We have ordered online and picked up at this location a couple of times recently, and on our latest visit, we ordered in the store and took take out. First, I must say that the food is typical Wendy's fare. But the main reason I jumped up to 4 stars is the service and online ordering process. I have a different Wendy's that is located very close to my home, but it pales in comparison to this location. The online option is non-existent at the other store, and here in Clinton, they have it pretty streamlined. The app functions well to place the order and then check-in via my cell phone just before arrival to get the order started. I've only waited as much as 5-10 minutes between check-in and pick up. They've never messed up my order, and have always been friendly when I come in to pick up. When I ordered in the store this last visit, they again were very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I only waited less than 5 minutes to get my order filled and I was out the door. I haven't had the opportunity to eat within the store, but I wouldn't rule it out on a future visit. read more

Arrived @12:30. Drive thru wrapped around the building so we tried to go in. There were already 6 people standing in the lobby. Person at the counter was unbelievably slow and Didn't address a single person in the lobby. I stood at the counter for 20 minutes, with not a single word said to me, before walking out. seriously bad customer service. I gets it's busy this is no way to run a lobby. We went inside because the line at the drive-thru was long. We waited and waited - it took 42 MINUTES to get our food! We "checked on it" several times and they said they were working on it. We just had two combo meals. They were working on all of the door dash orders and not working on the customers in the lobby's orders. One girl apologized for the wait each time we went to the counter to see where we were "in-line." The restaurant was dirty - the tables and chairs didn't look like they had been cleaned all day. Go to the Wendy's in Syracuse if you have a Wendy's craving in this area. They do well. This one on 2000 West is understaffed and unable to give you what you order for some reason. It is frightening since my grandkids have food allergies and they gave me the burgers with everything on them-even though all of them were special order. It could have killed my one grandson who is severely allergic to the eggs in mayo. I know it is our responsibility with such a bad allergy and we teach him to protect himself. Luckily he spoke up as we were going to check his burger. Special orders shouldn't be ignored-sometimes it can be a food allergy. They offered for me to come back and get another order but at that point you are home and you want to eat together and not have all cold while you go get the right order you should have gotten the first time. I am not sure why most fast food places in the area can't get an order right-must be the culture here. I found this Wendy's significantly understaffed and with particularly poor service. I was the first customer in the lobby on a Saturday morning. Actually I had to call the restaurant because they were late opening their doors. The menu were still on lunch even know drive through had been open for 2.5 hrs. The garbages had dried ketchup on them. Condiment counter was sticky and dirty. I had to use the restroom while here. Toilets were dirty, garbages were full. Those should have all been emptied the night before. Lobby tables were not wiped down and there was food on the floor from the night before. Remember I was the first lobby customer. I know everyone is short staffed. But these things are closing items that should be taken care of each night. read more

We have gone to this wendys for years, and they used to be super fast and great. But the last couple of years had been frustrating. Wrong orders, slower slow, not the best service. BUT today was amazing! Their bacon fries are awesome, and the southwest chicken salad is a good as a nice sit- down restaurant's. I love it! Yikes. I literally spit out my burger. This is horrible, it was burnt, flat, and flavorless. I love wendy's but this shouldn't have that label on it. I only visit this location because it's closest to where I reside and I got a gift card for Christmas. I've decided I will never eat at a Wendy's location again. This particular one is ALWAYS slow, and has gotten my order wrong more than once. During my first encounter, they got my order wrong, and acted like I was stupid. They would say "are you SURE you didn't order the frosty and this meal?" And I told them multiple times that I did not. In the end he gave me the wrong order still after having to repeat myself about 20 times, and then They ended up giving me someone else's order alongside mine. I never have a good experience at this location. The teenagers working there were fooling around again, except for one girl will long light brown hair with a drive thru head set on. This was at like 8:45 pm on 9.3.21. We were missing fries, and our drinks had no ice so they were warm. I don't have ice at my house and if I refrigerate them, they'll be flat. The frosty's were basically melted. Nuggets were cold. I tried to call, but the phone just kept ringing. Pandemic or no, they weren't trying their best. I've bought food here before through drive up and its been fine. Tonight however, really stood out. 15 min in line at drive up before I got to order. Same guy took order that I've had before and he is a bit stale, but he does his job fine. Ordered a full salad and small frosty. I had a coupon which took a few min to enter into register. The frosty was over full so kept dripping down cup. I asked 3 times to have side of cup wiped. After 3rd time it was still dripping so I just took cup and wrapped it in some kleenex i had handy. When I got home my full salad was really a half salad. Sure glad I had a coupon and didnt pay full price! Super disappointed. Wonder if Thur is just a bad night to go there. This is the slowest place I have ever encountered in my life. I have been here 3 times and each time they are not using the order screen so I don't know if they got my order correct. When you try and ask for your order be customized they throw a stink. I went today and was in the drive thru for 15 minutes. I gave her my money then 3 minutes later she came to window and asked for money again. I told her I paid you and she handed my food out the window and said here then. No sauce for my nuggets and no straw for my drinks but got 2 random spoons for what ever reason. I don't think I will be back they are rude and slow. read more

