You see, instead of trying to move the line along and keep up with orders they take and fulfill one order at a time. It's probably a good 5-6 minutes before reaching the speaker (and 1-2 "we'll be right with you"s) before you get to place your order. My fiance is lactose and he ordered a sandwich with no cheese and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, thinking that it was a simple order we drove home to Millers Falls from Greenfield without looking at our order. When we got home my fiance opened his sandwich to find cheese and I found breaded chicken. Decided last night that I was in the mood for some late night fast food and decided to stop in at Wendy's. When I pulled up there was no line, and the employee at the drive thru was extremely polite and quick. When I got to the window he greated me and interacted with me as if he cared, instead of just pushing me through. The food was made fresh, and the fries were right out of the frying machine. Remember that if people are happy with their order like we were, most don't take the time to write a review. We ordered the taco salads, a large and a small that comes with tortilla chips, medium salsa, sour cream and Wendy's chili that you put on a garden salad with cheese when you're ready to eat. It was a delicious combination! Enjoyed 2 small chocolate frosties also. We didn't wait long for our server to fix our salad and drinks. The first time the hunger struck, I decided to hit up the Greenfield Wendy's after work. The drive-thru only had about 4 cars this time, and after I finally was handed that warm bag of meaty goodness, I couldn't wait to *finally* put an end to this hunger that was haunting me. I came in the other day and the fries weren't hot, but I just tolerated it, because I didn't want to waste them. One of the doors was locked, because the manager couldn't find the key. Here is an idea... when I say leave something off my meal, LEAVE IT OFF! This is not a one time complaint, but a culmination of years of incorrect orders. Upon leaving the drive thru one must carefully inspect the bag as often I've had incorrect orders, other people's food, or just missing items. Service can be painfully slow and still inaccurate from the order placed. Complaints are met with rudeness and condescending tones from managers, who often don't offer replacement for incorrect items and blame you for the employee's stupidity. When I always say no mayo, it doesn't mean light mayo, heavy mayo, or any mayo. The employees are too robotic to differ preparation at all. Go to McDonald's down the road, it's cheaper and the employees don't treat you like an idiot for their mistakes. read more

I'm usually a big fan of Wendy's food in general, I think its the best fast food of the big 3, but this location is terrible. I was happy to see it opened back up this summer, and for a while it was good, the service was always fast despite the large amount of customers. But it didn't take long for it to go down hill. Now, the last few time I have been there its been horrible. The service is very slow in the drive through, and it doesn't seem to matter if there are 10 cars in line or if I'm the only one there ordering food. I give my order and then without fail, after I pay I'm told to pull ahead and wait for my food, tonight it took at least a good 15 minutes for them to come out with it. The worst part was that I not only had to wait for my food to be cooked but they also decided to go ahead and make the meal for the people behind me and bring them out at the same time, so at this point mine was cold. It's just ridiculous how slow they are now, both the Wendy's in Brattleboro and Hadley are much much faster. The other thing is that even though I have to wait extra long to get the food 8 times out of 10 its not done right, and I always have to check my food to see if it was made right and if not go in and get it remade (again slowly) while the rest of the food gets cold. They just seem to run out of things quickly as well, Chili and Baked Potatoes mostly, so kind of takes the variety away that Wendy's prides itself on offering. I hope they get new management or something, I keep hoping each time I go its just a fluke but its been too many times in a row, I don't recommend it unless you enjoy your food made incorrectly, cold and having to wait quite a while for it. read more

I'm sorry but I just returned home from this drive through and I am very disappointed. My boyfriend ordered a 4 for 4 with a simple burger, he specified no cheese, only ketchup and pickles. I ordered a simple burger, again no cheese, only ketchup and pickles, with an extra side of pickles. The man at the drive through even repeated back our exact order. When we got home and dug into the food, both burgers had cheese on them and NO PICKLES. And no side of pickles! My burger was also very pink inside it didn't seem safe to eat, went right into the trash.
