I had a great experience here just now and I was traded so nicely that I'm writing this review before even leaving the Service plaza I didn't even originally intend on stopping here. I just missed an exit and figured why not get some gas and breakfast while I'm here. I opted for two honey chicken biscuits and was helped by Tide, Dacheny and Goel. I received excellent customer service and got my food super fast. I added ketchup, which actually enhanced aspects of the flavor, though in the interest of Terence parents I also haven't had ketchup in a long time so I guess that added to the taste. This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. It is located at a rest stop off the toll road from Miami. We ordered at the touchscreen and our order still took like 15 minutes for only one breakfast sandwich and one combo meal. My husband ordered a large soda and when he went to get his drink, all the diet soda options were out. We went back to the counter and were told they have unsweetened tea available. We stopped on our way back from Orlando. This place is a disaster. The wait was really long and our order was botched. We ordered 3 different burgers and they got the toppings all wrong. We pointed it out to the staff who, to their credit, corrected it. But the replacement burgers were dried out and seemed like they were sitting around too long. Fries were also lukewarm and soggy. They really need to undertake some serious improvements here. But I suspect they won't because a) it's a rest stop and b) they know people will keep coming since it's one of the few options in the area. Definitely avoid this place unless you absolutely don't care about what you're eating. read more

This Wendy's location is inside the Fort Drum restaurant on the turnpike, and is an extremely popular option there. We stopped here in both directions on a trip and it had a really long line each time. In order to combat the long line, they have two ordering options: a normal register where a cashier takes your order, and a kiosk where you do it yourself. I was shocked at how prices have gone up. My order came out surprisingly fast each time. I was on one of two greyhound buses with my group, in addition to other customers, and my orders still only took a few minutes and were accurate. I did have to remind them about the frosty the first time though. I've never had a frosty besides the original chocolate, but I decided to try the brownie Oreo twist one and oh my gosh-it was AMAZING. I was skeptical to get anything besides the classic, but it was extremely good. On the way there, they didn't have any sauces, which wasn't great. Who wants nuggets without bbq sauce? This problem was fixed on the second trip, or my rating would've been lower. read more

If I could make it 0 stars, I would. The person helping me was rude and acted like she didn't give a crap about anything and so did the kitchen staff. They would all yell the orders angrily and obnoxiously after saying the order number 3 times quietly in a crowded space. They would not smile, I said hello how are you and all I got was a "hmm", when I said thank you, the lady, Wilna, rolled her eyes at me and continued chatting with the worker next to her like everyone there was an inconvenience. Overall, did not expect this from such a popular tourist destination. I'm a FL native and this is by far the worst Wendy's I have been to. Actually the breakfast food we got from here was pretty good. The problem is they're very disorganized. Just didn't have it together. It's the only restaurant that serves breakfast and is open in the morning besides the Dunkin Donuts - which had an insane line -- or the convenience store. As the guy standing next to me said, "I wonder how they handle it when it's busy!" And although he'd ordered before us, we got our order first. Anyhow, they got my bread wrong. I'd ordered it on a croissant and they put it on a biscuit. I ordered bacon and it was sausage -- but then again. Maybe that was someone else's order? They asked me what kind of cheese -- I said Swiss. They gave me American. Oh well. They'd run out of coffee. The cashier stopped to make a new pot. ONE pot of coffee when there were 2 others empty as well. Someone should have been making more and checking up on this. There was a gal at the cash register who took a very long time ringing up our order. There were two clueless gals on the grill having a long personal conversation. And One gal making bacon. Plus a guy -- the manager? -- running around like a chicken and not really helping. Did I say they bagged our food first instead of putting it on a tray? We finally got everything on a tray and then got our salt/peer, napkins etc. at the central station. I'd gotten a sandwich only and it was pretty good. The "croissant" tasted fresh and was in a square shape. The bacon was crisp. I would have preferred the Swiss cheese, but the American was okay. My husband got a combo so in addition to his biscuit sandwich and coffee, there was a small sleeve of seasoned potato wedges. The potatoes weren't bad -- they'd have been much better if they were hot. They were only lukewarm. The bottom of his biscuit was hard and dry, but the top part was fine. And he said the bacon was crisp and the egg was good. There's potential here, but they need much better training and management and organization. This place is a ridiculous joke. They moved so insanely slowly. There was four people standing around inside looking at each other doing nothing. There were 10 or 12 people in line and the employees just around looking at each other watching the clock so we all waited in line and they took maybe one person every five minutes and then when the clock ticked to10 PM they shut the lights off and refused to serve the rest of us. Never seen such a bunch of lazy, entitled, apathetic, rude employees in my life. You got a wonder why Wendy's are closing here in there, it's because they hire people like this. With a line of 7 people, I stood in line for 30 minutes. Rude staff, horrible organization even when the manager was present, and all around bad experience. To top it all off when I reached the front, the four computers broke down at the same time and required another 15 minutes to restart. If there's another restaurant open at the turnpike stop, I would recommend going there. Horrible!!! The longest wait ever - 25 min in line then 15 more min for the food!!! The prices were higher than regular Wendy's and the food was dry, cold and incorrect so had to go back twice to get it corrected. The lack of options on expressway had us stop there but never will again! Oh and don't look for the value menu- they don't have it, my son wanted a cheeseburger and had to pay $5 for a smashed dry tiny burger! They should be ashamed to serve that to anyone! read more