Went to the drive thru placed order for 2 fries and 2 chicken sandwiches on our way home last night 12/22/18. Placed order around 9:50 pm or 9:55 pm, was not told there would be a long wait. Waited in line for 20 minuets because we were not sure what was going on and really did not want to go somewhere else and probably have to wait there too. When we got to the window we asked if the whole crew had quit on them (there was only 2 people that we could see), they said well kind of and laughed. The guy at the window then told us the total, took our card, then handed us our bag. I asked how long our food had been sitting there and neither one of them could give us an answer. A woman offered us a jr frosty for the inconvenience, no apology or did not offer to make fresh food, we declined and pulled away. Just before getting out of the parking lot we checked the order only to find out that the fries were very cold, rubbery, and old and the sandwiches were basically cold. This Wendy's is the filthiest Wendy's I've ever been in. As I walked in I decided to wash my hands. As I went to the restroom I was blasted with a wave of urine stench. This was at 11:00am. It appeared it hadnt been cleaned in months. The floor was really wet and the two guys before left wet foot prints out to the ordering counter. Terrible customer service Sunday I went to this location and spent just about $50. I ordered 2 kids meals, 7 s'awesome burgers, a daves burger, and a bbq burger. They gave us 5 bags including the kids meals. We didn't think to check then and went home. Got home 2 bags were just fries the 3rd bag only had 2 burgers in it. My mom went back to Wendy's and they didn't have our burgers that I spent $50 on so they made new ones and gave us a whole bunch of free frosty coupons. Got back home again and noticed there was only 1 toy in the kids meal that was annoying because we had toddlers but whatever. The new burgers they gave us were dave's juniors!!! Definitely not worth $50 and not big enough to feed the hungry guys I had to feed. I was mad tried to call them because I didn't want to drive back down. I wanted a refund because I did not get what I paid for. They didn't answer I got busy and just left it at that. Now today(Monday) I gave the toddlers the coupons for the free frosties and they went to redeem them at a different Wendy's closer to home and the coupons they gave us were EXPIRED!! I again tried to call this location 3 more times with no answer. I'm very upset and unable to go to this location today to get it sorted out in person. I've worked in customer service for 6 years and I expect good service but I understand there is times that other things can effect the service but what they did and how the manager handled this was upsetting. Absolutely the SLOWEST service of every Wendy's restaurant in the state. I've gone there, against my better judgement, five times in the last three months and have never even had the opportunity to order. Actually, I've tried MANY times in the past few YEARS and still never eaten there. With only ONE person in line ahead of me, it STILL takes four-five minutes to get that one done. They take that ONE order, then FILL that one order completely before even TAKING the next order. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Even though this store is very close to my home, I have and will drive the extra two miles down the road to the Syracuse store, which is a TON faster. They do not even deserve one star. The management is so unorganized and have no clue what they are doing. They have teens working there and when their shift is over, they will not let them go home. It can be 30 minutes to 2 hours later before they are allowed to leave. They are not asked to stay but told they can't leave. Tonight, they had 3 teens running the whole place after the manager left for a while. I am sure they are breaking labor laws and if I were you, I would not eat at a place with so many untrained staff members. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We will never come back to this location ever again after tonight. The young man who took our order commented on the fact that we ordered one of our burgers in a triple size by saying something to the effect of "A triple? Are you hungry?" Last I checked, Wendy's pays their employees to provide a service; not a disservice of giving unwarranted, judgemental remarks on what a customer orders. I called this location to let a manager know what happened and gave her the young man's name off my receipt. I wasn't after a free meal or anything like that and didn't even give her my name or check number. I simply wanted her to know that that was the kind of thing that all places lose business over and that they just lost our business. She was appreciative of me letting her know the situation. Solely aimed at Clinton location! I asked for spicy ceaser wrap the lady taking order acted like they didn't have one which was fine... I'm assuming tho the manager then got on she began to lecture me on how they don't do them it's been 3 years, told her I was here just last week and they made them for me!
