I haven't had Wendy's in a few years. I decided to give it a try when I was in the go for work. The drive through took ten minutes. The parking lot is clean but I did not go inside. The food was disgusting. The baconator fries were watery but also had unmelted cheese. There were two strips of bacon uncut on top. The fries were warm. Not hot or fresh. In the fries was a piece of chicken that was fried and shouldn't have been there. The Asiago chicken sandwich bun was cold. The sandwich was lukewarm. One bite in churned my stomach. The chicken was rubbery and inedible. It was like it was frozen and fatty and old. It's not worth going back to get it fixed. I just won't ever be back. read more

This isn't a great option for a meal if you're pressed for time, especially if you want to dine in and certainly not during peak meal hours. Service is slow. Drive-thru is clearly higher priority, but there was still a line of cars at the pickup window. Even worse inside, the number of people waiting to pick up a meal was 3X the number of cars outside. Awful experiences lately. Nobody speaks English. So no one can effectively communicate with you. They dont make the chicken wraps correctly (missing something or other every time). They don't understand your order and just keep saying the wrong thing back to you and act like you're crazy while from the drive in you hear someone in the store asking if anyone speaks English. If you like Wendy's for fast food, this is a nice location. Service is efficient and prompt each time I come here. Tables, floors, and counters are clean. The burgers at Wendy's are never frozen. The fries have improved greatly and are served HoT. The $5.00 bag is a very good value with burger, nuggets, small fries, and a drink. It is perfect for children or adults who want to nibble on a couple of food items. I sometimes buy a premium salad at Wendy's. I am a fan of the Apple Pecan Salad. They advertise that "unlike some the other guys, their salads are prepared in-restaurant daily, so the lettuce is always crunchy, the bacon is crispy, and their chicken is juicy." They keep their salad lineup fresh with seasonally inspired menu items like the limited-time Summer Strawberry Salad which was delicious alongside their range of year-round salad options: Taco Salad, Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad, Parmesan Caesar Salad or Apple Pecan Salad. Self serve drinks include a caffeine free coke. I like that you can add as much or as little ice as wanted. Very curt at drive through. It was pouring rain and I'm visiting here from Texas. Pulled in drive through to order. The screen appeared to be a touch screen where you tap icons to create your own order. I've never seen that outside before and wasn't sure if that was the only way. Since it was raining hard I was not going to take the time to try that, so I simply said "hello?" since nobody had acknowledged me. "Just a minute" was the short reply but you could hear the attitude in her voice. Then "What do you want?" And I ordered. When I got to the window to pay, I heard the girl at the prep area saying "People think the second they pull up someone is supposed to immediately respond to them. I'm tired of being treated with disrespect. Had I not been getting the food for someone else I would have driven off. But I know better than to ever return to the State Street location ever again. We visit our grandkids here a couple of times a year and they do like the Wendy's. And this is the closest but we will not be coming here again. read more

Terrible experience! If you order at this Wendy's, expect incorrect order. It's located across the street from Mohawk commons. We ordered through the app and did take away. When we went in, the cashier didn't even greet us and looked like she's miserable working there. She quickly fulfilled our order and sealed up the bags. We ordered the Wendy's coffeeccino drink, they made us a coffee frosty instead n didn correct the mistake. We were very disappointed on the incorrect order. read more

This experience was a little different than the last time we were there it still took a while but I believe that it took a while due to the fact that they were separating everything and putting everything into its own separate space so the wait time I will give a pass on. What I did not like was the fact that the person at the window was handing the drinks out of the window without gloves on and that represented a not-so-contactless service. That was the only time that someone did not have gloves on while we were experiencing the meal exchange.and between the wait time and the lack of gloves that was the reason why it lost the star. As for the food, it was very good except for the fries because the fries were cold and we live just a Stones throw away from the restaurant so you would think that it would be warm at least I'm not expecting piping hot but I am expecting at least warm but they weren't they were cold so I'm not sure if they were older fries or if they were just not in me warmer for an extended period of time I'm not sure. But as far as the burgers and the chicken sandwiches go everything was excellent I can only speak for the chicken sandwiches because that's what I had and I can say that was absolutely phenomenal I truly enjoyed them. I was not able to get a picture of what my oldest boy got he had a triple jalapeno bacon burger and by the time I was finished taking pictures of the other meals he had already ate the burger I don't think he tastes anything as he eats but it is what it is I guess LOL but as far as the employees there as well they were extremely friendly and I must say that they were very nice through the whole process. One suggestion that I might make is that if they're giving out more than one drink and they only see one person in the vehicle they should automatically be giving drink trays, and when they give that drink tray they should put the drinks in the drink tray for the customer not give the drink tray to the customer and have the customer put the drinks in the tray while they're in the car it makes things very difficult trying to juggle all the drinks and get them into the tray while strapped into the seat behind a steering wheel. Other than that it wasn't excellent experience and I would suggest that anybody go there if they're in the area. I will hope that you have the same experience. So to start, the people working this evening were pleasant. Thankfully, since that's not always the case here. My husband and I placed an online order. First off, I pulled up to the drive through and saw, who I believe was the manager, rubbing his face on his sleeve. I let it go. As usual, they forgot one of the burgers. So- I had to go back. How exciting after working late. I went in and asked for my burger. The young fellow was nice about it. I mentioned, however, that this is getting tiring quickly since they hardly ever get the order correct. Meanwhile- young lady behind the counter kept jabbing her fingers at the young man making the burger. He appeared to try to get her to stop, but she kept going - so I told her to please leave him alone so I can finally get home. He handed me my burger. Other than a lot less fries than normal, the meal was mostly ok (1 measly slice of bacon, but whatever). My husband ordered 2 chicken Asiago sandwiches (which are way overpriced), but they forgot the sauce. Hmmm. Not sure why no one can fulfill a decent order. Again, at least they were nice. read more

