Went to Gillette Stadium for a game, and my friends happened to want fries, so we came here…read more Little Cheeseburger: I tried the "All the way" burger for the first time, and just as I predicted, the cold vegetables and sauce quickly cooled the burger, while their moisture made the bun soggy, soft, and brittle. And the Jalapeno peppers were really spicy... Little Fries: The fries were as generously portioned as ever; thick-cut fries with skin and deep-fried in peanut oil are hard to go wrong with. But they didn't seem freshly fried; they weren't exactly cold, but they weren't hot enough, and the aroma and crispiness were significantly reduced. Little Cajun Fries: With Cajun chili powder, they weren't too spicy, but the main problem was that they were too salty. Milkshake: With Oreo cookies and whipped cream, it was so delicious it brought tears to my eyes... The texture was so rich that I couldn't drink it through the straw; opening the lid and enjoying a big bite of sweetness was the ultimate bliss. Oreos are the absolute key to achieving a balance between taste and texture!

Tried Shake Shack today and honestly it was pretty disappointing. Our order took over 30 minutes,…read morethe trash was overflowing in both the dining room and bathroom, the fries were still cold in the middle, and by the time I finally got my drink, all the ice had already melted. If we had noticed the overflowing trash before we ordered, we definitely would not have eaten there. Definitely not the experience we expected.

After all the shopping we did, we worked up an appetite; not large enough to eat a full sit down…read moremeal, rather, a snack. Shake shack appeared before us, so my friend and I decided to share a burger. I t was his first time, so I stuck to the very basics - a classic single cheeseburger with parmesan garlic fries (okay, the fries weren't so basic). We used their kiosks to order which were very easy to navigate, took a number, and found a table - although all the booths were taken since it was packed. The total was around $15 pre tip ($7.99 + $5.99) which I thought was a bit steep. While we waited, we served ourselves some water and got some ketchup at the counter. We also noticed how attentive the staff were; immediately cleaning up after customers and bringing the food to your table. I typically don't tip at fast food restaurants but I am glad I tipped here since they really work for it. The food came out after about 15 minutes. The burger looked delicious, albeit a little small. I was hoping the fries would have shredded instead of grated parmesan. The fries were okay, and so was the sauce. I would have preferred the regular cheese fries. The burger was also okay. Everything tasted very fresh. I think a double patty would have made it better, but it was not worth paying $2.50 more for a thin patty. The toppings were fresh, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The bathrooms were pretty clean. I think this spot is relatively new at Wrentham and will do well - it's quick good food and there's seating.

Big Chicken at Wrentham is currently operating as a food truck while the full retail location gets…read moreready to open, which is worth knowing before you make the trip specifically for it. We walked up to a limited menu that comes with the format, but what is available lands well enough that it is worth stopping for if you are already at the outlets. The chicken is the obvious centerpiece and when it is fresh it delivers. The crust is crispy in a way that holds up and the chicken itself stays juicy underneath, which is the balance that makes or breaks a fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich is large and the fries and dipping sauces round things out into a complete meal without much effort. Overall though, it was a little bit of a disappointment. Consistency can vary depending on when you show up. Catching the chicken fresh out of the fryer is when it is at its best, and a less fortunate timing can mean something that does not fully live up to what the better visits suggest. The food truck operates on its own schedule, so checking hours before you go is a good habit, particularly later in the afternoon. We noticed that meals do not automatically come with a drink, which is easy to miss when ordering. Ordering online ahead of time is the smarter move if you want to avoid a wait and pick up without standing in line. For a quick fried chicken stop at the Wrentham outlets while the permanent location is still under construction, Big Chicken works as a convenient option if you time it right. We would come back once the full restaurant opens, but for now we would check the truck's hours and order ahead to stack the odds in our favor.

Overall, I think I'd rather go to a Raising Cane's or even KFC for their chicken. We won't be back.
