When we got to our place, I took a bite into the sandwich and low & behold a huge dollop of mayo is what I bit into. This Wendy's is really, really, really terrible. I don't usually complain, but it's always something every time I go. This last visit to the drive-thru, the lettuce was so far past due that it was gooey. Gross. I don't understand how anyone could conscionably put it on a sandwich. I don't event understand how anyone could have lifted it up without it falling apart. Chili was the crusty stuff from the bottom of the pot. I didn't realize the kid's meal was missing a hamburger until I got home. When I returned to get another hamburger, the customer service experience was terrible. I had to explain to the drive thru attendant 3 times before he understood what happened. When I got to the next window, the clerk didn't even apologize. She tried to defend herself (saying that she put two cheeseburgers in the bag... which is demonstrably untrue and I ordered a hamburger anyway). I felt like I had to fight to get what I had already paid for. In previous visits over the past 2 years, there have been 30+ minute waits (multiple times), missing food, wrong items, cold food, more bad customer service. You might say: "if it's so bad, why do you keep going back?" ...Because I really like Wendy's and there's none other around. Wendy's is Wendy's - in most places... there are variables. This location is hidden behind the Waffle House. This is a smaller store with more congestion at the front counter while people wait on their order. This location is older and does not have self-serve drinks and it is probably related to their physical layout. The thing I noticed here was the friendly customers and staff in general. We came in our motorcycles and had 3 different people comment on them before we sat down (unusual). While I was sitting there, I saw 4 other guest tables having conversations with others. This Wendy's has that old-timer feel. Other revIews commented on a lack of AC. That's evidentially been fixed. No issue there. The baked potato had a higher moisture content than expected, not sure why. Hubbys Taco Salad was great with a generous helping of chili and plenty of hot sauce packets, which made my husband happy. Service was average to good. Opportunities It would be great if the crew member who took my order knew to smile, greet me and not act bored. She took my order and that's all. This is the worst run Wendys that have ever been to. We lost 45 minutes for a "fast food" to go order. 30 min of that were spent standing in a moderate line while customers waited for their orders to be sporadically taken. All napkin holders were empty. All the trash cans were over flowing. Nobody was manning the register... During rush hour, however there was a lot of employees dancing in the back. My wife & I visited at 4:30 PM CDT on 5/18/23. The store was dirty and unkept with a large empty ketchup dispenser and no napkins available in the dining area. Antwain took our order and displayed an unfriendly and disinterested attitude. My spicy chicken combo was luke warm and came in a bag without the 2 frostIves that we ordered. Service was grudging at best, although we were courteous. A lady next to me inquired as to the sandwich and meal she had ordered prior to me and got the answer "Because we haven't made it yet." No management was visible, the restrooms were dirty and the whole staff were just going through the motions, at best. This was the worst Wendy's/ fast food place i have been to. First, there was throw up on the floor in front of the restroom. When an employee walked near and saw it, she proceeded to go talk about how nasty it was behind the counter instead of cleaning it up. We were waiting for our food and saw that it did not get cleaned up while we were there. O. M. G! If I could give negative stars, I would! I'm standing in line as I write this. There is a line out the door at 2:00pm, and not a single employee seems to care. There is no sense of urgency, and we've been in line for nearly 30 minutes even though there was only 3 groups ahead of us. The employees are over-the-top rude... Oh! And they just completely disappeared! ALL OF THEM! One guy came up, filled a cup of soda FOR HIMSELF, and disappeared to the back. The only reason they got one star is because it's the minimum that you can put. I wished that I had looked at the reviews before stopping. They waited until my card was charged before they told me they were out of all drinks and only had sweet tea and lemonade. It took 20 minutes to get our meal. While I was waiting for our food the other people who were ordering wasn't told about the drink situation until money had exchanged hands. I hardly go to Wendy's to begin with due to it being very overpriced but was hungry late so decided to stop by. Where do I start, the sweet tea tasted like water, the fries were old and burnt, the chicken taste very old, and the bun was hard as a rock.
