I came by Pho Saigon's new location in Pearland and I must say, the area is lucky to have the strong brand in the neighborhood. They are in a new strip center as the center tenant, they are next to a Bambu, so it looks like the developers are trying to bring in some strong Asian cuisine. This location is very clean inside and my wife and I had a bowl of pho each. We both opted for large bowls, and most places in Houston has been filling it up with all noodles and being cheap on the meats, this place does NOT do that. They pile on the meat! So we've passed this place several times and is almost alway busy. So we decided to give it a try. Let me start by saying myself and my family loves Vietnamese food we've frequently try new locations. We ordered spring rolls they were very bland no flavor. The peanut sauce was watery my daughters chicken pho tasted like chicken soup watered had very little flavor. I ordered lemon grass beef vermicelli bowl the noodles were mushy fish sauce was like it had been watered down and very weak. Veggies were tiny mostly just noodles I had to ask for extra bean sprouts and carrots and cucumber. My wife's shrimp vermicelli bowl was same shrimp was bland like the took the shrimp off a cocktail platter no grill marks or even looked like It had been cooked. The lemon grass beef was just tasteless we were so dissatisfied. We won't be returning. If I could give it no stars I would have. read more

The space is open and well designed, enhancing your dining experience. The staff is working their tails off during the soft opening (which already looks like a full functioning operation) so a little patience helps. Walked in.. found a place to sit. Waiter came to take our drinks and give us menus. It took 20 minutes to get drinks when they had plenty of staff available. Only a few tables seated. A few employees were sitting at a table too busy flirting. Even saw 2 of them walk off to the rest rooms 60 seconds apart and walk back at the same time with the girl fixing her hair. Classy. Waited for food, which came reasonably, except mine was missing. Got drinks and food at the same time. Ordered 2 bowls of pho and a child's chicken noodle soup. Only got one bowl of pho and the chicken soup. Waitress had to go to the register to put in my order when she had verified what we wanted before she left the first time. The food was good but I was disappointed I got my food by the time my husband was near finished with his. The meat cuts in my pho also weren't entirely what I ordered. I also felt like they shorted me on meat. I barely had but a few pieces. There was also a guy with his phone blasting movies the entire time and which was really rude. They let half the restaurant leave and didn't even say much to him. Seems the service is much better when there is less employees on staff. The more there are the more they seem to not really give a f.. Have been here several times and never had a bad experience until today. Don't think I'll be coming back. Review is simply based off a take out order. I'm sure service is great inside, but I ordered spring rolls and a special combination pho. The spring roll sauce was definitely a little weird. Not your traditional sauce at all, there's some funky twist to it. Not terrible but not a fan. The shape of the spring rolls looked like they were rolled drunk. However, it was fresh so the shape doesn't matter! My pho was extremely mid. Disappointing that my bag didn't come with any veggies like basil, bean sprouts, or lime. It didn't come with any hoisin or sriracha either. I'm not sure if I had to special request it, but it definitely did not come with it. My safe place to go eat a good bowl of pho or bun bo hue when I want soup. Every time I go service is always different. Sometimes the waiters are attentive and other times they just dont come by the table for you to get extra sauce dishes or refill on drinks. Food overall is always delicious though. The noodles were over cooked and mushy. They don't give you hardly any vegetables or limes to add to your meal. I had to wave down staff for just something as simple as a fork straw just anything at all. I couldn't get a tea refill and when I finished the mushy noodles and tried to get a tea refill they expected for me to pay for it even though they never even attempted to fill my drink. I hate having to get up from your dinner table to ask servers to serve you. No I'm not expecting fine dining just some common sense when you're running a restaurant. When I tried to explain to the girl behind the counter why I didn't think I should pay for more tea when they serve me the first tea I paid for. The girl behind the counter wouldn't even let me finish a sentence without trying to argue