I've never been to a QDOBA before but a lot of people have boasted about it so I decided to give it a try. I never liked Chipotle, always preferred Moes, and this was compared to Chipotle (even though theyre basically the same in terms of the idea, but Moes is better) either way, thats why I was hesitant. But I wish I wasn't. This place is SO GOOD. So fresh. Tasty too AND at a cheaper cost than both in my opinion!! Specifics: The shrimp was a mustt for a side to snack on honestly, if you like shrimp. And they don't charge extra for guacamole surprisingly. The Beef/Pulled Pork was really good; Hot. My friend and I walked in at 8 PM with very few people. Very clean, even behind the counter, and cleaning going on in the background. We sat down to eat as well and it was again clean, and simply enjoyable. Will be back. read more

They messed up my burrito and could not fit it inside of the tortilla, so instead of taking some out and putting it in a new tortilla, the extremely rude woman put the whole messed up burrito inside a new burrito. Never asked me if I was ok with two tortillas and then she couldn't even close that one lol. When we complained she yelled, said "ok don't" when told we would never come back, and tried to refuse remaking it. She finally remade it and slammed it down on the counter. I really enjoy all these convenient Mexican grill spots like Baja's, Chipotle, Etc. so it's no surprise to me that I would like QDOBA just as much. Portions are smaller than the other spots but just as delicious and still get you full. What stands out the most from the rest is that delicious Queso! Tonight my wife and I decided to try qdoba for the 1st time in many years. Our initial impression was that the store was a little dirty but we decided to give it a shot. Then it went south. We had a rewards coupon we tried to use. The cashier found the reward but in the process of ringing up our order forgot to order the reward. Upon asking where our free chips and queso were she said we didn't order them. So the manager, if you call her that, came over and told us we didn't order the reward. i guess showing the reward was just a "hey look what I have" moment for her. Of course I didn't want the reward I just felt like showing her the reward as if I won the lottery or something. one Would think that showing the reward would indicate that person actually wanted to redeem it but in their mind I guess not the manager said there was nothing she could do Becuse we didn't tell the cashier we wanted them and it was too late Actually she could have a) not been rude b) offered to provide what our reward was. all this over a 5.00 bag of chips and queso the manager, as MANY others reviewers seem to say, is not really cut out for her job. The category "Mexican" needs a sub-category like "Gringo Mexican" or "Pseudo-Mexican" for places like Qdoba and Chipotle. Americanized, cafeteria style pretender mexican. If you don't have 'mole you can't pronounce habanero and you have nothing refried you are not a real Mexican Restaurant. Yea, it beats Taco Bell, no having 5 kinds of salsa does not make you a Mexican restaurant. I do like their food as an option to greasy other fast food joints. read more

I don't think my stomach will ever be the same again! My cousin, her husband, and I went here after visiting the new baby in the family. We were on a search for cheap Mexican to load up our tum tums. Enter the food brick. My cousin was smart and got a taco salad. Her husband and I were not so smart. We went for chicken burritos with all of the fixings. In fact, my cousin's husband's burrito was so big it split and had to be double wrapped. We decided that the burrito bag was, in fact, heavier than the brand new baby we had just visited. Eager to dive into our Mexican paradise, my cousin's husband and I soon realized that devouring the food brick would be quite the challenge. Never fear, hungry stomachs are here! All I can say is that no one should consume that much food in one sitting. It tasted fine and all, but that kind of food can do a number on your. I laid down to sleep and my stomach kind of moaned something to the extent of: I'm sooooo fullllllll. :-) It's a good thing this place doesn't sell it to you by the pound because this would put them about of business. After 25 minutes of waiting and seeing NOT one person helped we left , as many other did too, they said they "filling all online orders before helping any in store customers?!? I order from this location at least once a week. The food is decent and depending on what day of the week you order the service is good. This past Friday was the the straw that broke the camels back!!!! The woman that works on Friday nights, has no customer service skills. Although, I can't deny that her and the other 2 boys were busting their butts, but the way she speaks to customers is unacceptable. If this was the first time I would let it go but this was the 3rd time. First of all If you offer curbside pickup then you should manage to bring the food out to the customers or DON'T offer it! The website tells people to be at the location in 11 minutes, they were running over 45 behind. As much as I would like to blame my complaints on the rude girl behind the counter, this is a management/corporate issue. Hire more people, no employee should be working their butt off like that. Get someone behind the counter who knows how to deal with upset customers. That girl is a hard worker but she should never talk to a customer. Make sure you have enough personnel to get the food to the curbside customers & don't offer a text message to tell them your outside that no one even looks at. Put your flashers on and wait! I used to be strictly a Chipotle fan (the mexican chain that's across the street from Qdoba) and I can't fully say that I've converted my burrito ways to strictly Qdoba but I have come here a lot more lately than other burrito places in town. I absolutely love their Queso. Fattening I'm sure, loads of cheese and onions - the perfect mix. Try the Queso burrito served up with your favorite kind of meat (chicken or steak) and the cheese just oozes between the rice and beans inside. I'm also a fan of their guacamole. It's made fresh daily from real avocados and makes whatever you choose more than worth it once you add a drop of guacamole on top. read more

