Not sure what's going on with this location. We got in at 8:15 and were seated immediately. I understand it was a bit late for dinner. Our waiter took our drink order and came back with the menus. Around 8:25 another young man comes out and says they are not taking any orders for any grilled items; ie the banh mi sandwiches, grilled plates, grilled fresh rolls etc., My dad leaves to go get a sandwich elsewhere while my mom and I stay back for the pho. At 8:30 our order is placed. 1 chicken pho, veg pho no tofu, and some fried and soft springs rolls. The pho comes out within minutes around 8:35/8:40. Followed by the rolls. The veg pho has no mushrooms, I asked about it and they said the order was for no mushrooms which I clarified it was no tofu (also printed on our receipt) I asked our waiter for some mushrooms and I'm told no as the kitchen is now closed. The closing hours are listed as 9pm daily. It's 8:40 and there are 8 other people still eating around us. If you're shutting down at 8:30, it would be nice to know that you're shutting the kitchen down at 8:30 when we walked in at 8:15pm and not after the fact when you come to ask me if everything is okay and I tell you it's not but you can't fix it because your "kitchen is closed." The one star is split heavily on the side to be able to leave a review and partially for the original server who sat us and, while forgetful and unable to do much else, had the decency to look mortified and apologize every time his counter part came out to tell us no/kitchen is closed/etc. also, the other guy came out at 8:45 and asked me to close out the check. Bruh. My pho is still piping hot. Thanks for making me feel rushed and uncomfortable. OH and when we asked for our to go boxes, I also asked for some of those small dipping sauce containers, I pack everything up and we literally clean the table for them and this third guy with a heavy accent come out to tell me "next time you can't take the sauces to go you will be charged extra!" Like SERIOUSLY?! I just dropped $66 bucks to be rushed out in under 40 minutes while you got my order wrong and didn't even have half the menu item available and you're telling me I can't take the sauces home with me that are a part of my order?! Can't even make this ish up. Will have to look for another pho place locally that does veg broth and soft veg rolls for my mother, honestly one of the only reasons why we come here, so anyone reading this - if yall know any recs for a veg broth pho place locally, please let us know! read more

When I pay $25.62 for 2 bowls of Pho I expect to be given more than 4 little packages of sauce per bowl!!!!. I asked for 2 more he proceeded to the cash register to CHARGE ME FOR IT. My order was to go. So I have to dine in to use the damn sauce?!!! Thats ridiculous. Im not paying extra for that. I WON'T BE BACK. Treat your customers better when spending our hard earned money. It wasn't the best pho I've ever had, and although the broth was really good, I would say I've had a little more acidic and richer tasting broths - which I prefer. A couple things about this place. In all honesty, this is one of the better pho places that I've tried in and surrounding areas of Houston. Their broth is very good quality and the pho is always cooked to perfection. They offer all the toppings you usually dress it up with and you can never go wrong with a bowl of pho from this place. Rainy days, sick days, hungover days, you name it! Top 5 places FOR PHO, for sure! That being said, their downfall is most definitely their service. Which sucks, because I STILL come here even though their service is nothing more than a one star. Horrible!!! They never check up on your table. If you don't ask for condiments they don't take them to your table. Every single time I dine in, I ALWAYS see someone get up from their table to go ask for certain toppings/condiments and things of that nature. I know it because I've done it millions of times. There is one server particularly (Leyna) who has served us the past 4 times. Unfortunately, every single time she serves us it's ALWAYS such a bad experience. All 4 times she's gotten our orders wrong, we wait over 15 minutes for our food (when usually the wait time is always less than 10 minutes) and is just overall a horrible experience. I love the food from this place so much and I just wish they could work on their customer service. Cooler weather season is upon us which to me means pho season. I typically only crave it when it is cold outside. It just hits differently. I've been to their original location in Midtown quite a few times and was excited when they opened a Pearland location. Parking is plentiful here as it shares a strip with a bunch of other businesses. Customer service isn't much different here as their other locations. Straight business with minimal interaction with the staff. Pho is in the name so pho is what I get here. With that being said, they have quite a large menu with lots of different options like a variety of different noodle soups, banh mi, vermicelli, rice plates, appetizers, coffee and desserts. Something to please everyone's palate, I like all the other things but I especially like their beef noodle soups. I feel like their broth is superior to alot of other places I've tried so far. My goal this cold season is to venture out and try more places though. The broth here tastes like its been cooked for days. It has a rich, beef flavor that I crave. You can taste all the components of what is used. I love a good Viet meatball so my order always consists of that along with another meat. Here I got the Pho Chin Bo Vien which has well done lean meat and meatballs. I also got an extra side of meatballs which came in a very generous portion. It comes with your typical garnishes like fresh cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, lime and sliced jalapenos. All those items are must haves in my preparation along with a little hoisin sauce and sriracha. If I'm feeling a little extra spicy I add some chili oil as well. It is such a comforting dish and pretty filling as well, especially with the extra protein. Overall, this place hits the spot without having to drive into Houston or Chinatown. Unfortunately, our recent experience was deeply disappointing. Upon placing our usual order through Uber Eats, my fiancé received a text saying: "Why would you order so close to closing time you stupid Dumai." Not only was this insulting, but the restaurant also failed to cancel or refund the order. This meant the driver arrived to pick up food that was never made, wasting their time and ours. If the kitchen is closed, the hours on Uber Eats should reflect that--insulting paying customers is never acceptable. This was actually our third time here since we live pretty close. We stopped by for lunch and got their com thit nuong and pho tai nam gau gan. The dishes tasted okay to me, I've had better pho in other Pearland restaurants. The com thit nuong had great flavor and was cooked well. It came with a broth on the side, but it was way too salty for my liking. The pho tai nam gau gan was also really salty and the meat (besides the Eye round steak) was over cooked. We didn't have to add any extra hoisin sauce or Sriracha to the broth because of how salty it was. During our previous visits, we had the same or similar dishes but I do not remember their food tasting as salty as it did during this one. Service was not great. our waitress took our order and someone else dropped off our food. After that no one else came by to check up on us or to refill our drinks. read more

