We were on our way home to Baltimore, we made an early stop for a quick breakfast at this McDonald's. My husband got us the Buy one and add one for $1.00. He ordered the Sausage Biscuit for $2.49 and another one for $1.00. He also purchased a senior coffee for $.79. The biscuits were dry and tasteless. At least, the coffee was good. I have lived and visited many countries in my time bouncing around and there is one thing I have never experienced in all my years. That is when I order food in another country I have never received the wrong order. So how is it that when I am back in the US that there is consistently something wrong with my order? That is my quandary Yelp. I was back from Japan and the first place I stopped was McDonalds. I placed the order through the app while on a little road trip for pick up. Yes I stopped to place the order. Safety first. It was simple. A large fry with no salt and a cheeseburger. I pull up and gave them the code of my online order and I pulled up to the window. The young lady took time from having her back turned as she was talking to her coworkers and asked "Are you Shawn?" Yes I am so at this point I figured that hey they are verifying orders. Wrong and I will get back to that. She hands me the bag and I feel a straw in it. At that point I should have checked my order. I pull up and look in the bag. Fries? Check. Three burgers? Check. Wait a minute three burgers? I look and I was given three triple cheeseburgers instead of my one cheeseburger. Now here is the dilemma. Some people will see this as a come up but I see it more as the lack of attention to detail and screw what you as a customer requested. You get what we give you and at least one part of your order is correct. Yes I got three triple cheeseburgers but they were plain (no condiments, onions, or pickles). I just decided to keep it and chalk this up to it is what it is. The question is at this current day is it really my job to constantly check the work others are doing when it is a basic of their job? I do that enough already. Well to make this a food review the fries were piping hot (no salt) and the triple cheeseburger was good despite it just having cheese on it. The extra burgers lasted me into the next day. I don't even bother doing the surveys or calling the number anymore if the order is wrong because it is check in the box and nothing happens from it. read more

I have no complaints about this place. Food taste as it should. The service is just right. My usual time to go is in the mornings and even though it may be packed I don't wait that much. Sometimes I will order by mobile and just pick up at the window or curb and have a smooth transaction. Not sure about the ambiance inside since I have not stopped to eat in there. read more

If I could choose a Zero star, I would. I try to keep up the benefit of the doubt, I know people stay busy. But if you can't even pay attention to what someone is ordering, there's no point in even going to work. The drive thru sucks. I had to go in to get two kids meals for my children that were forgotten. I get home and noticed because they just slap everything in a bag in the messiest way possible, my whole entire meal was missing. Wouldn't touch this McDonalds with a 50 foot pole. This kind of thing happens far too often. Whether the meal is small or large, something is always missing because no one gives a damn. And believe me, to someone like McDonalds, I understand no one there cares whether I return or not. But I will never eat there again. I'll stick to Wendy's or Burger King. This is from the Selma nc location. First of all none of the employees in this store were wearing a mask. I order a bacon and egg mcgridddle. they gave me a biscuit. I went back in to have it corrected, the gm told them a sausage mcgridddle. I told her 3 times it was bacon. she ignored me. she brought the bag to the counter I asked her if it was bacon she said no. I proceeded to tell her I ordered a bacon and she ripped the bag out of my hand and threw it in the trash then rolled her eyes at me. I asked her why she was being so rude to me. This McDonald's deserves 0 stars. Drive thru service was the worst I have ever experienced. The guy that was working on Sunday (5-17-20) around 5pm was extremely rude. He forgot to put bbq sauce and straws into my bag which was fine, but when my husband was trying to tell him what we were missing, the employee immediately got mad and rudely gave him 2 bbq sauces and said you only get two for extra (we never asked for extra, we never received any in the first place for the nuggets) and then he slammed the window on my husbands face when he was trying to ask for straws that we never received for two chocolate shakes and a coke. Our food end up being cold and old tasting, and the 'special' ordered hamburgers were made wrong. If I'm going to spend money there, I expect to get treated with respect which that guy obviously had none of whatsoever. Never again!! read more

