I stopped by here a little after 9pm on a Tuesday evening to grab food before heading home. I placed my order via the app to pick up via drive thru. I got a 10 piece nuggets, small fries, and a large drink. It wasn't very busy and my wait was short. Staff was friendly and my order was correct. The bathroom was my first stop . It was gross and smelled like a dirty diaper, probably because the trash can was overflowing and a diaper was in there. Service was good. I had the southwest avocado salad with grilled chicken and unsweetened iced tea. The salad was fabulous for a fast food restaurant. It was a fresh, tasty combination, and healthy! The tea was very weak. I like mine to be brown, not clear. Dining room was in the process of being cleaned. Checked in for a quick dinner after driving seven hours north. This place was our second choice because we wanted to sit inside and eat, not just drive through. I ordered a baked potato and small chili with a drink, and my husband had the baconator combo. Drinks are self serve at a machine with multiple choices, but after attempting to get ice, we realized it wasn't working. Back to the counter to ask for ice for both drinks. Then back to the drink machine for our drinks. We then received our food and sat down. I noticed I had no butter or sour cream, which normally comes with a baked potato. Back to the counter to request the condiments. At the table I needed utensils to eat with - back up for salt, pepper, napkins, and utensils. My husband had already eaten half his meal and I was just sitting down. When I opened the chili, it was so watery I didn't eat it. The baked potato was just okay - nothing over average, and it could have been warmer than what it was. Dining room was almost completely empty except for one employee talking on her cellphone LOUDLY. The Good: Service is fast when they are fully staffed. I'd say 80 percent of the time. Food is up to standards. The Bad: You cannot add another item at the only window that's opened even if you are the only customer there. They'll make you go around the building to reorder!! Use common sense Wendy's. If I was the business owner I'd be furious for not selling more items to customers that they asked for and not keeping the customer satisfied. I get that it's to prevent delays in orders but that's when they are very busy. Actually, as Smithfueld/Selma drive thrus go, it's not the worst customer service, but I almost always get my order with something missing. Three times in the last 4 weeks I went there to get baked potatoes for dinner and they were out of baked potatoes. That's poor management. read more

Unfortunately, I found a huge piece of mold in my jr. bacon cheese burger. This was during lunch hour so I wouldn't be surprised if someone ate mold. I went up to tell one of the workers and there was already a man there who returned his sandwich. He also found mold on his bun. The manager went to the cooking station and threw away the infected bags of buns. She gave me a new sandwich along with a card for a free meal. I am not sure if makes up for it. The service is slow, the people are always arguing with each other. Went to get breakfast this morning sat at the drive try speaker for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement. Drive around knocked in the window and asked if they were serving today. She then said you know it's a little early. HELLO ITS TEN O'CLOCK. Then they have my order wrong . I can't believe a Wendy's couldn't be rated higher than this but it all boils down to lousy service. They were understaffed and the people there were more interested in ending their shift than taking care of customers. The food, though usually good, isn't worth putting up with the lousy service that goes with it. There are numerous other fast food places to eat located at this exit, go to one of them, instead. read more

After eating here I was surprised by the high ranking of Two stars. I gave 1 star because they did not have zero. The service was terrible. None of the service staff wanted to be there and it showed. There was a debate on who would take our order while the other 6 people stood around. After we ordered and they gave us our cups we discovered the drink machine had no ice. After waiting and no one filled the ice machine I had to go to the front and get ice for my cup there. The cashier used profanity as she was forced to wait on us. The food was not really Wendy's quality. And do not get the Bacon cheese fries. Soggy and you had to look for the bacon. Lastly, one if the workers was using the dining area as a day care. She had 5 Children just hanging around talking loud while people we're trying to eat. Lastly, the flies in the dining area was horrible. Needless to say, thus local will not be a repeat customer anytime soon. read more

Ate here for lunch on sunday at 1:40 and the drive thru line and the line inside was so long. The wait took forever just to order food. The guy cleaning the tables did a horrible job at cleaning them he still left crumbs on the table and chairs. The cooks were really really really slow making the food. Went through the drive up window this evening, and had the worst customer service experience ever at a Wendy's. The cashier at the first window never said a word, and the employees at the second window didn't acknowledge either. They forgot a drink and I had to remind them, I said thank you, and they just shut the window without saying a word . The other 2 Wendy's here have already been closed down, and this is the only option without going to Benson, Clayton, or Kenly. I decided to take my family for a treat to Wendy's after a day of shopping. Immediately after walking up to the counter to order the cashier had the world's worst attitude. "What do you want?" Was how we were greeted! She practically threw our cups at us after we gave her our simple order (jr cheeseburger 4 for 4 and a bacon cheeseburger). I'm always considerate to those who work in the food industry, but we were nothing but nice to her. Then she never told us our number nor gave us a receipt so we never knew what number to listen for. Apparently she called us while I was getting our baby settled and my husband was getting our drinks. I happened to look up and she was death glaring at my husband. He walked up to the counter after another customer told us he thought she was calling us by the glare he was getting. As he approached her she said "I called YOUR number 3 times!" and shoved the tray at him! The dinning room was not cleaned (high chairs were sticky as if they have never been wiped down, tables had crumbs all over them, food was on the floor, used napkins in seats). Disgusting!
