We went for breakfast for my birthday and it was incredible! Three of our family members ordered "the Chiefs Breakfast" talk about a lot of food!! Three huge slices of probably the best French Toast I've ever had!! Eggs, homemade toast (be sure to specify) home fries (I asked for onions in it) and bacon! This place always has great food and the staff are great. Prices are extremely fair for the quality. Staff members are always very friendly and accommodating with minimal wait times. Local hangout spot for the locals, and they're all very friendly as well. Steak sandwich is great and I think they have one of the BEST Friday fish frys around. Had both of these multiple times. Think twice before patronizing WENDY'S DINER (Cassville) As promised...I warned Wendy's diner I would make sure I posted this! I phoned Monday to inquire if they would be able to accommodate my family of 20 following my Dad's burial on Wednesday at 1:30pm. I was asked to hold while she checked with management & when she returned she advised they could & I reiterated, Wednesday at 1:30pm & she said yes. Fast fwd to today (Wednesday) when we arrived we were told that the party of 20 was Tuesday and they didn't have staff to accommodate us today. I told her it was not my fault that she had written the incorrect day and I'm pretty sure I knew what day my Dad's burial was. She tried saying that the individual (me) had called yesterday and said we weren't coming. I told her that was a bold face lie, She refused to serve us and had no apologies in fact was very nasty and rude!! When I advised the public would hear of my experience her gesture was, "do what ya gotta do". If this is how this establishment treats grieving customers imagine what an average customer off the street may be treated like? read more

Amazing food and got to meet Wendy couldn't be happier!! Service was fast and people are friendly. Wendy is a nice lady!!

There aren't many choices on this route, the other commenter is right. But it is quite a find. The decorations make it very American diner as does the crowd of regulars and the plates. I chose the trucker's breakfast off the menu which was flooded with advertisements and written in comic sans. The plate of food arrived just in time to cure my hangover. Is there anything better than a plate full of potatoes, onions, peppers, ham, bacon, sausage, topped with over easy eggs and cheese with rye toast? Is there? No. The answer is no. I wouldn't say it was the best breakfast hash I'd ever eaten but for the portion and the price, it was about ten bucks, Wendy's gets four stars from me. read more

My boyfriend and I go here almost every other week. The employee always greets us and is very welcoming, she is polite and remembers our orders. We order the chicken tenders with fries and honey mustard. This is our favorite meal and it never disappoints! Highly recommend the diner, the whole atmosphere is cozy. read more

Roll the dice - If you're lucky you'll get good food, if your fish fry is curled (and over browned/burnt) from over cooking you lose. If you complain and request to have a replacement - the owner will nastily insult you by stating all of them curl (NOT true!) and will shove it back in your face. How lucky do you feel? read more

Great little diner. Hard working and friendly staff, especially Brenda- she was so attentive and has a great sense of humor! I had the Cinnamon French Toast. I was worried it might be too sweet but it was PERFECT. Buttery and slightly sweet- delicious! Others at my table had eggs and enjoyed the crispy hash browns. There was mention by another reviewer that the service was slow, but this was not out experience at all. They have 2 waitresses for the whole place and if it's a busy time, one would expect it would hard to provide fast service. It was busy when were there and those ladies were busting their butts so no complaints from us. If you're in the area and want a good hearty breakfast, I would highly recommend Wendy's. read more

Awesome place to eat. Friendly staff and cusromers. Great traditional diner food and wonderful ice cream creations in the summer! The owners have always been ones to help their community, and are proud to show off the surrounding first responders and their efforts with the decorations, pictures, and patches on the wall. Their breakfast meals are all named for different fire fighter sayings. There is a nice down home feeling with little quirky signs through out the diner. The owners even come out and visit with the customers from time to time, unlike in other businesses where the owners don't have a face. GREAT DINER! Our first but not last time here! The waitstaff is very attentive and treat you like family. The food is VERY good, portion sizes are huge and prices are very affordable, below norm! Trying something different for a Friday morning breakfast we decided to drive down to Wendy's Diner in Cassville. It's a little place adjacent to the Fire Station, decorated inside with very Americana diner motif, much of it humorous signs and fire service collectibles. We were approached right away by a friendly waitress, were given menus that had a large selection of breakfast and lunch items. We both chose the Chiefs breakfast that couldn't have be made any better and certainly was more than the average person could handle for breakfast. Everything was cooked properly , and tasted delicious. Very reasonably priced and excellent service. My husband and I love coming here to eat. Everyone is super friendly and the food is fantastic. If you leave hungry it is your own fault. And their Friday night Fish Fry is out of this world, all fresh fish (not the nasty tasting frozen stuff), and it just melts in your mouth. We have stopped here a few times . The place is clean and waitresses are friendly, but was disappointed with the food. We had Hot Turkey Sandwiches....the Turkey was sandwich meat on regular white bread with canned gravy. We expected something much more and were very disappointed. Another time we had Breakfast...the home fries we hard and tasteless and the sausage pattie was burned. On May 22 2017 we happened upon this little gem in search of a nice breakfast. We were not disappointed!at first glance the outside was very unassuming but stepping inside we found it clean with a counter full of regulars. The menu had some surprises such as homemade chipped beef on toast and my choice of fresh blackberry pancakes. The pancakes were light, fluffy and HUGE!!! Homefries we well seasoned and nice and crispy just like they should be. The waitress who turned out to be the owners daughter was great . We had a great conversation with the owner for about 30 min and we will definitely go back. It would be well worth the 2 hr drive. The residents in this area are lucky to have this place. Very slow getting our meals. We were there about an hr. Before we got them. Waitress never stopped to see if i wanted a refill of my drink. Then when the food finally came my wife's bacon came it was so burnt it was black and unedible. Then the check came and the over charged us for a drink. My wife said something to our waitress and said sorry it is only a diffrence of 30 cents. Will not be back again. read more
