Unfortunately, this Wendy's has gotten worse. The introduction of AI (AI Fresh) for kiosk ordering has not gone well. All of my family's recent orders have been wrong. The AI can not understand special orders, I.e. "No Ketchup." How is a system that is flawed on all special orders helpful. At the first window, the crew member could not communicate due to a language barrier. The second window staff could communicate politely; however, she seemed overwhelmed. All receipts are a special request, and delay the drive through. For this, a manager needed to be requested In the end, the experience was negative and half the family got the wrong order Wendy's, you can do better and have in the past. I placed a mobile order on September 12 after work and arrived to be told that my order had already been picked up a few minutes before. I said I didn't pick it up, and asked if there could have been a mix up in handing out orders. The window attendant very kindly explained that that was likely and that to pull up to the next window and that they would sort things out for me. When I arrived at the next window, an employee said "I hate my job" and then turned her attention to me. I explained that I placed a mobile order but was told it was picked up already. She said that there was no mobile orders, and I again explained that it had been mistakenly handed out already. She told me to cancel my previous order, but when they had closed it out on their end the order went through on my end and I was unable to cancel it and I told her that. Make sure you get your receipt . They like to "forget" to give you a receipt so that you can come back and ask for the right order when they give you somethingg completely different. 2. We eat here all the time and almost never have issues with them getting the order correct (which, if you've ever worked in fast food, is unusual). The staff is generally pretty pleasant, and it's clean inside, especially after they rebuilt it from the ground up. Be aware, the drive-through can get pretty busy at lunch, and the line can extend out to the street (especially because there are inevitably a couple of idiots in line reading their cell phones and too stupid to move up and keep the line tight). Management should take a look at who was on the mic for this shift because they need to be written up for extremely poor customer service. He corrected me on the pronunciation of the drink I ordered for myself, then gave me lip when I saw on the screen that it said regular coke after I ordered a Vanilla Coke ordered for my wife. It was an extremely rude and disrespect exchange and I will never go back there again. Even his body language when he handed us our order was rude. He just silently handed it over too. We have been going here for years and until the last couple, have had good luck. It's fast food so I don't expect fine dining, just get my order right and keep the place clean. Tonight I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers and a large fry. I get to the window and he says $18.88. I say for 2 burgers and a fry? I then asked for the receipt and I am referred to the second window. I'll spare you the painful details but 10 minutes later, 3 employees and a manager later I took my money back and left without the food. The whole time we sat there I watched employees laughing and yelling like it was a party, twice they stopped long enough to ask me what I ordered so they could get it wrong 3 more times I guess. Funny story...well, not so much funny as it is long... I go in and order a plain baked potato. The guy (seemed to be the manager) asks what I want on it. I say that I want a plain baked potato, nothing on it. The guy asks me what I want on it. He gets a bit testy and lists off what I could have on it. I finally say, sure, the sour cream(which is the "plain" variety) He turns around and yells to someone behind him "Plain baked potato!" My wife ordered 2 taco salads from the Mansfield Wendy's. When she arrived home, there were no tortilla chips, no salsa, no dressing, and the "lettuce blend" was nothing but iceberg lettuce. We had to supply our own salad dressing and chips! I called the store twice to ask for the manager. Instead, the same woman hung up on me both times. There was so much background noise that she either did not hear me, was totally distracted, or did not care. On Nov. 28, I sent this complaint to Wendy's headquarters. The employee taking our order wasn't friendly or inviting, creating an incredibly unwelcoming environment. The soda machine didn't produce any ice, the vast majority of drinks were out of stock, and they failed to restock their ketchup as both were completely empty. What can I say? It's Wendy's! It's fast food. It isn't fancy. It isn't healthy. The burgers are greasy, but oh so good. It's just as you would expect from a fast food burger joint. If you really need to read a review of this place, it probably isn't for you. One of my favorites is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, but I also love the greasy, nasty Baconator from time to time. The line for the drive through is always long at lunch, but this place gets you in and out with minimal waiting - always a plus for people in a rush. read more
