As a busy mom this was our Friday dinner and we brought the toddlers. Super fun and great atmosphere. Michael took great care of the restaurant making sure tables are clean, removing our trays and taking the cash tip I gave him and instead of just putting it in his pocket and all the tips go to their local farm and he brought it over to wherever that is. Coleslaw was also really good!! Chicken tenders are the best. Fries are delicious. 10/10 will go back again and recommend!

Firstly, let me add that we were hungry!!! I'm not very familiar with Culver but my teen niece told…read moreme that it was good but expensive. Now I'm not sure if this place would be considered FAST FOOD or something a little better. They don't have a "drive-thru" per se but they have a drive up order window but then you can either park in one of the designated spots and wait for them to bring you your food or you can pull up against the curve and wait as well. They will give you a numbered sticky note to place on your car. When we got to the order board, and the voice came over the speaker, she asked "what can we prepare fresh for you?" As a part of her welcome spiel. Lots of places boast freshness but we will see about that. I ordered the cod dinner (1 piece) which comes with fries, a dinner roll, and coleslaw. My husband ordered the Shrimp dinner and the kid ordered chicken tenders and fries. I was expecting a frozen piece of low quality fish with little flavor but this was actually pretty tasty! Again...I was very hungry but it actually did taste fresh! No hint of fishy-ness and it was piping hot and crispy and I thought it was really yummy. I ordered the 1 piece thinking I was just ordering something to hold me over until dinner but that one piece of fish was pretty big. I'm Glad I opted for one. My hubby and I could split a 3 piece because I felt the piece was large and thick and filling. The breading wasn't soggy either. It was nice and crunchy (I ate right away) and the fries were decent. The fries remind me of the fries they serve at Portillo's. A crisp crinkle cut with the perfect amount of salt. I truly enjoyed my food. I will add that a one piece is $10.99. My husband loved his shrimp dinner and my kid, who only eats tenders if we go to Chick-fil-a, even said hers was good. I expected her to complain but she liked them. So I guess it was a win across the board with my family. We relocated to PSL where they have Culver's so I guess I'll be eating here more often. No pics...sorry. Maybe next time when I can sit and eat instead of driving.

My husband got the hamburger and thought it was okay, but it didn't have those wow flavors either. We had to wait for our order to be delivered to the car, and there was quite a long line of cars waiting for their food. Overall, it wasn't the best experience, but we might give it another try later to see if maybe the first visit was just an off day.

I recently had a disappointing experience when they changed their French fries, but I'm happy to say they've brought the original fries back and me too! Thank you so much. The crispy, delicious, unbreaded fries are back, and honestly, they make a big difference. I'm not a huge fan of sliced pork (I prefer pulled pork), but theirs is definitely palatable and have some flavor and moistir. Between the Southern atmosphere, local feel, and those delicious fries, I'm glad to be able to give them 4 stars again. It's nice to see a local restaurant listen to its customers and bring back something people clearly loved!

It was so puny, and what sliced meat? Like lunch meat? I got the small sampler plate with ribs, turkey and pork, I was shocked it came out as thin sliced meat and was dry and no flavor, had to soak it in bbq sauce to get it down :( The rib was good and the coleslaw was too, but everything else was a no for me.

Outstanding!! This humble place, tucked into a small strip…read moremall is larger than life once the food starts rolling to your table. The servers delight in sharing the absolute joy this kitchen dishes up for every diner in that room. The servers all smile the knowing smile of someone who has seen hundreds of super satisfied customers with even happier bellies. So now to the food. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and offered me half. I took a bite and gallantly handed it back before my tongue got the message back to the rest of me on just how great that sandwich was - otherwise, I would have likely had a real internal struggle to give any of her dinner back. The barbecue sauce was tangy and warm, the pork, delectable and the coleslaw layer, cool, crisp and punchy. This sandwich was the prince of pulled pork! The French fries it came with took me back 50 years to being a kid and knowing what a French fry was supposed to taste like - real potatoes that someone had peeled fresh, crinkle cut and used fresh oil to fry to perfection. Wow. We ordered a seven piece chicken with a side of fried okra. The chicken was superb. As you bit into it, there was a crack from the batter like a tree branch breaking in two. That batter was cooked to absolute perfection. The chicken itself was cooked nicely and slid right off the bone with no tooth wrestling needed. The okra was nicely fried, but the real treat was how the tang of the okra came shining through like it was being eaten whole - the flavor didnt get lost in a thick batter or too long a fry. We also ordered the St. Louis ribs and man, they were also deee-lishous. Well balanced between sweet and tangy, a super platter with some lovely mac and cheese and collard greens for accompaniment. We tried a few of their specialty lemonade flavors. They were nice, but not the highlight in this menu full of superstars. We all had happy but super full bellies, so the peach cobbler and the banana pudding we took home will need to wait for the morning for them to get evaluated. Given the rest of our experience, I'm not going to lose money betting against this place! I met the owner, a solid honest, look you in the eye type of fellow. You could tell two things about him right away: 1. He's a man who has a great deal of pride to have this restaurant and it's fine food to share with the world. 2. This is not an easy business, but he doesn't mind, because he just knows his food is high art in a soul food world made up of many poimitations. Go give these fine folks a try. I am most sure you will leave just like me - searching for words that just don't exist to describe how good this food really is. Thank you Kinfolk, and like another reviewer said, I will be dreaming of this food until I figure a way back to your shop.