As a Chipotle addict, I went on a mission to try Qdoba today and it wasn't bad. I feel the need to compare the two, especially where in Mansfield, the two are right across the street from each other, even if this puts Qdoba at a disadvantage. Qdoba Points: Qdoba has a larger menu than Chipotle. Qdoba has more salsas/sauces than Chipotle, including Queso. Qdoba Down-points: Not much meat put into burritos Guacamole may be "free", but the items themselves are priced higher than Chipotle, evening it out. Hot salsa is "Just okay" Burritos not bad but not great. Overall the place is not bad but if I want a giant burrito, I will just go to Chipotle and pay less. If I want to pay slightly more, I will go to Fiesta in Norton and have a nice dine-in experience. read more

I usually go to the Qdoba in Braintree Ma and enjoy every time!...This is only my third time at Qdoba and will never come back to the one in Mansfield Ma. I'm not sure how my quesadilla has no flavor but I can not enjoy it at all. Chicken taste burnt and lacks seasoning. Onions and peppers are barely cooked. 5 empty bottles of Tabasco. And they charged me for extra chicken cause I asked for chicken on the ends and not just the middle of the quesadilla. Was so disappointed in our experience tonight. I took my son for his first time because Chipotle had to close due to IT problem. The worker told us immediately that it would be a 15 minute wait. We decided to wait to order and stood there watching the 3 employees making order after order. Every customer that walked in he quickly tried to dissuade them from staying by saying it was going to be a long wait. We had been there patiently waiting for 30 minutes watching them take off the printer endless orders before I asked when would we be served ? The male told me that they would get to me when it was my turn. I left and informed the other 2 customers in line how long I had been waiting and ignored and we all left. Im going to preface this review by stating that we have a high risk newborn child, who recently was able to come home after four months in the NICU. So with that being said, and in the middle of a pandemic, in the rare event we order out the restaurant must deliver or have curb side pick up as an option. For our daughters safety we go out of our way to avoid any potential unnecessary contact. We decided to order dinner online from this location using the curbside pickup option. Order was placed for 5:45p pick up. I showed up 10 minutes early and shortly after arriving I received a text message from the restaurant asking to reply once I arrived and to park close to the building with my hazard lights on. I arrived and parked immediately in front of the building with hazards on and texted to advise I had arrived. I immediately received an automatic reply saying that the restaurant had confirmed and someone would be out to contact me shortly. It was at this point things started to go south in a hurry. 10 minutes passed and nothing, which was no big deal, dinner hour and busy holiday shopping center. Another 10 minutes, still nothing. After nearly 30 minutes, I look in and can see that the restaurant is not busy, and it's clear no one is coming out. I have no choice but to go in, they already took my money, despite the concerns over covid. Im just hoping my order hasn't just been sitting there getting cold, and I go in to check on why no one had come out. Let me describe the scene when I entered... Blaring rap music with profanity laced lyrics playing over the music being piped into the dining area. Literally every other word was a profanity or something completely inappropriate. I could care less what music you listen to on your own time, but its not professional in the dining area of a family restaurant. There's a young kid in the back yelling out the lyrics at the same time, so it was extremely loud. The speaker was between the front counter and the "kitchen". The employee in the back has a mask around his neck, not covering his mouth, or his nose. Hes slinging out treys of food to the front counter with zero PPE. The best part was when he put his hand down the back of his pants and then proceeded to grab a container of what I presume was fajita veggies and passed it to the front. There were two other girls preparing food and 2 other customers, 1 whos order was being paid for and another waiting. A third customer entered shortly after I did also confused about his order that was late. So when I walk in I head directly to the register area and no one acknowledges me at all. Not a big deal they were finishing up for the gentleman at the register. Once complete, still nothing. Now the kid in the back starts yelling and cursing, presumably at the two girls out front, for not doing something. The 3 of us left are all looking at each other in disbelief. The other gentleman who walked in shortly after I did, was also not acknowledged at this point. So we are all just standing there listening to them all cursing at each other, not being helped. Finally once of the girls looks at me and asks "what do you need". I told her I had placed a curbside order for pickup (now almost 30 minutes ago), and had sent the text twice with no reply. She was extremely rude and said "I don't know why you would text, we don't even have that yet", like I had anything to do with their broken process. I said I didn't know the texts had been sent to me automatically telling me how to proceed. She scoffs at me, and starts acting all disgusted as she rips through a bunch of receipts. Apparently she found mine and they started to make the order. At this point the kid in the back is coughing while hes purposefully slamming things around in frustration while yelling out the rap music even louder. The girls finish the order and hand it to me and sighed at me again, like I was inconveniencing them. Now Im angry. I asked if they were serious, how can you be so unprofessional, and why would you think all of this is ok. I wasn't yelling, I was not rude, I was simply asking what they were thinking. The "manager" whos name I think was Christine or Catherine, said rudely "if you don't like it, you can leave". Im sorry what? What did you just say to me. The kid in the back starts waving his spatuala at me like a child. I have never seen anything like this. EVER. I never complain about anything. This basically 3 employees who just did not care. Didn't care about the customers in the building. Didn't care about PPE and cleanliness during a worldwide pandemic. Just complete ignorance and unprofessionalism. When I left, one of the other guys who was waiting walked out behind me, and we were both shocked at what we had just experienced. These kids deserve to be fired. It was that bad. read more

