My family has been going to this Wendy's for many years. The staff at this Wendy's location are much faster than any other local fast food and get the order right at least 95% of the time. Can't go wrong with a nice greasy burger after a night out. This location has been pretty consistent with the quality of their items. The drive thru is quick and there are plenty of places to sit and eat. Can't say much about the food because it's fast food... You get what you get. The good thing about Wendy's is that it has enough items on their menu that everyone can find something they like... Ordered 2 Honey Butter biscuits plain at the drive-thru. They were listed as being 99 cent each. Firstly: they kept ringing up the chicken biscuit, after correcting them several times they rang up 2 biscuits but at 1.19 a piece. I mention it at the window and am told " that's what it says nothing we can do about it ". Changing the menu board to reflect the newer higher price is not an option? Apologizing for the oversight or thanking me for bringing it to their attention - not part of the protocol? A little background on me. I am 63, disabled, grandmother with 4 children and 5 grandchildren. I usually go to the ARBY's next door but it was packed and I didn't want to have to wait that long and since Wendy's was right next door I thought "wow" I haven't been there in quite some time, lets check it out!" There was LITERALLY no one there except for one car in the lot at 6pm at night. 3 employees, two men, one woman. When I got to the drive in speaker (no one in line just me and one checking out at the window, it was empty there) I inquired whether or not there was milk in the buns since I am lactose intolerant. The woman said "I don't know" and said nothing further with a sharp tone in her voice. At the time I didn't know why she was stressed and not helpful. She asked did I want something then and I felt pressure to make a choice with no helpful allergy information so I said I'll take a spicy chicken and a grilled chicken and when she asked about the drink and size you could tell at this point she was trying to rush me through and get off the headset for some reason and seemed again, "stressed". When I got to the pickup window a heavy set gentleman, her and one other male were all having a argument or difference of opinion on something with each other right at the window area. He took my card and then handed it back after charging me. I asked could I have a receipt and he said "you want one?" I was thinking YEAH I JUST ASKED FOR ONE. At this point I was getting a little hot I'll admit that. He handed me the receipt and closed the window and they continued a stressed conversation between them. When he opened the window and handed the bag to me I said "Is EVERYTHING in there?" he said "Yes". I then even wished him a good night and drove away. While on my way I reached inside for the straw and found someone placed both sandwiches on top of the straw mashing it pretty good. I thought to myself "well no big deal its plastic right?" I then reached for the fries and set them into my console holder to enjoy a few while I was traveling back home, I always like to do that. I found to my dismay that THEY WERE HALF COOKED AND PARTLY RAW!!! I ate them anyway GRRRRR!!!! I was hungry! I got home to call corporate and let them know about the poor situation I had just experienced at this location and thought to myself "NOW I know why the place was empty". After being on hold for FIFTEEN minutes I was notified there were 40 people ahead of me! GRRRRR!!!!! I thought to myself there must just be one person taking all these calls! I decided to hold on and find out. After another 10 minutes the voice said once more that there were still 35 people ahead of me and thats when I decided to just hang up and deal with this online. Folks, do yourself a favor like all the other people did that night, go to the ARBY's next door EVEN IF ITS PACKED because the people are nicer, the food is better quality and its worth the wait. I can't believe they allow people like that to work at the Wendy's location there in Hamburg, the place is going to close with those kind of employees arguing in front of customers and half cooking their food? WHO DOES THAT??? I realize they don't get a ton of money for working there BUT THERE ARE BUSINESS STANDARDS and they for sure aren't making the grade. Enjoyed a visit a few weeks ago. Little expensive, but the burger and chili were good. Fresh & hot. The lunch room was clean. Next visit, really disappointed. French fries soggy & stale as if left over from lunch. Lettuce in burger was tough. Ok, they were having a bad day. Yesterday went for dinner, ordering the same usual. Chili wasn't hot, burger wasn't that good...but mainly the place was a mess. Fries on the floor, garbage on the tables....and due to short staffing a long wait to place an order. Eh... I think I will try going to a different Wendy's. For the amount of $$ spent I could have gotten a similar meal at a restaurant. Our food wasn't bad, albeit somewhat more expensive than McDonalds or Burger King. What I was astounded by was when Kevin, the cashier dropped the F bomb in response to an elderly lady he felt was a pain. Yes, Kevin, the elderly can be trying but repeating (meaning he said it more than once) the F Bomb in front of my 9 year old grand daughter was much more trying for us.
