We decided to jump off the turnpike, and try Brisas , after reading the reviews. True, it looks a little scary from the outside but inside was very quaint and great for kids. The food was delicious, we had great service and it was colorful and fun. We had fish tacos, chicken fajitas and a kids tacos. All of the portions quite large and fresh. We had lots of fun , trying on the sombreros, cutouts and sitting on the giant chair. Super clean, pleasant experience. read more

This was a great find for lunch. Very odd location right off the highway but trust your GPS. The decor inside is very colorful and cheery. The waiter let us catch up a bit and didn't rush us to order. He also brought us extra salsa for our chips. We each ordered a lunch special. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Portions were generous. The side beans that came with the lunch special were refried. Had I known I may have asked for black beans. read more

Yo!! This place is so weird and it's so cool. It's like it used to be a red lobster or some sort of crab boil place all the art doesn't match what the food is. And it's really cool! I'm not sure if it's a newer restaurant but Our waiters seemed very nervous. Lucky for her, It was us that made a mistake and spill the tray of glasses all over the place and made a giant mess. Was actually pretty funny. I like to order stuff I don't know what it is. And whatever I ordered I could not pronounce but it started with an M. What I got was a great winner. I don't always win with food relat but today was a real winner. Whatever this thing was in the picture it was like a big bowl hand carved out a lava rocks with detailed animals carved in the side of the bowl. The bowl was filled with like a giant loose fajita loaded with stuff. I couldn't even finish it all had to take a to go box. Whatever this was I suggest you order it too I just pointed at the menu and she knew. The next time I'm in this area to go to the neighborhood arcade called play money I'll also be here playing with my Mexican food but a hot steaming bowl. read more

This restaurant was close to the hotel where we were staying. We were in town for a baseball tournament. And we had some of the family in tow. Our party of six was seated right away. Even though we were a large group ordering all different items, they kept up with everyone's requests and we had pretty fast and friendly service. My husband and I both got taco salads. They were good -- an addictive flour shell filled with ground meat, cheese, lettuce, guacamole, etc. We both added some of the remaining salsa to our salads -- that we'd received with our comp chips and salsa -- to give it a bit more pizzazz. I'd order this again. Our group ordered various burritos, quesadillas, and the like. Everyone enjoyed their food. I did hear that the refried beans were very good, as well. Prices are quite reasonable. Portions are large. It was a good choice to go with family especially when you have hungry teens to feed. read more

Went here with my sister. Food was great, I had the triple fajitas and my sister had a cheeseburger ( slightly overcooked).service was good and a lot of the local Spanish population was there eating which is a good sign. I'd definitely go back! read more

Got off the Turnpike and found this delightful restaurant. Chips, salsa, food and service were all excellent. Restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was nice. We ordered a fajita quesadilla and pork enchiladas. Highly recommend. Only bad thing is this restaurant is not closer to our home. read more

My coworkers and I have always ordered take out from this place. The prices are average and they have lots of options on the menu. The food itself is OKAY. There's like, no flavor to the food though. It's just not... flavorful. I've had better... The only thing that was good is their chorizo queso and their Free salsa and chips that they give with every meal. Side note: I posted some up to date images of the menu since everyone only just posted a picture of the margarita menu... (Another side note: You're probably wondering why we still order from this place even though I've given the rating I chose. It's because my coworkers loves it. I personally don't like it. I think I rather choose Taco Bell over this place...) read more

I had a taco salad and it was delicious. I added Carne Asada instead of ground beef. I also added refried beans and rice. Super tasty. The service was decent. Had to wait a little while before someone acknowledged I was there. It's OK because it was lunchtime and a little bit slow in the restaurant. I liked the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Nice and quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be back. read more

this picture doesn't do it justice. I took the pic after I made my first taco! I ordered the shrimp al mojo de ajo; and gotta be honest here. not sure if I ever had anything like it. it was close to a mexican shrimp scampi but w corn tortillas, rice, beans and a small salad. it was so good!! I did order to go since I am here for a few days and the hotel is 5 blocks away. the downside was is they did not have a liquor license. the manager (or owner) apologized to me so many times. it was ok cuz I was getting to go anyways. I did want a beer tho while I waited & hope they clear that issue up bit I really didn't care. took like 8mins, quicker than a taco bell orde & a billion times better! i'll be down here for next few months few days a week & I am most deferring from this place once per week. top notch. and the house hot sauce was fire!! read more

