While at the Pilot here in Hesperia I felt hungry and decided to go and get Wendy's to go. The inside of the place was pretty clean when I walked in and there was a medium size line. When I got to the counter the staff member I ordered from was quite nice unlike what I read in the other reviews about this place. I ordered the Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich with a small fry and a medium sprite. When I got my food my order looked to be correct unlike what the other reviews said. When I took a bite of my sandwich to my surprise the it was really good! The chicken sandwich was nice and hot and it tasted fresh. The fries were nice and crispy and they also tasted fresh as well. I'm not sure if I'll ever come back to this fast food joint because I was making a snack stop on the way to Spangler Hills, but if any of you are in the area doing the same I'd definitely recommend this Wendy's. read more

I went in to this location and asked the manager to please make all of my food fresh seeing that it was pretty late ..... and for that request what I got was old french fries that were sitting out already but the manager thought it would be a great idea to re-drop old fries into the oil and the bread on my burger literally was crunchy and hard. This has been going on for not only this location but a bunch of locations and due to not only the fries being bad but the fact that every time I grab a burger from Wendy's the bread is hard as crackers. I just had my worst experience at Wendy's ever I pull up to the drive-through and order a number 9 and say "and um"and they're immediately rudely rushing me asking me if I needed help with the menu I said no I'm just reading the menu. I just need a minute and the lady tells me to just pull up. I had barely driven up when this happened it's not like I was sitting there for a long time So instead of ordering more I decided fine that's all I'm getting and then they couldn't even get my order right? I had to drive back through the drive-through and ask them to correct it and then when I explain to them I'm trying to be nice, but it is very rude to rush somebody and not allow them to read the menu. They didn't say anything then close the window and proceeded to laugh about it on the other side talking to each other's I didn't even get an apology for rushing me or getting my order wrong. So I can't recommend this Wendy's at the pilot station. I thought it would be good to get cheaper gas and a cheaper snack along the way, but since it's four in the morning they said the only thing they can make is a chicken sandwich and the frosty is three dollars. Not trying to be a Grinch but pilot must charge them a lot to rent the space that's all I can say. They did not have any dollar menu she said. The cheapest chicken sandwich they have is $6.89. This Wendy's is located in/adjacent to the Pilot Travel Center. For a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, the food was pretty decent. Average Wendy's fare, but it still tasted pretty good. The girl behind the register could use an attitude adjustment, though. Her "courteous service" was obviously forced, but maybe she was just having a bad day. Nonetheless, I'd recommend stopping here to fill up your car with cheap gas, using the restroom facility and grabbing a nice hot meal for the road. read more

I love that they don't reduce their menu to a few "late night" options. They'll make your order fresh, which is nice but does mean a bit of a wait at 2:30AM. Very friendly staff. Clean seating area. Attached to a Pilot gas station, so you can also buy caffeine and use the restrooms. Truckers regularly use this as a rest stop, so it doesn't have that desolate feel that some places off the highway have. read more

This Wendy's is joint beside a gas station convenient store. Most of the people in there were either on vacation (like myself) or truck drivers. DELICIOUS! I had their 1/2 pound double cheeseburger with a side of chili. It was delicious. There's a Wendy's in my city, but it has always been quite grungy in there, with food that tastes old and not fresh, so I was not expecting much going into this one. The food here tasted really fresh, and really good. My friend said that they don't freeze any of their beef patties, and they make them all fresh. Maybe they've changed the way they do things at all the Wendy's in the past couple years---I don't know. All I know was that I was really impressed with the food this time compared to past experiences at other Wendy's restaurants. FRIENDLY! For a sit-down restaurant, it's common for the staff to come by and ask how things are going once or twice. For a fast-food place like Wendy's, I wouldn't expect anything from the staff. At this Wendy's 3 different staff members came by our table to check how we were doing and if there was anything they could do for us. One of them was the manager. For such a small place, THAT is good service. The staff all looked very happy to be working there together as well. Overall, a very welcoming, friendly environment. My reputation of Wendy's has been changed. I might give the Wendy's at home a chance again, after not eating there for years. I'd be happy if it was as good as this one. read more

The Food: - The food is great and delicious. But this is true for about every Wendy's restaurant I have ever been to (and I have been to quite a few). The lettuce is crisp and the meat is juicy. Great food like always. The Customer Experience: - I usually eat here around 3 times a month. The only problem I face EVERY time is the service. When I drive-thru, I don't get a "please", "thank you", "you're welcome", etc. etc. They also don't look very happy working here. The same goes for dining in. Not sure exactly when it happened... but it happened. They use to have fast impeccable service. Then suddenly they became slow and idiotic. They screw up my order every time. The latest is I double checked the bags for the usual mistakes so didn't notice I was jipped my drink until I was almost home. Had to drive all the way back. I continued to give them a try thinking I had bad luck or they hit a bad patch etc. Plus they are open late and located on my exit, so it was convenient, but not any longer. It will be faster to drive out of my way to go somewhere else that doesn't consistently screw up an order and take an eternity to do it.