with me. My only question is when you didn't serve me tea at my table why should you charge me if I come to the counter and ask for it. I eat at the Pho Saigon in Clute Texas. It is wonderful. This restaurant needs major help with customer service. My family and I live in the community and have been here sev times and the service is always slow. Today was the final straw. We came in and sat ourselves as usual, after not being helped my husband went to ask the female for help. She decided to help two other tables that sat down after us. I am so happy that I don't have to drive all the way into downtown Houston to get my pho fix. If you take a look at my review of that location on Milam, there were sanitation issues which made me hesitant to go back. However, it's harder to quit this restaurant than I thought. To be succinct, this location is just a flavorful and they are always willing to accommodate my small requests (extra veggies, etc.). I normally get the #40 (white meat chicken with chicken broth), however, on the days I want a vegetarian option, they can do a tofu as your protein and they can even do a veggie broth. I've been eating at the original location in Midtown for years, and I've always had great experiences. I'm so glad they decided to open up in the Pearland area. My favorite dishes here would have to be Pho Tai. The beef in the pho is always so tender and perfect. The broth is well-flavored and delicious. It is easily the best in Pearland. Pho Saigon probably has some of the most authentic and delicious Vietnamese food in Houston. The servers are always polite, and the food comes out quickly. Pho Saigon, the original location that is, is in Midtown. While I haven't been, I'm familiar with the Vietnamese restaurant and I was pleased to see that they've recently expanded to Pearland. This location is in the same shopping center as several businesses including First Watch and Bambu. Since this is Pearland we're talking about, parking isn't a problem. I checked out Pho Saigon for dinner on a Tuesday. If you're looking for affordable Vietnamese fare, Pho Saigon is a good choice. They have your typical Vietnamese menu with classics like pho, bahn mi's, vermicelli bowls, and rice dishes. I went with the vermicelli bowl that comes with lemongrass beef and a Vietnamese egg roll. I also tried some chicken pho with both light and dark meat. Good value for the price and the food was even better when it was washed down with a Vietnamese lemonade. Service reminded me of the service you get in Chinatown. Unremarkable and not impressive, especially since we had to get the waiter's attention a couple of times, but overall, not bad. Next time around, I want to try one of their bahn mi's. read more

Pho has a special place in my heart and I usually go to my favorite pho place in sugar land, but ever since this place opened up, there was no need to go to sugar land. I am a regular here, and I feel like the workers recognize me bc I keep getting a banh mi here. The place is clean and organized. I love the natural lighting the big windows give the place- it gives an aesthetic vibe. I love to order a #20 or whatever I feel like eating that day, and never was I disappointed! They aren't stingy with their meat which is probably the best part about pho. And their banh mi is my favorite if I want just want something quick. Pho Saigon is nice addition to Pearland. The pho broth is less salty than the midtown location so that's a huge plus. The egg rolls and spring rolls were standard. The egg rolls were crispy and hot and the spring rolls were a little on the smaller side. Personally that's not a bad thing since I'm not a fan of too many unnecessary noodles in a spring roll. I had the banh mi bo kho (beef stew w/baguette). The stew was flavored well, came out piping hot, and the bread was toasted perfectly. I don't really eat any of the tendon on the beef but the meat itself was tender. Service was quick and friendly. We will be frequenting Pho Saigon often. read more

Of all of the hundreds of pho places I have been to, this is by far the worst one! My husband hates his and I didn't even finish mine...and I LOVE pho. Before adding anything to your pho bowl, it should be soaked with flavorful goodness, right? NOT HERE!!! It tasted like bland onion water and I'm not kidding you! You'd think they'd make it tasteful so they have repeat customers since its new but...y'all I'm mad we wasted our money to eat this. I would have rather had Applebee's The best thing was our sprite lol The other issue we had was that their egg noodles weren't the ones my husband was used to so we asked to get him a new bowl and the best they could do was bring him a 6oz bowl of rice noodles. It costs about $1 to make a bowl of pho. Instead of replace his bowl, they lost a customer AND we'll be sure to tell everyone else that were looking forward to going there. Mm I'm not much of a pho connoisseur, so I'm not super picky but it was good! The broth was really nice to drink and my bun bo hue came with a lot of stuff. The small bowl was a pretty good serving size especially if you drink all the broth. Note for fools like me that didn't know: bun bo hue comes with pig blood, a big pork trotter, slices of beef, and Vietnamese ham. One person I came with got bahn mi bo kho, which was pretty good too but had a pretty mediocre baguette. read more

