salad so I'm incredibly sadden to inform others that the buffalo chicken salad doesn't do it justice as replacement. Overall, it's a great option if you're craving Wendy's but not my personal top choice.

They gave me a chocolate frosty and they made sure that my food was super hot so they made it fresh to order which is great.

The meats were flavorful and of high quality. I liked the pickled onions on top, great unique touch from the deli. I don't think it needs the mayo on it, I'd prefer oil and vinegar next time. The butcher case with all the meats is worth checking out...they have some solid prime cuts in there.

Both were excellent and packed with flavor. The real test for me was the drive home. I live about 40 minutes away, so I didn't get to eat my sandwich right away. To my surprise, it was still warm when I got home and just as good as if I had eaten it there. That's not something you can say about most sandwiches. The fries were a pleasant surprise as well. Crispy, flavorful, and addicting enough that they barely survived the ride home. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the shop itself. There was a great selection of specialty meats, seasonings, sauces, and unique items that made me want to take my time and look around. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign, and after trying the food, I completely understand why. It's not often that a first visit lives up to the hype, but this one did. Great food, a well-curated shop, and absolutely worth the drive. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

The fries are thin, crisp, and addictive. The local oysters arrive beautifully presented on a bed of ice with fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce. I have been known to eat as many as 50 in one sitting--in true Balzacian fashion. Everyone seems to love the ancient-grains salad, and Motorkat also does grilled meats exceptionally well. Great food, inventive drinks, and a fun neighborhood atmosphere: Motorkat gets the formula exactly right.

My group of 5 enjoyed a variety of their drinks and dishes, sharing 3 appetizers, enjoying 5 entrees, and indulging in two of their desserts. I started off with an alcoholic Mai Thai. Food wise, I had their grilled oysters, brussel Cesar, fried chicken curry dish, trifle dessert, and sorbet. As a non-seafood person, it was a big deal for me to try their oysters. I started slow with just their grilled oysters. They were drowning in garlic and butter, so it was hard not to like. The Brussel cesar was also a solid shareable. I appreciated that the salad did not come drenched in dressing. The curry friend chicken was phenomenal! The chicken fell of the bone so easily and was so crispy, moist, and overall outstanding. The curry and impossible rice paired perfectly with it. Finally, the desserts! I could have eaten two of the trifle dessert...it was smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweet. It was everyone's favorite between the two. The sorbet was good, but I found the white chocolate a little weird/awkward since it was sitting around a bunch of cold sorbet...didn't melt or mesh well with the dish. It wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. Overall, I loved this place. The vibes, staff, and food were amazing. I can't wait to introduce more friends to this gem.

For starters, we got the New England Clam Chowder and an order of Chickpea Fries. New England Clam Chowder - definitely a chowder and not a soup (heavy cream base) with a nice flavor and a healthy amount of clam bits. Chickpea Fries - A nice portion of well prepared fries. Nice crunch on the outside, but moist on the inside. Well seasoned and not oily. Comes with ketchup and an avocado lime ranch, which was ok. It's a huge portion and we took most of it home to enjoy later. Good use of chickpeas. Branzino - This is a whole fish split in half. Pretty easy to remove the bones oneself. The skin was nice and crunchy with the meat inside moist. Well prepared. I'm not a huge fan of dill and I think the seasoning of dill is a bit overdone here. (I'm pretty sure it's dill. Whatever it is, it's too heavy for me and detracts from the meal.). The wild rice side dish is very good. Lobster Roll - Excellent. My partner ordered this and the only comment was that the large was very big and next time they likely would get the small one. Lots of delicious, cold lobster meat. The fries also were excellent. The service overall was very good. Our food was served at an appropriate rate (apps, then main, which seems not to be important at a lot of restaurants these days) and the water service was excellent. Recommend this restaurant. I probably would not get the Branzino again because of the heavy dill seasoning, but there are other items in the menu that look interesting.

The avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg topped with Japanese black sesame seeds is my go-to order, and the sandwiches are consistently good. Their cocktails are excellent, and the bar side makes a great venue for private parties or larger gatherings. I am apparently in the miniscule minority, but I find the drip coffee a bit too dark and somehow slightly burnt for my taste. Fortunately, they make an outstanding Dirty London Fog and a wonderful London Fog Chai Latte, either of which I'd happily order instead. All manner of alternative "milks" are available as are a pretty decent selection of local beers in their cooler if you are grabbing take out. Be prepared for a wait on weekends--this is one of Takoma Park's most popular brunch destinations. Like many cafés these days, it's a favorite of laptop-wielding remote workers, so tables can be at a premium. In my experience, though, solo diners are often gracious about moving to the communal table when they notice [or more likely are asked polietly if they wouldn't mind moving] a larger group waiting. It's just one more example of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

I had a menu in front of me in no time. Drink order taken, but I feel like when I place this order, it always gets messed up. I ordered a Sprite and water, all I got was the Sprite. With the heat, I sure could have used the water more, but oh well. Time to order and I wanted to order a dog, but also something to go with it. Seeing how the dogs don't come with a side, you need to order something else. I went with the Chili Idol. You cannot go wrong with a chili cheese dog, that is for sure. I love their bun concept here, giving you the option to cut this up into thirds, which you will need to do because of how big this thing is. Then to add on the heap of toppings, chili, cheese sauce and diced onions. You are in for a treat. Of course I devoured it. As my side for this, I went with their Crispy Pickle Chips, served with Miso Ranch. I could have went with fries, but I think this elevated it just a bit more. These were fresh from the fryer. That ranch, the right amount of salty to compliment it all. The atmosphere in here was a bit dead during my visit as it was after the lunch rush, but when I was about to leave it was picking up as the World Cup was coming on.
