This is NOT just another Wendy's. That's right this place is NOT just your typical Wendy's restaurant that you're used to. Why do you ask? Come and visit this upscale version of an everyday fast food chain and you'll see for yourself. The layout of this restaurant is much different from any Wendy's I've been. The ordering counter is at the side of the restaurant and the pick up as at the back sort of around the corner if you will. The layout, dining area, and footprint is not your typical Wendy's indeed. Upon entry you will see the "Wendy's Etobicoke" Welcome wall. You really cannot miss it considering it is the wall you will see upon entering the western doors. The furniture is different. Cusion type benches in the booths, couch type seating with a table near the faux fireplace and mounted flat screen television. A Coke Freestyle machine adorns the corner to allow you to refill with the kinds of Coke products not typically seen in bottles or cans. Cherry Coke? Vanilla Coke? Caffeine free Diet Coke? All the others you may or may not want just there for the trying. Sprites, Barqs, all the Coke products yes. It's like your own little World of Coke from Atlanta in a vertical touch screen interface just like you would expect in the future except it's all happening now. The food is pretty much the same as any Wendy's but this place just feels special. It's a trick, but it's not. Nice staff, clean, well kept. This restaurant has been here for several years and is the nicest Wendy's I know of... AND it happens to be in Etobicoke. Welcome to Wendy's Etobicoke.

The store was out of meat pies, but they had some from this company. Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I decided to grab two. I ended up picking up Beef 'n Beer and Braised beef rib. From the moment I brought it home, put my oven on and let the cooking process happen, it was life-changing. The flavour of the Beef 'n Beer is my absolute favourite, and I was jonesing so much I had to find more. Thankfully, they have a retail store! I visited the location when it was just before a holiday, and I was fortunate to try the limited-edition Thanksgiving pie. That pie wasn't my favourite, but it was still good. The best pies so far (There are multiple flavours to choose from) are the Beef n Beer and the Braised beef is pretty good. I found the peppercorn pie to be overpowering if you don't really like peppercorns. It's a delicious place you must put on your list to try

The new location is certainly dofferent than their previous locations that were definitely harder to see and find if you were not in the know, compared to the easily visible from the Gardiner Expressway location now. As you enter your nose is hit with the intoxicating buttery pastry baking aromas and you are instantly hungrier. Your eyes then catch up as you start to see all the offerings in the cooked and ready to eat display cases. Along with their favourite savoury fillings they have added sweet and baked goods and even self service salads. A gem in the area, I hope they have continued success and are a long term staple for the neighbourhood. If you atr within the GTA make the drive, you will not be disappointed. Yum-o!

To watch the lady make the burger through the window to the grille - wow! I have rarely seen someone take such care in making the burger. Prepared and packed perfectly - everything spot on centre of bun. Just enough sauce. Just enough seasoning. Glad I tried this one.

Like the fact you have 3 options for buns - Brioche, Sesame and Poppyseed. Overall though I found the burger just average. Meat was ok but bit bland tasting imo even with the Acme sauce on it. - Grilled Chicken - added mushrooms to this sandwich. Chicken was a good portion size but just average again imo. Chicken Acme sauce has some kick to it vs the burger version. Service (3.75/5) - Server at front was friendly, however was a bit on slow side getting the orders. Atmosphere (3.75/5) - it has this classic burger joint feel to it with bright colours and clean overall. Parking can be tricky if it's busy with limited spots. Overall (3.75/5) - it's a perfectly fine burger joint however nothing really stood out for me food wise. They seem to be busy enough and have been on this corner for a few years now.

I was in the area running an errand and I decided to grab some McDonald's for lunch…read more I was hoping for the McRib but they were unfortunately sold out, so I instead decided to go with the Spicy Deluxe Bacon McCrispy ("our southern-style fried chicken patty on a soft potato bun, topped with shredded lettuce, hickory-smoked bacon, tomato and our spicy Habanero sauce"). I ordered using one of their kiosks and the food was ready within five minutes. I took it out to the car and began eating. It's a decent sandwich. The chicken was pretty crispy, yes, but it was also kind of dry. The plentiful sauce helped in that regard, although it was hardly spicy at all. (Did I get the wrong sauce?) The amount of bacon was so minuscule that they might as well not have included any, but it did give the whole thing a decent crunch. The potato bun seemed fresh. I also grab a few containers of the special Savoury Chili WcDonald's Sauce, which turned out to be a spicy Szechuan sauce. It's probably a little too sweet but I quite enjoyed it and it was perfect for dipping my sandwich into.

Their butter chicken was soooo creamy and flavourful, the beef and lamb were both so tender and juicy, the paneer was so yummy and thick cut pieces so so filling. Not pictured are the shakes but they were so thick and delicious! Literally every item was bang on, from the sandwich to the bowl to the rolls! I've also never tried a fried chicken sando with butter chicken sauce and it was IMMACULATE, gully boyz y'all are onto something here haha :P I also HAVE to mention, their rolls were made with lachha parathas which is exactly how it's made back home in Kolkata so this was definitely a trip down memory lane for me :) Thank you Nalin for the incredible eats and amazing customer service, I wish you all the best for your restaurant and can't wait to see the success you achieve! Gully boyz is a ghost kitchen concept and is tucked away in Etobicoke on Lockport avenue along with many other restaurants as well! So what are you waiting for ?! This is the kind of place you go when you want to step away from overly fancy burgers and just enjoy something classic that works. I ended up trying most of the lineup, and honestly, there is not a dramatic difference between the Automatic with Cheese, Bacon Cheese Automatic, and Golden State. The builds are fairly similar, which is not a bad thing, just something to note. The standout for me was the Hotomatic with Cheese. The hot pepper slaw had more heat than expected and added a real kick between the patties that made it memorable. If I had to recommend just one, it would be either the Automatic with Cheese or the Golden State. Both are clean, balanced, and hard to mess up. My biggest obsession here is the fries cooked in beef tallow. There is something about them that instantly brings back the taste I remember from childhood. If anything, I just wish they came in a larger portion. One small letdown was the Bacon Cheese Automatic. While the burgers overall feel thoughtfully assembled, the bacon felt oddly disconnected, almost like it was added as an afterthought. Instead of blending in, it stood out with sharp saltiness and threw off the balance a bit. That said, this place does exactly what it sets out to do. Simple, nostalgic, and executed with care. I will gladly be back.
