Wendy's has improved its image quite a bit in the last few years. Their food is obviously not gourmet but you will be sated if you need a quick meal. They've added some nice combinations and salads and of course drinks are of the free-pour mode. I've been coming here for couple years for quick meals and really have never been dismayed as with other Wendy's In different locations. They have, however, cut back on their freebie offers. Parking is always ample and restrooms are rather tidy. Their taco salad needs an asskicker salsa to bring it up to my standards. read more

Used drive-thru at about 1:50 pm today. After placing 2 combo orders, order-taker asked if I wanted to add a cookie for $0.99 but then went off and did something else. After finally coming back, she added on the cookie for $1.49. When I got our order I should have checked but we were in a bit of a hurry. Parked in a nearby lot. Guess what? No cookie! i decided to get the 4 for $4 meal. it came with 4 nuggets, fries, a small soda and a small burger ( you had your choice of about 6 different ones). i was there about 5 pm on a tuesday night and the seating area was empty but the drive thru was busy. it took a bit of time for someone to take my order - staff members were looking at me but no one acknowledged me. my food took just a few minutes to come out and everything was hot and fresh. is there anything better than fries fresh from the fryer. as you can tell from the picture i posted they really filled the container up with fries. a word of warning about all wendy's - check the calorie counts because some of the salads were more calories than a quarter lb cheeseburger! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My fiance and I went to grab a number 10 (10 piece nuggets meal) and a number 3 (the double baconater meal). Got none of it. Instead we got a plain cheeseburger and a 5 piece nugget meal, cold mind you. We paid for our originals meals too. Totally unprofessional and very annoyed that we had to go back on a very long line, because inside wasnt open and no one was picking up the phone. Here's a tip: Hire a better staff. One of the newer, modernized locations in NJ! A electronic fireplace was situated close by to the entrance. Several TVs were available here, that broadcasted the news. Speaking of TVs, they also had those that showed the menus at the ordering area. Comfortable seating was available throughout the place. The Coca Cola FreeStyle Machine was available too (more on that soon...). On a rare occasion, whenever we visit my grandmother in Brick, we would come here for lunch since she loves Wendy's. But this is the first time that we've dined here ever since this was modernized. We all ordered food and proceeded to sit by a window. My dad and I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. This was a spiced-up chicken breast patty topped off with mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. I added BBQ sauce for extra flavor. The sandwich itself was spicy, but not to the point when you're desperately begging for water. :P Overall, this was perfect. I ordered a small combo to go along with my sandwich. This consisted of a small-sized portion of fries and a small-sized cup for the Coca Cola FreeStyle Machine. The fries here are made from Russet potatoes, and sprinkled with sea salt. With ketchup for dipping, these fries were tasty. With any sized cup, you get free refills with the Coca Cola FreeStyle Machine. With the touchscreen, you press any soda type and syrup flavor you desire and simply fill your cup up. You can even make your favorite soda mixture too. Speaking of which, I made a mix of Vanilla Coke, Vanilla Sprite, Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper, and Vanilla Root Beer. I enjoyed that, but my dad's reaction after giving him a taste was priceless. So, would you dare to try that mix? :P Moving on, my mom ordered their Premium Cod Fillet Sandwich. This consisted of a cod fillet patty, coated with a crispy breading and topped off with tartar sauce and dill pickles. She enjoyed it. My grandma ordered the regular Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which was the non-spicy version of my sandwich without the tomatoes. She also ordered iced tea, and enjoyed everything. This location is situated on the corner of Jack Martin Blvd. and NJ-70 in the same parking lot as the Super Wal*Mart. We didn't encounter any issues during our experience. The maximum rating is given for this flawless experience. If my grandmother wants to come back here again when we're around, then that's what will happen. read more

I've been coming to this Wendy's for years now, since Wendy's tends to have (relatively) healthier options than other fast food joints, are typically quick, and taste more like real meat than mickey d's. About a week ago, this location was closed for renovations, and I finally stepped foot inside the newly remodeled store last night. Holy crap. To say the remodel is "nice" would be an understatement, this doesn't even feel like the same store anymore. If you were to blindfold me and drop me in the middle of the store, I'd of guessed it was some sort of new fast-casual restaurant, like if TGI Fridays / Ruby Tuesdays had an "express" version. Hell, it looks reminiscent of SmashBurger, only they don't charge $8 for an anemic "fancy" burger. Food is much the same - typical fast food fare. The burgers have always been decent, with my personal fave being the "Dave's hot and juicy". The chili is actually pretty good, and pairs well with a baked potato for a hearty yet healthy lunch, and there's always the Baconator for if you want to go the opposite route and clog every artery in your body (tasty, though!). Service here has always been stellar, with orders coming out quickly and hot. Is it a "5 star restaurant"? No, but for a fast food joint, this location is 5 stars all the way. read more

After a long day of work was excited to come get dinner with my boyfriend just something quick. The cashier didn't seem to know anything about anything even answers to simple questions like whether or not they have baked potatoes or honey. And his responses were ridiculous! It's super cute how they have the cookie display right up front so you can eye them as your placing your order, but the flies in the case circling all around the cookies were not so cute. Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse the entire soda station had even more flies. Absolutely disgusting! For such a well known company this is a disgrace! The food is as expected but the one star is directed towards the owner. He is known by the employees as very cheap and it shows. He rarely cooperates with Wendy's national promotions so his prices are usually higher than the advertised ones. I still say one thing about Wendy's; their new sea salt fries are THE best tasting fries I've eaten with one exception... Nathan's. McDonalds has finally met it's match. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. We have a problem EVERY TIME we come here. Our real problem is that we actually keep trying with this place. We ask for specific things that sometimes have to be paid for and will don't get it. We ask for things to be left off and it's like they put extra of it on. I mean really? This Wendy's is what you expect. Food: Good. Even late at night. Pretty much what you expect. Fries are usually good. Service: Average. Once again, the usual Wendy's service. No complaints, so I guess pretty good. Overall: No complaints here. It's your basic Wendy's. Nothing sticks out as bad or exceptional. I don't remember ever being disappointed. If you're at walmart, don't waste your time at the little McCafeteria inside. Go across the parking lot and get the better choice. read more

Went to Wendy's on Jack Martin Blvd to pick up lunch. Placed my order and went to the fixins bar to pour our sodas. Went back to the service counter and saw a bag sitting there. Another woman joined me. I asked the employee behind the counter if that was my bag. She looked at me, then looked away. I asked again if that was my order. She looked at me again, then looked away. " Is this my order? She started to turn away. "Ma'am? Then she turned to me. Said in a nasty way, " I called you twice! " I pulled out my hearing aids and showed her. " I'm sorry, I have hearing problems, ma'am, and couldn't hear you by the soda machine." With that the woman next to me exploded. Touched my arm and said, " Don't you apologize to her, SHE was wrong, not you!" The Wendy's woman justified ignoring me by saying " lots of people get on their cell and don't answer me." My hero then told her " that that might be a kid, not an adult. And some disabilities can't be seen. It's ignorance." No apology from the Wendy's woman. She disappeared. read more