Consistency is usually a good thing, but not here. This place is consistently terrible. For several YEARS, this place has boasted longer than normal wait times (15 minutes for a half gallon of tea once), and horribly inaccurate orders. You give them money, they give you random food. It's like gambling, so if you're into that, check these guys out. Not sure what's really going on here, but something needs to change drastically. My wife and I cruise past this location to visit the one of Brightleaf which is much better. I've contacted corporate with numerous complaints about this location and nothing changes. This location is a sinking ship best to be avoided. Go to the other nearby McDonald's or Sheetz the next exit down 95 for good food. I don't recommend. read more

Absolutely the worst McDonald's I have ever been in. At 3 PM on a Saturday, I stood at the counter for over 3 minutes and had people waiting for their orders behind me with no service. There was nobody working the SINGLE register that was open up front, all the others were closed down. People were moving around in the back but nobody came up and asked me for my order or even told me I would get service shortly. This is the second time I have gotten bad service from this place and I thought I would give it one more try. I had better things to do with my time than to stand around. This is the last time I attempt to eat here. The Management must be non-existent. read more

This is my regular McDonalds just because its easiest to stop by on my way to and from work and for some reason I keep giving them chance after chance. But the customer service here is completely horrible. the managers are the rudest people I have ever talked to and of course like a typical McDonalds their ice cream machine has been broken for what if feel is longer than a few months. Breakfast hash browns are literally never cooked all the way through and their food in general is never good. I NEVER review but people need to expect how their service and food will be if they go to this location. Traveling back to Virginia and stopped for a quick and easy meal. Not busy, but all the tables were needing to be wiped. For some reason this McDonald's also didn't let me sub my fries for salad or anything else. The boy at the front insisted I had to get the fries if I was ordering a meal. This is the first time this has ever happened at a fast food restaurant for me. They never give me this much resistance, or they just ring up each thing separately. I didn't mind paying the difference, but he insisted I had to get the fries. Also, when I went to get my drink from the marked unsweet tea canister, if was NOT unsweet. Beauty is truly skin-deep here. Pretty interior but the men's bathroom smelled like a urinal due to the completely clogged urinal! How can a water-free urinal clog and why did it look like nothing was being done to fix it? Wrap it in a trash bag to at least keep anyone from using it! The toilet door knob is gone . The unsweetened tea tasted like water and they don't give out sugar, Equal or any sweeter packs - period. I had to hand my filled cup over the counter just to get three "turns" of Equal. Came here on a Sunday waited for 15 minutes in the drive thru. I'm not a fan of McDonald's I only went cuz the kids wanted the Pokemon toys from the happy meal. After waiting she tells me they aren't serving happy meals till 11 it was 10:56 so I drove around waiting another 15 minutes to get up finally I ask for a medium fries where I was immediately was cut off from the cashier telling me they don't serve French fries right now. I said I thought you start serving lunch at 11 she said yes but not fries and asked what I wanted from the breakfast menu so I just left and wasted 30 minutes of my life. read more

Customer service sucksssss!! At the ordering window I ask for "light" mayo - screen shows it out in as "only" Mayo, total opposite. I asked the person 3 times did the get light mayo not only mayo they said yes - screen never updates to show light instead of only. On top of me having to repeat the other 3 items in my order 3 times. I could hear talking in the background of the speaker as if they were more occupied with another conversation than taking a order. Then I get to the window to get my food check the bag I was missing an item. I told the person I'm missing my fries - he just looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language - seriously just stared, I repeat myself, again he's just staring - I had to literally hand him the bag back and say LOOK INSIDE I AM MISSING FRIES - still no words but he takes the bag comes back with fries and still no words - I give up on McDonald's. I have like 3 all within 10 miles of my house and they all suck - it's clearly an upper management problem.
