I asked for the juice of the pico de gallo and she gave me the full serving. When I went back and asked her nicely for just the juice, she walked away and hid in the back and didn't come back out. She went around the corner and was out of sight while asking her coworker to see if I was still there. I wasn't rude or impolite to her at all, and thanked her while I was working with her... The bathroom had trash on the floor, and I decided not to be worried. We got our food. My brother had 2 bites when he noticed a BUG IN HIS BOWL! We all got grossed. BUG IN MY FOOD I'm going on a long road trip and it's my birthday so I decided to go to chipotle and as I walk in it already looks messy with food everywhere. The bathrooms are unclean and disgusting too. I decide to not mind that and get my food. when I do I sit down and take a bite and as I'm about to eat my second bite I see a bug on my fork. Immediately a family member of mine takes the food and gets a refund and pretty much the entire restaurant clears out as the quality of the food is obviously horrible. Recently had lunch at CMG in Smithfield, NC. Feeling like I didn't want anything heavy, I pulled the trigger on a Guajillo Steak quesadilla with sour cream, tomato salsa, and black beans. Intrigued by the fact they charge close to $14 for two sections, I was hopeful that they would be generous portions and boy were they ever! I pulled out the first section and it was heavy and packed with steak and lots of cheese. It was intensely flavored and my tastebuds were having a party in my mouth! The black beans were simple and not over seasoned; just right! The salsa had that classic fresh flavor and was loaded with cilantro. All in all, the quesadilla was a big hit and It won't be the last time I order it. Great job CMG and the Smithfield location. read more

New to North Carolina decided to go to Chipotle tonight food was good. Customer service needs a lot of work. We I entered there were 7 people in line ahead of me I was the last person in our e. There three people serving one with bowl and burrito station a girl at the next station and the cashier and 4 others one was cleaning and the others were just there. When I walked up to place my order the girl working the burrito warmer than lakes away and started filing all the bins with the condiments no acknowledgment that someone will be right with you. I stood for over 4 minutes no one said anything. Finally the women ahead left and paid for her food. The young lady from the 2nd station asked can I help you. I walked in and watched a girl whipping up stuff with her bare hands with a dirty rag. She saw me then proceeded to put on gloves and dig her hands into the food to serve me: yes she had on gloves but I'm a germaphobe and Have OCD I left tried to eat it but couldn't went back in told them nicely and they re made my food which is all I wanted. Younger people tend to not be as aware of proper food preparation. But I'm also sure for the pay they can't get older employees either. She was nice they all understood and I left. Other than that I've never had issues here. Only advice is don't keep scraping the bottom for the container for rice etc if it's out just get more or ask the customer if they prefer another alternative. read more

I wish I could give it 0 stars. They gave me the bottom of the rice container so it was 90% water. They were out of chips, they gave me half a scoop of meat that was mostly strips of fat. With COVID 19 considered, no one wants to patronize an establishment and receive sub par, rushed, and less than sanitary customer service. I had four entrees that I ordered. While I understand a need to quickly oblige my request because there are other customers, I'll never find it pleasing to have my order (that I'm paying my hard earned money for) just thrown together as line preppers criss cross between and around each other to hurry me along. Then to get to the register and be told that there's no military/veteran discount given, when I'm certain that each time I've patronized a franchise (to include this one) I've received one. Instead of obliging me and inquiring with a manager, the cashier just ignored my request and repeated the amount due. Long story short, it would benefit this establishment to incorporate training that emphasizes how to provide a customer friendly experience at ALL times. No one wants to pay full price for poorly made entrees on top of sub par customer service. read more

It's like any other chipotle. Renovated warehouse feel, (usually) long lines, and tasty food served subway style where you go down a line and pick out your options. You're asked if its a bowl, burrito, or salad, beans (pinto or black), rice (brown or white), a meat, and various veg on top. The service was super slow given the fact there was maybe three other people in front of me. My steak bowl was grisly and my friend's chicken was burnt and dry. Thankfully, we both doused our respective foods in salsa so our food was palatable but still. It's still a new store and they're ironing out the kinks in their particular store, but overall, it's worth another shot. read more

Not very good. Twice we have ordered from this restaurant and twice we have had a bad experience. The first time we had a 20 minute wait after the meals were supposed to be ready, with no explanation. The second time we received only part of our order. Great place. The floors were super not slippery and the food was good. However, the cashier did not bag my food which was super not cool especially since I had to walk all the back to the bus. I ended up bagging the food myself so I was doing his job for him. Therefore I believe I deserve his paycheck for the week. The thing that made it all worthwhile was the Mr. Pibb. That succulent blend of Dr. Pepper and coke paired nicely with the sautéed chicken I got in my burrito bowl. The chicken was cooked to perfection but the overall temperature of my bowl was too low. I will not know the full extent of the damage my bowels will take for at least a couple hours but anything less than 40% solid is unexcepable. read more

Normally I enjoy this restaurant. However, last night my boyfriend and I stopped in about ten minutes before closing time. I understand that can be frustrating for some workers, but this was just overall a very odd Chipotle visit. I ordered a bowl and my boyfriend ordered a burrito and for some reason, the man making our food was preparing them both at the same time. Let me make this clear for you: he asked what my boyfriend wanted on his burrito. When he replied "chicken", the man put the chicken in my bowl. Then realized his mistake but didn't say anything to us, and continued to put chicken on the burrito. He was in such a hurry, he didn't want to take the time to make one order at a time, resulting in neither of us getting what we originally wanted. THEN, this weirdo's gloves are COVERED in guacamole.. and he proceeds to wrap my bfs burrito with his guacy a** hands. But when I say "wrap", I mean kind of just fold and smash it into a ball. It ended up being a giant circle of a burrito. Then he wrapped it in not one, not two, but three sheets of tin foil. By this point we are so confused and blown away by what we are seeing but it gets even better. We ask for two sides of salsa. Continuing with his guacamole gloves, he piled salsa in two cups and threw the lid on them both, then threw them into our to-go bag... didn't wipe off the extra salsa dripping everywhere or clean anything up. I travel with my band across the country about half of the year. One of our favorite chains to visit is Chipotle. This location stood out to us. The staff were so personable, even got to chat about pieces of flair on our cashiers hat. Not to mention, the PERFECT roll on my burrito. Rare to see that. It was the end of the night and usually that is when employees are ready to close up and push you out the door. However, this wasn't the case at all!! They were very engaged and on point. I love Chipotle and have never had an issue at any location until now. The server making the tacos did such a terrible job that we had to ask that they be made over again. When we got home the chicken in the burrito bowl was so burned it was bitter and not really edible. The rice was clumpy. Not sure what's going on at this location but not your regular Chipotle.