Went in to pick up an on line order. Had a FULL mask on as they require. I have asthma and it is hard to breathe so the top of my mask was sitting on the top of my nose. This self righteous employee by the name of Amanda yells from about 8 feet away "We don't have to serve you" "You are putting my life at risk" First I wasn't even dealing with her, second I had a mask on and third she was more than 6 feet away. It covered my mouth & nose so I am not sure what her issue was. I told her to call the police while I waited but evidently she realized how foolish she was being and quieted up. I am in love with Mexican food and Qdoba is able to supply me with a great chicken burrito fix. Qdoba allows you to make your own burrito and it is done right in front of you. Beans? Chicken or beef? Sour cream? Guacamole? Anything you want. How can you go wrong? The only complaint, and the only reason for the 4 versus 5 stars, is the extreme saltiness of the chips. If you order a bowl of chile con queso, the chips can be overpowering. Mexican chips made from corn tortillas do not even have to be salted. Plus, you put more salt on but you cannot take it off! read more

I would rather go to Qdoba over chipotle but no longer. I ordered 2 burritos, and combined they had enough filling for one. I had to ask if there was even meat in mine. Barely any rice. I don't need a huge portion but when my burrito is mostly tortilla wrapped around itself due to lack of filling it's frustrating. I love this place! It's like a step up from Taco Bell, but with more choices than a Chipotle! Their veggies are fresh, the meats are never oily, and everything is made for you right on the spot! The best part is the huge menu! With all these options, how are we supposed to decide?! My only complaint for this location is that they need to hire more people! Very disappointed in our visit to Mansfield Ma Qdoba. It was Tuesday 7:30 pm. Everything needed to be refilled. No lettuce,onions,corn. Everything else was nearly empty. I asked if they were closing and I was told No. So I asked if they could refill and was told they didn't have anything. My husband was very concerned about the cook with his mask below his nose. The young girl asked if he we wanted him to cover his nose. YES. but shouldn't even have to ask. Then the cook joked about it. Disappointed. Basically my first and last experience was awful. I got rushed through the process of making my burrito. Everytime I would tell the employee what I wanted and didn't want, the employee would motion to something I didn't want and almost put it on my burrito. I missed out on adding bacon because I was rushed. The queso tasted old and nasty. The employee then ripped my burrito and asked if I wanted it re-wrapped and I said yes. Then hesitantly asked me if I would just like it double wrapped, and me being nice because the employee was so lazy I said yes.
