I've given this Wendy's several opportunities and they seem to miss every time. (2 visits ago) had planned to bring my girls here after school to get a frosty. (I had previously purchased a $1 pack of frosty coupons around Halloween). We pulled into the drive thru line and there were 3 vehicles ahead of us. We waited and waited and waited. Moved up one car and waited some more. We finally pulled out of line because it was taking way too long. Last visit, we pulled into the drive thru line again. This time 2 cars were in front of us. After a lengthy wait, we made it to the ordering kiosk. The lady was confused by my question about the free frosty and just told me to pull ahead. We ordered a vanilla frosty and a chocolate frosty. Unfortunately, they ran out of chocolate. She claimed the were really busy that day. (Sigh) I feel like whenever we come here, we have a huge wait, despite not having a big line.... Which is why we rarely come here. The McDonalds by 288 ALWAYS had a line that wraps around the building, resulting in a lengthy wait but it's evident WHY.... because they have TONS of customers. I came here with my friend coming from football practice looking for a quick meal, we never expected what we would be coming out with. We used the deals on the Wendys app and got a buy one get one for $1 Dave's double, free 10 piece nugget with any purchase (we chose a small fry), and a free frosty with any purchase (we got a large frosty). The staff was friendly and even gave us a large fry instead a small and extra nuggets because he saw that we were football players that didn't have much money. When we ordered the large frosty he gave us a large drink cup which is bigger than the normal large frosty. Big props to the staff at this Wendy's for helping us out! If it wasn't insulting enough to have to wait in the drive thru 25 mins for "fast food," my jr bacon CHEESEburger came with NO cheese! First off the person taking the order asked for what I wanted, repeated it, apologized, then asked for it all over again; strike 1. The horrendous wait time; strike 2. Came around 11 and the customer service was horrible! There was a girl and a guy working and the guy at the intercom rushed me through my entire order like I was taking up their time. They pulled us and had us waiting for a while. Then when I got my food it was nasty as hell! My boyfriend order a baconator and it was PINK! I ordered a pretzel baconator but I'm not even sure what they gave me because it had no bacon, mayo, or ketchup on it like the other baconators, the only thing they had right on the burger was the pretzel bun, everything else was nasty, they put corn and tortilla chips on my burger, WHY? I never thought I'd feel compelled to write a review for a fast food restaurant. But this Wendy's is not your typical Wendy's. I walked in and "OMG, wood floors? And a lounge with a digital fireplace? What sorcery is this?" Had I not known better, I would have thought I was at a chic coffee-shop. There were also some TV's broadcasting CNN and Fox News, so this place was really trying hard to be more "upscale" than its sister restaurants. But what made this Wendy's deserve 5 stars was the customer service provided- to the point where it was almost scary. At one point, an employee sweeping the floors saw that I used up all my ketchup, and offered to go get me some. I must have seemed really stupid when I took a long time to reply, because I was so caught off guard from the offer. There's free wi-fi, so I could totally see myself coming here with my laptop to study or hang out. This Wendy's has that type of ambiance. I decided I'd return it after getting the groceries. I attempted to walk in but all the doors were locked. I approached the drive through and I was third in line. After a few minutes the second vehicle decided to leave. The first one then drove up to the window. I sat at the intercom for several minutes without being acknowledged. So I drove up to the window. I really like this Wendy's. My food is always hot and the order is always correct. There can be a wait in the drive thru so be mindful. It's usually packed during lunch and about 3PM when the school lets out. It can be a bit of a wait at night because everything else closes super early in Pearland (unless you want to wait longer at whataburger).
