I haven't been back to this Wendy's in yearssss! I think I was just traumatized by the service and how bad the experience was. Like baked potato came with nothing but the potato. No chives and no sour cream.. nada. Anyways... So we had to pick up something at Best Buy, and ended up eating lunch here. Let me start by saying... thank you, whomever made the decision to renovate - the space is brighter, cleaner and nicer looking! Updated the way they manage the lines and the awesome coke machine (less sloppy all around!). Service was good, took the order, no issues. Paid. Waited about 5-7 mins for our food. Grabbed a table (a little dirty but we wiped it down). Now - burgers were good! Dave's single, Dave's double, juicy. Something about their patties, tastes better than others (MD & BK). The fries were crispy. The nuggets were ok (used to be better! Remember the dollar nuggets?!?), buffalo nuggets was ok, and my baked potato... came with everything. Chives, butter, sour cream and a spoon. lol. I'm easy to please. It's fast food so my expectations are not high, just want to get my food right. This Wendy's has a convenient location right off the Belt, and is an easy place to stop if you're shopping at the nearby Target, Kohl's, or Best Buy, or the BJ's down the road. There's a large seating area inside (and some space outside), a pickup window on the side, and shared parking in the lot, but considering their car-friendly location, I wish they had been designed with a real drive-thru lane too. I mostly come here for breakfast when doing order pickups at stores, and I've been a bit obsessed lately with their honey butter chicken biscuit. The biscuit is rich, buttery, and flaky, the chicken is fried just right, and I need to figure out how they make that maple honey butter so I can copy it at home. I mostly order on the app for the perks and the points, and pickup has been easy (except the time they apparently never got the order and had to look it up). This will definitely fall on deaf ears but the other day I waited around 10 minutes for my mobile order to be completed. I move to the counter after not hearing any alerts and the cashier asks what my order number was. I couldn't tell her because the app wasn't moving forward. The decide to make a new order but after a minute, the app revealed my order number because earlier it was trying to connect to wifi, so it just didn't work. I informed the cashier and she decides to look at the finished bags. Mine and my friends orders have been sitting there for awhile it turns out. He didn't have a problem with his app, so basically if we didn't ask, our orders would've just sat there quietly. There were no other patrons waiting for food by the way. Worst service imaginable. Large bodied manager refused to refund the full cost of the 10 pc nuggets they gave me with no sauce. Waited in line 15 minutes just to get some kind of sauce but nuggets were cold by then so asked for refund. Manager then gave me $4 cash refund instead of the $5+ he owed me. Brought it to his attention and he asked me to kick rocks. No clue why people go here since they take forever to serve you, never give you what you actually ordered and then take part of your refund when they mess up. Came in during lunch time, there's already a long line forming at the counter. Once I placed my order the wait time for my food was another ten minutes. The fountain area was kept clean and tidy, but the fountain drink tasted a bit off. My burger tasted good; cheesy and greasy, just the way I liked it. Be aware. Customer service is terrible. Most of the cashiers and managers appeared overwhelm, uncomfortable - afraid to look you in the eyes, very lost or unexperienced because every visit to this location always has encounter problems with my orders, missing items, receiving the wrong item or been over charge. This is my 3rd time I been back to this restaurant mainly because it is a convenient location next to the Highway. It appears there is a theft scheme going on with the cashiers and probably some managers because they overcharge me every time I use the application and this last time I demanded a full refund and instead the cashier just took cash and gave me a partial refund which I challenge immediately. I tried to explain to both the cashier and who represented themselves as a manager the overcharge to my credit card. The cashier removed herself to tend to other customers and the manager ignored me by saying everything is ok. The cashier decided to use another's customer app order and scan my discount and issue me the missing items taking it from the unaware customer. Seems very suspicious the not once but every time I visit the same issue appears and involves monetary issues in addition to terrible service. We were starving and this was nearby (we were going to Best Buy) on 11/8. We decided, why not have Wendy's as it's been awhile. They are always good for their 4for$4 deal. We decided to go inside rather than order at the window outside (long line and there wasn't much social distance). There was a long line inside too (confusing because there was a mobile order line and a regular order line) but no one was moving away (just standing there waiting for their orders) so we weren't sure we were on the right line or if they ordered already. While waiting on line to order, we decided to download the app and do mobile order so that it might be faster since there is a separate 'mobile order' line. However, the wait for the mobile order line was also long and it still took long to get the food. Also, it was unorganized so I think our order had some other items in it that wasn't our order.- Thanks for the free extra food? We ordered the 4for$4 and other items. Just your typical Wendy's. Not really any complaints here. Food was good. There was a bit of a wait but nothing shocking based on the amount of people in front of me on line. What's nice about this fast food joint was there was not anyone lurking around asking folks for change. This is the norm in most NYC fast food places. This location opens at 7am so i place an order through uber eats at like 7:10 and find it amazing how one of the first few orders of the day can be wrong. Ordered 3 large seasoned potatoes and some how wound up with 2 orders of fries. I am going to guess that being able to read an entire invoice properly and get it right is not a qualification. This is a very well run and maintained Wendy's. I have been here twice and both times was impressed with the staff and how clean they kept the restaurant which was mobbed on both visits. Wendy's is fast food but well made fast food. Special kudos to the manager whose name begins with the letter K. I forgot the rest of his name (sorry!) but he is tall and wears glasses! As I ate, I watched him manage his team with skill and professionalism while at the same time making time for his customers. Also special mention to Uzna who waited on me during my second visit and was both efficient and friendly (as was the person who helped me during my first visit but whose name I can not remember). It was impressive how they kept the ordering line moving but if you are planning on sitting outside, a better option might be to use their outside walkup/takeout window where the line looked much shorter! I come to this Wendy's all the time. I like that they have a walk up window but wish it also had a drive up window as well. Every time I come here, there is always a line, no matter what time of day or night. The lines always move quickly and the staff working is always very friendly and lots of smiling faces. The food is consistently hot and fresh, I have not had any issues with my order. Even with a fast turnover and quick service, the food is still right on point. Every time I have been inside, the floors are clean, the tables are clean, and of course, the bathroom is clean. I am a sucker for cleanliness in a place where I am getting my food. read more