Delicious, authentic Mexican food with huge portions and even better prices! Came here as a last minute food option deviating from the highway conveniently located nearby! Colorful fun Mexican decor throughout the larger building. The servers were nice and provided excellent recommendations. We got a platter with steak and enchilada and also a steak burrito. Left happy and satisfied. Took our leftovers to go for lunch the next day! read more

Zero Stars. Racial preferential treatment here. If your party is white.... this might not be a place for you. *Explanation later. Parking lot looked busy and was surprised when I walked in to what appeared to be a fairly empty place. Then was told 20 minutes to be seated. We declined but had to return because the next place was a lot longer of a wait. When we returned it was packed but were seated right away. It took over 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order which took easily another 20+ minutes to arrive. Here's where my first comment comes into play: I watched multiple parties be seated and have their drink order taken and served before my drinks arrived. These parties, all sat after us were not white and spoke the language. I witnessed multiple parties even get refills more than once before I even saw my drink order. The service here is terrible and caters to its own. Not sure how racist this review is going to sound but like I said, I witnessed multiple parties get attention, order and receive their orders before us even though we were seated LONG before them. There is ZERO exaggeration here. It took just over one hour from the time we were seated to receive our food while others seated after us got multiple drinks and food. Ridiculous!!! Plus I never got my water I asked for. Oh the food.... meh. They forgot to add any flavor. read more

When we moved into Fort Pierce, we had no clue where to eat. During the day we had seen this place situated right off the highway. So, that night, we figured we would try it. It was hard to tell if it was even open. Lighting outside the place is at a minimum. Honestly it looked a bit seedy in the darkness. Yet we were hungry and we did see the open sign. Inside was a 180 degree difference. It was bright and colorful; there was shiny terra cotta tiles everywhere. The service was fast and friendly. We had burritos and enchiladas that night, the first of many. The food is traditional Mexican and so tasty. Portions are pretty large and prices are reasonable for the area. Give it a try and ownership, if you are reading this, add a few lights outside to make it easier to find!! read more

Funky, fun, colorful decor. Large menu. Super fast service. Huge portions. Good prices. I think the couple next to us was only there 20 minutes from the time they sat, ordered, ate and left. That's how fast service was. Doesn't look like much on the outside and the bathroom looked scary- old, messy, but the food was very good. read more

Authentic, authentic is what I have to say. Firstly, let me say that I found this place when almost everything else was closed, so I was happy that they were open. Yes, it was the middle of the day and places were closed. Secondly, when I arrived, the surroundings were less than on par. They left me a little worried as to why a restaurant would be there or stay. Set up shop there. Anyway it was right off of the highway, not too far. Lastly, it was totally worth it. I honestly thought this would be a hole in the wall but you know what they say, hole in the walls are the best places. The restaurant was decorated with Mexican type banners and it has a giant chair for photos right near the front. Come on who doesn't love a good photo opp. But the most important, the absolute most important thing the food was freaking amazing. When I tell you that the locals were eating there, the place was packed with them. The host knew them most of them seem to be regulars, this is a good sign . When I saw that while placing my order, I knew I was in the right place. Being that my father is from Central America I am very picky with where I eat tacos. If I'm going for the Tex-Mex American thing sure, I'll eat at any average joint. But if I'm going for the authentic Central American or Mexican deal, it's very hard to please me. The only other authentic place that I've been to is way down south in Florida near the keys. This place is definitely in par with them. Stop in and enjoy a healthy serving size of delicious Mexican food , friendly, staff, and flavor. read more

This place is decorated with a variety of colors and flags. Traditional Mexican restaurant with an marine animal design for tables and chairs. Service is amazing. Multiple staff checking in with the table. For appetizers, we kept it simple only ordering queso dip. It was delicious. For lunch we tried their chimichanga and fajita combo. I ordered tacos asado to go. Everything was tasty, but they did not get the correct meat in the chimichanga. read more

Not sure how this place gets a rating of 4.5 stars. In a Very depressed area right off the highway in front of a shady motel. But we went in for lunch anyway due to the wonderful reviews. It's bright and colorful inside with a Mexican sea creature theme a bit odd but nice, only one other table was dining, not busy at all for the lunchtime hour. Ordered off the lunch specials that seemed to be the same price as the regular menu prices huh? That's ok, took a few minutes longer than anticipated to get our food but nothing too crazy. Food was good but not great. Chicken in the taco tasted overly smoky like too much liquid smoke or something. The ground beef taco was good. Rice and beans okay also, could have been hotter. Salsa was yummy with medium spice. So overall okay but wouldn't stop here again. Service was good too. read more

