These workers are so bad. They never take their job seriously. You will wait at least 20 to 30 minutes for your food and regardless of what you order your food will be cold or it will be missing items from it. When you ask them to fix your order they will give you an attitude and not help you for at least a couple of minutes making you feel as if you have done something wrong. read more

Absolutely lousy from food to service today. The service: We arrived (1 car on line) it took about 20 minutes for us to get to the window. We sat there about 15 more minutes before the food came out. First the sodas (3 different meal drinks), none of the description tabs were pressed down. We pointed it out to the person at the window who stood there 5 minutes staring at us, then said "smell it, l can't take it back" and slammed the glass shut. It's not like we took it anywhere (ie returning a food item). We hadn't received our food yet and were still sitting there waiting. The food: I have had decent food at Wendy's but today it left a bad taste in my mouth. The burgers were dry and unappetizing like they've been lying there for a couple of hours. My grandson had a chicken sandwich, it was one of the saddest chicken sandwiches I've ever seen. The sodas were very flat tasting, no fizz at all; it made me think of a few drops of syrup in tap water. I use to enjoy Wendy's on occasion. It will be a long, long time before l stop again; if ever. Ohhhh my goodness. We came inside for a quick breakfast. I got my cup and went to there drink machine. I got ice then started to fill up on some SpriteZero. About 8-10 fruit flies came out of the dispenser with the soda. Also, I couldn't walk across the floor because they mopped with the same, dirty mop they use in the kitchen. I almost fell 3 separate times. One of those times I was standing still at the counter and my feet were spreading. Don't know the men that were working tonight but we came at almost close (which I know can be annoying when trying to go home for the night) and they were literally so sweet to us, beyond just good customer service. This place needs to be cleaned. I understand that it is fast food and with the drive through and inside guests it can be a bit hectic, however someone is going to eventually get sick. The man in front of me ordered a burger with no pickle due to a pickle allergy. The person making the burger put the pickle on then removed it and placed it back in the pickle bin. Gross!!! I actually hate leaving bad reviews, but this Wendy's has no redeeming qualities. I was in line at the drive thru with one car ahead of me and they didn't speak to the customer for like 5 minutes and when it was my turn I waited another 5 minutes. I get up to the payment window and the girl was struggling with the Apple Pay machine. I ended up paying cash. Oh and I got an apple pecan chicken salad and they didn't have any apples. This was the most horrible fast food experience of my life. Ordered food for pick-up at 12:30 pm on a Saturday and when I showed up 15 min later at the approximated "ready" time, the door was locked. An employee motioned from inside and told me to go around to the other door, but when I walked around the building and got to the other door, it was also locked! After knocking on the door for several minutes the manager finally yelled from inside that I needed to go through the drive-thru. The drive through (which I had to walk through to get the other side of the building) wrapped around the whole building and was even backed up beyond the entrance to the parking lot!! I explained to the manager that I was there for pick-up order that I placed ahead of time but he told me they were "short of help" so they had "closed the inside of the restaurant and were only offering drive-thru service." (Meanwhile, I can see from outside through the windows that there are a few customers inside). As I'm walking back to my car, I see the same manager is now at the drive-thru window, so I tell him as I walk past that this doesn't make sense - why would I place an order for pick-up only to then have to wait 30+ minutes in a drive-thru line behind customers who haven't even placed their orders yet?? (I said this I n front of a truck that was stopped at the window that had several people inside). The manager responds, "that's fine," and tells me to go back to the door and he'll let me in. When I get back to the door the manager lets me (and the DoorDash driver who had shown up in the meantime for another pick-up order) that he is letting us in b/c he "doesn't want bad Google reviews." (I thinking "... so if reviews weren't a thing, you would have made us sit and wait in the drive-thru for 30+ minutes on food that was supposed to have been ready when we arrived?" As he let us in, the manager also told us they had closed the inside of the restaurant b/c they were "short on help." Once inside, I counted 4 employees plus the manager. It was just me and the DoorDash driver, yet it took another 30-minutes for them to prepare the 2 Frostys and 2 hamburgers I had ordered. (I had also ordered a taco salad but mid-food prep and while I waited, they told me mid food prep that they were out-of-stock of the dressing so I told them to just swap the salad with another hamburger.... meanwhile, the Frostys I had ordered were now starting to melt right in front of my eyes:( When all was said and done, it took a full 55 minutes for them to prepare my order. The DoorDash driver who was also waiting told me he was only making $4 on the delivery. Absolutely nuts. Wish I had that hour of my life back. AVOID this location. I love Wendy's - best fries, love the burgers. BUT THIS WENDY'S IS TERRIBLE. So sad. It's close to my house so I try it every few weeks (for the Frosties) but I'm disappointed in my decision every time. It's managed so poorly. Sometimes it's closed in the middle of the day. Once, I sat in front of the drive thru order station for five minutes and finally a worker said over the speaker "we're closed." Middle of the day! With workers inside! Sometimes they give you your drive thru order and it's missing half the food. Today, I stood inside for ten minutes in a long line going out the door and finally a customer asked if he could order and the workers said "we are only taking drive thru orders." No sign. Talk about the bait and switch... Try to get something on the cheap then the fella yells out a higher price... I try to ask about if they say meet me at the window... Ate here for lunch around 1:30 on a Saturday. Restaurant was fairly clean and mildly busy. Drive through had about 8 vehicles so I went in. I was 3rd in line. My whole process took approx 10 mins. Not horrible. Associates working the register wasn't fast but polite. Price is what is expected at a fast food restaurant. I asked for lettuce and tomatoe on my sandwich. There was a tomato so thin it was almost nonexistent. The lettuce was a small leaf of romaine, mostly stem. If I eat here again I may change the way I have to eat my burger. Ok, I've been here a few times over the months, I Lyft drive, so I'll stop by sometimes if I'm in the area. Well each time I've came here they never have frosty's, which is completely BS. And the service is very slow and staff seems to have attitudes. This last time I went never said the frosty machine was down, waited til after I placed my order and tells me at window and still charged me for the frosty. After seeing multiple bad reviews for the same thing, this establishment should close down or the whole staff need to be replaced with a much friendlier staff that will take care of the customers. I get the sense that this is a problem endemic to Meritage, the company that seems to own/operate most Wendy's in Richmond. They're all generally pretty crap.