I've been to this place a few times, and I feel that it's a different experience each time. The place itself is large with plenty of seating. It looks clean, and newly remodeled with nicely decorated walls. However, every time I've dined here, upon arrival about a third of the tables are unoccupied with dirty dishes. On my last visit I decided to stop by on a rainy day. The place was busy, but not all crowded. After being seated, it took nearly ten min to have a person take our drink orders. From where I was seated I could see some of the staff standing and talking in the kitchen area, which made experience all the more frustrating. I also saw different tables looking around for their waiters, so I quickly realized other people were having a similar experience. After the food finally arrive *siggghh*, I realized my child's plate was missing. Once again I had to wave our waiter down and wait for him to come over. It took another ten min for her food to be out. I have no complaints of the food itself. The broth is flavorful, and the large bowls have plenty of meat. My suggestion for the restaurant would be to consider switching to a cafe style restaurant. I feel ordering upon arrival would save some time for the staff, and possibly give them time to clear the tables for new customers. read more

Went here recently when the temperature dropped a few days ago. My husband and I were headed home and ordered food togo via phone when we were about 10mins away. Food was packed and waiting when I arrived. There was a very sweet elderly man that ring me up at the register. I ordered Veggie Pho, veggie egg rolls and shrimp spring rolls; Veggie Pho: broth is flavorful and it comes with noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro, mint, jalapeño, lime, mushrooms broccoli and carrots. It also came with tofu, but I didn't like the consistency. Veggie Eggrolls: will definitely order again. These are small but flavorful when you add the shredded pickled veggies and wrap it in the lettuce to eat. Shrimp spring rolls: waste of money. Small w/ 3tiny Shrimp, rice noodles and a thin piece of lettuce. They definitely have some work to do with these (I will stick with the ones from NAM) All in all, will definitely be back on any cold day for the Pho. It don't disappoint:) read more

We wanted some great pho like their Katy location, it was good but not as good. The egg noodles were just average, the broth was very good, the meatballs were not very good. The pork banh mi sammy was good, I got extra meat and a fried egg.....not as good as their Katy location. My wife enjoyed a fruit smoothie, I liked my iced Vietnamese coffee drink....3 stars. Welp... I've been craving Phó for literally the longest time. And the crave gets worse when you're too afraid to ask your Vietnamese boyfriend to make some for you. Shoutout to my godbrother for tagging along on this foodie trip too. Stopped by Pho Saigon in Pearland, TX not so far from the city. Some of the reviews I've read on Yelp weren't the greatest, but that didn't stop us. To my great surprise, the broth was pretty bomb. I felt the love cooked in it. Only wish there was more meatballs in the combination bowl. Also loved the Thai Milk Tea with Boba. I'll be sure to come back again, this time try different drinks as their drink menu looks promising. The only thing is that, when I did takeout a few days ago... boy did they skimp me on my meat. Usually VN restaurants outside of Chinatown Bellaire area aren't that great...they tend to dumb down the food to non Asians. But this location is consistent with the other places...it doesn't disappoint. The quality of food is up to par. Went w mom and her grandkids. The staff were accommodating and patient. I think it was the female manager, but she came up to our table as soon as our regular waiter took our orders, and she greeted us and asked if we needed booster seats for the kids. Also, after we paid the bill she came back and gave the kids some hard candy. She was so awesome!!! We will definitely be returning customers. read more

So I been to the other location downtown unfortunately I think I like that one better. Customer service is better there and the food. I had a grilled pork Vermicelli Bowl with an egg roll and a fried egg. I did eat all my food. However, the bowl was mainly noodles with a few pieces of meet and the pieces of carrot and cucumber were tiny. At the other location they give you more veggies and meat. Also my fish sauce was not as powerful as I like. I will give it another try maybe get the pho next time but so far it was just okay. read more
