I just went through the drive throw window, not five minutes ago. The young lady taking the money had absolutely soft skills at all. She acted as if she did not want to be there, did not greet me at all, no smile, and her attitude was in the toilet. Now I completely understand that many of our young people have never really been taught basic soft skills, however management should recognize that she needs more work in that area and start out in the dishroom and bathrooms. I work with students who have disabilities and they have better soft skills than that. On the other hand, the young lady that I received my food from was completely opposite, management material all day. You restaurants needs to STOP! I ordered the " chicken finger" taco today. The commercial details a plump chicken finger with massive amounts of toppings. The one Chipotle w/ pico was less than filling. Surely, there must be someone in the back who is paid to find the " smallest most pitiful chicken finger" available. Good chicken in the south. I can only get this chicken in when I'm away so I try to stop by if the see it. The chicken fingers were sooooooooooooo good. I would put them up against dusty chic fil a fingers any day. I know chic fil a is Gods chicken, but this was delicious! Not happy at all. Went through the drive through for lunch and this location now has a person outside to take orders like Chic-fil-a does. But the service was FAR from Chic-fil-a. It really did not help the flow of traffic as the person just had a headset and was repeating what we ordered to another person to actually type in which created a line backup because this also was not done near the menu board. But going along we placed the order and pulled up to pay. The tea that we got was hot which wasn't necessarily bad but they should of put more ice in my cup. THEY COMPLETELY FORGOT MY SIDE ORDER OF FRIES. So i am just nit a happy camper bc i was looking forward to the fries with my salad. read more

Horrible service. They keep trying to add features to be like Chick-fil-A, but they are NOT. Whatever you do, do not use the curbside ordering. They never come out there, you have to check in on your order after a looooong time of waiting and there is clearly a system issue where you've said you're there and no one on the other side is registering it. If that's the case then just fix the system alerts or don't offer the service. read more

We had a grocery order to pick up and Zaxbys was nearby so we decided to search the menu and place an online order. So we go through drive thru and tell that were picking up an online order. They tell us to park in pick up #2. Heres where it becomes a mess: There are 2 signs knocked down. We park in what looks to be #2, then an employee comes to straighten the sign and we realize that the signs are backwards, oh and there are drive thru numerical order signs in addition to pickup. After waiting awhile and seeing some food go to cars and it appears to be a mix up, my husband calls the restaurant to see if we're in the correct spot, they confirm and say they're still working on the order. We then get the food and head home. When we get home we open the bag, which was a family 30 piece of boneless wings. It comes with 2 large fries, celery and a lot of bread along with your choice of dipping sauces. When I opened I found only a couple ranch cups and none of the sauces I ordered for the plain wings. I then open the kids meal which is supposed to come with 2 chicken strips, fries, a drink and a cookie. To my dissatisfaction, there is only 1 chicken strip and I'm now 20 minutes from the restaurant. I did email corporate, so if I get a response and they rectify this issue, I would probably change this review to 4 stars. All in all, the food tasted great, it just could've been a more seamless experience if the order was filled correctly and the pickup process was easier defined. read more

The food is good but the most annoying music is played loud and music is a satellite station that plays more static and keeps switching songs in the middle of playing. Ordered delivery during COVID. Food arrived within 45 minutes (restaurant is about 10 minutes away). Food was largely cold and the wings had some hellishly hot sauce on them that made them inedible for us. I like hot, but not that hot, and only ordered one heat level above their original. Probably best to go there in person, as the drive-through orders are generally okay and you can go back and get it fixed. read more

Really good food. It's cooked fresh to order. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The orders have been correct each time, but they do forget the extra sauces that are often charged for. My son and I really like the sweet and spicy boneless. Extra saucy. The salads are huge and delicious. Wednesday nights kids eat a free kids meal with an adult meal purchase. Ellis and Kelis were your rock stars. They gave me the correct order(for I had a special request). That was correct. The young man at the counter walked away from me and didn't acknowledge me at all Ellis did. When she finished with her customer she helped me right away. She couldn't scan my app so mr walked away came back. He helped me and I scanned my app for points. I decided I wanted something else and he'd rang me up again without giving me my points. I could've spoke to him manager but didn't and Ms Ellis stepped in and helped me. It seems I'm not alone in trying to like Zaxby's. In the past year, I've given them four opportunities to redeem themselves. Four. That's three more than my wife wanted me to give them. Each time, I walk in the door with that crazy chicken bag, she takes the first bite and goes "Why did you do this again?" I guess because I think it's hard to mess up chicken. Or maybe I just haven't tried hard enough to like it. I enjoyed it, several years back when they opened the restaurant in Smithfield (friends who still order from that location have expressed their dissatisfaction, as well...but I'll just review a location I've been to recently). Each time, they manage to do something to deliver a product that's just below average. We're talking tenders, Zalads (yeah, that's what they call them), club combos. I've tried their stuff sauced, unsauced, with and without condiments. And I used to like Zaxby's. It started going downhill, right around the time they began advertising. Coincidence? I think not. You don't pay out Duck Dynasty money and keep prices and quality the same. The Zalads boast inconsistent and skimpy toppings for the $7+ they are charging. The club is dry, even with an added container of Zax Sauce. Chik-Fil-A can make a decent, consistent salad for the money. Why can't they? The latest addition, the thing that made me hope most was the following: They boasted Cherry Coke on their menu. I love Cherry Coke from the fountain, and ordered a great big cup of it. What I received, instead, was a watered down Coke with something that didn't taste much like cherries at all, sprayed into it. Turns out, in the fine print, they have one of those 100 possible flavor combination soda machines like you see at the gas station. Only it doesn't seem like it's calibrated as well. Way to disappoint me before I even take a bite. That bite turned out to be slightly less dry than usual. Came here a lot and mainly get the wings and a side of buffalo chicken dip. However they no longer serve it so what is the point in coming here -.- i can get everything else at sheetz i really came for that dip but no more i guess. Great fast food. Simple menu options and lots of tasty items. You can get a large variety of flavor on one single platter. Lots of seating to go around and they always stay busy. The prices are higher for a fast food restaurant, but with the price comes great food quality. Zaxby's is also very supportive of the local schools and they often host school nights or fundraisers during the week. The fancy Coke machine is certainly something to help keep you coming back! read more

I tried the lunch here and the menu had very limited choices. Yes I know that it is a chicken place but come on man chicken fingers or chicken patty. That leaves out a lot. I ordered the chicken sandwich. It took 20 minutes with less than 5 people in the store. When I finally got my lunch it was cold. The chicken patty was not cooked and the extra side of onion rings I ordered had 4 onion ring slices. This was a total let down for the price. I don't think I will be back. read more

Its super greasy, and the food is average or less in my opinion. they don't offer enough on their sandwiches and the fried chicken strips was just not good...dried out and more breading and grease. The fries were also not good. The drink was good and the service and friendliness was excellent. That's what saved this from being a one-star. Skip it...trust me. read more

Disclaimer: I would give ChickFilA a 5 star rating if they had a location in Clayton. So, I'm kind of desperate for decent, fast-food chicken in my home town. That said: This place is good for what it is. Food is always good, there are healthy options that are refreshingly different from the norm for fast-food, service is great, the place is very clean (especially for fast-food), and they have a home-town feel.