When I get fast food this is one the restaurants I tend to steer toward. This is a brand new Wendy's located in Mansion Square in Niskayuna, situated between Balltown Road and State street. The food is fresh here and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The only thing wrong with my meal was my fries were cold. I went back up and they gave me a new large, piping hot and crispy fries. They didn't give me attitude or give condescending glances. They were happy to do it and they asked me to check if it was to my liking before I returned to the dining room. Now that's huge for a fast food restaurant. Most fast food places get two stars from me. That's just the nature of the beast. But I elevate this one to three stars for their great service. If you are ever near Balltown Road and Mohawk Commons...and you are hungry for a quick burger. Come in and make yourself at home! read more

I stopped tonight to get dinner for my family around 7PM. My biggest complaint is that no one (at least the 3 people visible at the drive through) was wearing a face mask. I get that they're not comfortable (I'm also "essential" right now and I get to wear one 10-12hrs/day), but it's the law and you're in food service, which is probably one of the most critical places to have one right now. I won't be going back to this Wendy's, at least until COVID-19 is under control. I fear for the safety of their customers. read more

Every time I've been here it's been slow no matter how busy or empty the place is. Drive through is usually even slower than just going in. Countless times they'll mess up the order and give you attitude or complain when you ask them to fix it. They've overcharged before and it took over a week to get it fixed (4 for 4 was charged for over $10). And to finish the review, this past Sunday we arrived in the drive through at 10:45pm, yet even though the website and hours card on the door to the restaurant say it's open until midnight, we were told they were closed! It's new, it has a drivethrough, and now there's a drive-in in Niskayuna that's not Taco Bell or McDonald's. That may not exactly be high praise, and I have a personal grudge against all the businesses in this travesty of a strip mall that caused the leveling and dismemberment of the historic Stanford Mansion's grounds and the embalming of the house itself in 21st Century Bank, but I give it the "acceptable when I am forced by circumstance to get a quick something at a yucky fast food franchise" thumb up with those asterisks attached. read more

One practice that this Wendy's seems to be doing now is that if they don't have enough people working, they just lock their doors so that no one else can come in. Apparently, they have people that are supposed to be working there that just don't show up on particular days. So they lock the doors. So if you try to come in obviously you can't because the doors are locked, but yet you can see people sitting in the restaurant eating and people being waited on, no sign anywhere telling you what's going on. They need to have some signs made up ahead of time so that when people don't show up to work, they can put a sign up at each door so that at least you know what's happening. read more

Totally unprofessional elf behind the counter. I stood at the register while she ignored me. It took the (manager?) To go "ahem" and she said "I know", then decided to help me. (I was the only one at the register) I gave her my order, and the coupon, then repeated my order, to which I had to correct her. I get my order, I check it over, and it was wrong. She started arguing with me saying "I repeated your order" and I reminded her it was wrong. The (manager?) heard what was going on and asked what was wrong. I told the elf whatever and walked away. She yelled after me "I know what I'm doing!" I call her an elf because she was an older woman about 4'6"' tall and way too much make up. read more

I go here regularly as I am usually very hungry after driving home form work. I usually order the Apple Chicken Pecan salad. I love it. Very healthy and freshly seasoned grilled chicken on the top. The pomegranate vinaigrette, glazed pecans and fresh mixed greens are great. The cost = $7.39 full size 5.29 half size. I always get the full size. A good price compared to other chains (between $10.39 and 11.19 or more in a nearby chain cafe) and $12.49 at another chain a mile away. I also sometimes order the Dave's single with only one slice of cheese and no mayo to save calories and less fat. If I want fries, occasionally, I get the smallest sized order. I nix the combos as I always keep cans of seltzer in my cooler in my car in the winter or go straight home to eat my meal with my own herbal tea. This all saves on cost and a bit healthier. I usually do not have to wait very long in the drive-thru. I love that they have breakfast now, but they don't have the times posted. If it is 10:30, on weekends that is not late enough for me. Too eraly for hamburgers and even salad--so I either have to go to Dunkin or McDonalds after banking and errands or stay home and cook myself. read more

First of all this should have 0 starts i went there today and it was horrible one of the reasons is because, while i was eating they were cleaning, for me i cant eat with the smell of bleach up my nose and i had to wait so long for my order. they messed up my order and never, i mean NEVER got it right. I give this Wendy's 4 stars because their staff, for the most part, tries to be helpful and get everything right. If someone doesn't, a manager is right there to make it right. There have been occasions when someone behind the counter wasn't perfect. But then again, who is? I like that they try and I like that the manager is always looking over their shoulder in a non intrusive way. That says something. My major compliment to the Wendy's Corporation is that they actually have real potatoes that are truly baked. It is always perfect and fluffy inside. Nowhere else in the Capital District of New York State can I get a real baked potato for fast food, except at Wendy's. I appreciate that. Also, the french fries are fried in a dedicated basket so there's no gluten cross contamination. I also appreciate that the late owner and creator of this brand, Dave Thomas, was an adopted individual who gave credit to his parents for his success and provides an opportunity for customers to donate to his foundation for adoptions. the staff at this wendy's is always pleasant. It is my favorite wendy's in the area. But why don't they have a protective roof over the pick up window. In this area it rains and snows often. It is a new building and I don't understand why this customer convenience was not included in the design. Don't like getting wet and moisture in my car to pick up a meal.