Newly opened and so glad it did! It's nice to finally have a good Pho restaurant in Pearland. Walking in, you'll notice simple yet modern decor and seating. Even at the tables, you have a choice of the plastic chopsticks or the wooden ones you break apart. We were seated immediately upon walking in. After perusing the menu for a bit, we opted for an order of spring rolls to start and pho for each of us. For my son, we ordered their chargrilled chicken entree with steamed rice and egg roll. The food didn't take long to reach our table. The spring rolls were delish and made fresh. Our pho was perfect!! I got the small bowl and it was just the right amount for me. The broth was good and so was the beef. My son ate some of his chargrilled chicken and egg roll but couldn't finish it. We ended up taking most of it home. I am so happy that they decided to open a location on this side of town. There are a few other Vietnamese places nearby, but I don't think they compare to Pho Saigon's broth and ingredients. I can safely do a small bowl and if really hungry, I can just manage to finish off the large. Food comes out pretty quick and I can trust this to be a solid meal. This venue is definitely an upgrade from the midtown location, so it feels trendier, but prices don't really reflect that as they compare very well. Since the place is relatively new, I think the staff is still getting trained up, and this would be my only complaint. I had to ask a couple times to get extra veggies and we never got our water refilled even though the staff were hanging around on their phones. The interior has an industrial aesthetic and a casual, spacious atmosphere, which is not something you'd expect walking into a Vietnamese restaurant! I love Pork Sandwich in Pho Saigon. This sandwich is my first choice now. The Pho is good too, but we had to take out pho due to COVID-19, noddles were sticking each to other and needed to be put the noddle into soup for a while in order to separate from each other. I have been a loyal fan of Pho SaiGon on Milam; so as soon as I heard they opened a new one in Pearland, where there is barely any good pho, I gotta pay a visit. They did not disappoint me at all, given the fact that they have not had the grand opening, the staff is still being trained, and the hours are not set. First impression, I like the exterior of the location with glass windows and the so-big-you-cannot-miss it sign. The inside is large, bright, and roomy. I came here twice, and they almost had a full house in both times. That gives you some idea about the food. Okay, the important part, PHO. Even though the restaurant is named Pho Saigon, they have more than just pho. I need more time to try everything on their menu. But I came here to focus on the real deal, PHO. Pros: The soup is steaming hot. It is crucial, the soup must be hot!hot!hot! to cook up the rare steak. The broth is flavorful and tasteful with the aroma of star anise. The noodle is boiled well so it is soft. I had rare steak, brisket, and meat balls. The rare steak and brisket is tender; but I like brisket more because it is more flavorful. The meat balls are chewy but it is good chewy, that is how meat balls should be in a pho bowl. Overall, my bowls were delightful and enjoyable in both time. I hope they will be able to keep up with the consistency. Cons: Minor thing, they don't give me as much as green onion as they do at Milam location but again it is minor. This is my spot to go to if I don't feel like driving into Missouri City but it doesn't satisfy my craving of Vietnamese food. Today when I called the man who picked up the call came off as rude. Very short and not polite, didn't tell me how long it would be for me to pick up my order and just told me the total. The food is not bad but not great. We had two large pho's with eye round steak and one small pho with brisket $24. Again it is ok not the best but due to proximity it is the closest place for me to get pho. I will be on the search for another place in Pearland, the service and overall taste isn't worth me giving my money too.
