    Garlic noodles w/shaken beef
    Tamieka B.

Gave this place another shot because we loved the Pho broth...but these Garlic Noodles!!! We ordered them with shaken beef and extra veggies. I was a bit taken aback by the slippery noodles, as they seemed over cooked. Yet, when I tasted it with the perfectly seasoned and tender beef, I couldn't care less. Short story short, try the beef garlic noodles and thank me later:)

Ong Jas in Pearland is a solid spot for Vietnamese cuisine -- definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality. I tried the shaking beef with yellow rice, and it came with this amazing spicy paste that took the dish to the next level. It was full of flavor and just the right amount of heat. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly, and the rice was fluffy and fresh. Service was attentive, and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices are a bit high, but overall it's a great spot for a flavorful meal that feels a little special.

I tried their beef pho and I really liked the flavor of their broth. It came deconstructed with the meat, noodles and broth packaged separately. Keep in mind the meat is sliced thin and typically comes undercooked with to go orders. The meat gets cooked with the hot broth. So when ordering to go, you have to basically boil the broth again to get it really hot to make sure it finishes cooking your meat. You also can flash heat the meat by itself in microwave. I'm giving 5 stars because the restaurant went over and beyond. I had placed my order on door dash 30 min before their closing time. It was 10 min past their closing time and the dasher still had not shown up to pick up my order. The restaurant called me that they were waiting so they can leave. I tried calling the dasher and no answer. So I called the restaurant back and they asked what my address was and brought the food to me. That was service beyond required. I felt bad that I didn't have cash to tip the driver and asked him for his zelle or cash app. He said don't worry about it and we can do it next time we come to the restaurant.

The cooked state of the beef these people sent raw lol

Why the hell would you send raw meat on top of the noodles with broth that arrived barely warm and almost cold? I don't mind cooking food myself, but this is a serious food safety concern. Let this recommendation/review serve as proof in case I end up getting sick.

Ordered banh mi x4 to go online and it was not good. Meat was not well seasoned, marinated or cooked. You can't just season Banh mi and maggi and call it a day. Veggies were fine, banh mi was toasted, but the meat is really what you're paying for. Maybe just a bad day, but very disappointing for $42.

It's good to have Viet food in the area to add more variety. Friends wanted to check this place out so we came here for dinner on a weekend. Spacious inside with plenty of tables and easy parking. It was interesting to see pho served in a hot pot style with the stone bowl, not something you would typically see. I tasted the pho broth and felt that it lack the authenticity of what you would expect. Understandably that each place has their own spin on their version of pho but what I didn't like was a certain artificial taste from the broth. On the other hand, the garlic noodles with shaking beef/bo luc lac was good. Overall, services were friendly and we enjoyed our time here.

    OJ's Milk Tea

Very quick service which I appreciated! There's free milk tea on Mondays so I ordered bun bo hue with a milk tea. This is the only bbh spot I know of in Pearland so it was pretty darn good!

My friend saw a TikTok for this restaurant, so since we were in the Houston suburbs already, we stopped by here to get dinner. I ordered the OJ's Vemicelli (based off the photo, I don't remember if it was grilled chicken or grilled pork, they are both $11.50 though). This is usually my go-to order at Vietnamese restaurants, if I am not ordering pho. Since we were planning to go to a rave later that night, I didn't want to be too full and wanted something that wouldn't sit heavily in my stomach. Our table of four was a bit rambunctious, so I am thankful that the staff that took our order and served us were helpful and friendly.

I've gone here multiple times. Their food is delicious and their staff is friendly. With it being fairly new, I will forgive their lack of items like spring rolls and steamed rice. Also, we had to ask our waiter for small plates for our appetizers, utensils and napkins. They replaced the steamed rice with their tomato fried rice, which is $2.50 extra. Their food is delicious. Our waiter suggested the longan honey limeade and we loved it. I will definitely come back to try their other items.

It adds a great personalized and distinguishable touch to their establishment. The menu has tons of yummy unique sounding concoctions. Since I'm back to lowering my A1C like I'm on a GLP1 commercial, after totally wildin' and eating whatever the heck I wanted over the holidays, I just stuck with my usual Americano with a heavy cream splash and SF Vanilla. It was tasty and didnt taste at all watered down which is always my fear with ordering an Americano at a place new to me. The service was cool. I've got this place starred as a reliable Americano spot and look forward to supporting this exceptional black-owned business again!

I asked a few questions and got a few "I don't know"s and even a shoulder shrug. Must be the new standard for customer service. I ended up ordering the Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea. It looked good. Taste wise, it tasted like straight up milk. No taste of tea was present. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I kept getting big bites of sugar when taking a sip. I was slightly off putting. The brown sugar boba inside was hard and not chewy and bouncy as it should be. Overall, I was not impressed with this location of Daboba. There are way too many options in the area for better service and better drinks.

Rose Tea House flips the script. It's spacious. They even have an outdoor patio. There's plenty of seating. Including quite a few comfortable sofas. Which makes for a great spot to study or do some work. Service (4/5): While service isn't a big part of the experience, everything went smoothly. Food (N/A): I only ordered a drink but they do have food if you're looking to munch on something. Mostly pastries and sweets, including teddy bear shaped madeleines. You read that right lol. Drinks (5/5): Pretty much your standard assortment of teas, slushes, and milk teas. I went with the pineapple green tea with crystal boba, less ice, and less sweet. Some good bubble tea and boba.