I read the reviews and was warned this place looked run-down. Ok, not a problem....but not one worker feels compelled to pick up empty cans and bottles in the front yard? I mean, the discarded trash outside this place is inexcusable. Long line of 3 parties in front of us at hostess stand so we squeezed our way through and sat at the bar. Very dirty, not wiped down, TVs were off....am thinking they're not used to many patrons sitting at the bar area. Area is dirty and completely trashed. Stacks and stacks of menus toppling over on one side of the bar. The booths behind us were taken up with a large container of silverware and another with a worker's car keys and other discarded items. If the food was mind-blowing I'd forgive all of the above. It was NOT. Salsa is basic/mediocre. Queso was gummy. Taco salad w ground beef was bland, not enough cheese, white parts of the lettuce were used. The flavor of literally everything was off, is the best way to describe it. Do not get me started on the bathrooms.....do NOT go in there, unless you want to regurgitate all the bland food you just ate. Do yourself a favor and go to Chick-Fil-A across the street. read more

Was tired of driving, thought I would just go to the restaurant close to the hotel for an OK meal. Boy was I surprised when they put my food in front of me. It was a shrimp meal, perfected! Food was delicious and authentic. It's spacious for big parties. Martin, the owner, went above and beyond.

Another great restaurant. Was seated quickly. The friendly server Lucy came over and made some suggestions. Against my better judgment I ordered the camarones a la diabla. After putting my order in, I second guessed myself. Would it be too hot? I like it hot but some diabla sauce at certain places is overkill. Well she brought it out and it was so good! Sure it was spicy, but it just tasted good. The beans and were great as well. I asked for corn tortillas. These tortillas must be hand made. They were thicker and tastier than the thin bland kind at the store. Lucy kept my iced tea filled up because it's easy to guzzle it when you're having something spicy. read more

Very nice Mexican restaurant. Spacious and really cute colorful decorations/furniture. Chips and salsa were provided free and were delicious. We ordered and shared an Asado Combo (skirt steak and shrimp). The plate as a whole was ok. Not the best but acceptable. The skirt steak was overcooked therefore was hard to chew but the flavors of the entire plate were on point. Also, do not share this plate since the steak is not big enough and there were only 4 shrimps. (We literally wanted more lol). read more

Charming restaurant with a fun mariachi band, scrumptious food and amazing wood carvings. Great location off the interstate.

Was looking for a place off the highway that wasn't fast food, reviews looked good, the curb appeal is a little off putting but the food wasn't bad. We ordered guacamole for an appetizer not bad cilantro needed to be chopped more, the kids had chicken fingers they seem to like them, fajita chimichanga which was as good as it sounds, the rice portion was kinda small. We also had the fajita tacos which came with 3 big tacos, beans and a small portion of rice. read more

One of the worst Mexican restaurants! The area is sketchy, at best. We were a party of 40+. How are we treated? 90° of little to no air conditioning. Karaoke of one, a self-centered, awful and loud. He rudely kept walking thru our group as if we thought he was great! The sound was blasting in our direction, making it impossible to hear each other! They refused to lower the sound to this ear piercing noise! There was only one waitress, though she tried, for the entire party, so service was lacking. We were there to celebrate! The poor celebrant! Instead, people were melting and totally unable to socialize due to this buffoon. In a very short time, people were just walking out miserable! read more

Any day is a good day for tacos when they're this good! I was recently in the area on a work trip and needed dinner. After a quick Yelp search, I found this gem. Very Authentic food and strong drinks! At a price point that's not going to breakfast the bank. Just like most other Mexican restaurants, the menu is extensive so you're guaranteed to find something you want. Our waitress didn't speak much English but we were able to order with little issues. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. read more

I love the guacamole at this restaurant, but the staff chooses their own hours. Sometimes they close an hour early sometimes it's 30 minutes early. If they don't feel like working anymore, they tell you they're closed and you can't order. This has happened to me on numerous occasions, and if you're ordering tacos and you want real authentic Mexican tacos, I was told that you have to ask for them specifically eSpecially if you're not Hispanic otherwise you will get the American version which are similar to Taco Bell and we're disgusting but when my husband calls in orders who speak Spanish fluently, he has no problem getting the correct tacos. read more

This place has great service and has great food. Freddy was our server. I would recommend this place.

It is just ok Mexican food. Nothing special, but not terrible, just fine. The service was a little slow and certainly not enthusiastic about the menu. The Queso was just ok. The rice was not great, the beans were ok. I actually thought the cheese enchilada was good. Again it was fine but I would not go back. read more
