I'm severely disappointed after my last visit to the Wendy's on orchard. My youngest daughter's birthday is tomorrow and I took her to her favorite fast food place. She was absolutely devastated to have found out she did not get a toy in her kids meal. I remember the kids meals always having toys and was astonished to find out my lovely daughter did not get one. Left drive through no knife , spun around and asked where my knife was and never said anything like " my bad " or sorry Lol ! Work release ? Negative 1 star . Been here about twice this month. First time, I ordered with coupons. I got my order correct, but I was charged with the coupons. Granted, I was the one who didn't give them the coupons, but I did say I had coupons at the microphone. I came back a second time to use my coupons this time. This time, I did give them my coupons, but they missed one. I had to go back here to get my order rechecked and corrected. This Wendy's location is what you can expect from a fast food restaurant - cheap prices and decent food, but the only issue I have with this place is the communication and the service. Update: food was okay. We ordered the baconator, which was somewhat dry and had very little sauce, but okay. The baconator fry we ordered, however, was the missing item we had, and it was incomplete - rather, the two bacon pieces werent cut up, and just planted on the top. I get that staff might have been annoyed with me returning for my missing coupon item, but the two pieces of whole bacon atop my fries says a lot about the attitude of this place. read more

I'm shocked by the Yelp star review. It shows that bad experiences trump happy ones because people tend to be emotionally charged when upset enough to leave reviews. My emotional charge came from a Tuesday night need not to cook :). The food was yummy, as usual, but the love for my dogs always leaves me happy. It's fun to watch my fur baby excited to go to Wendy's :) It's love for animals, love for food, love for quick eats, and yummy food that keeps me going back. I don't know why but my meal slapped! Got the spicy chicken sandwich, fries were salted and hot. Chicken sandwich was very good. Got the Apple pecan salad and it was 10/10. What happened here, Wendy's on Orchard? This location "was" my favorite because the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and they always had my order correct in the drive through. Now- there are a number of problems. Regularly, their system is down and are unable to take orders (especially in the evening). Last time that i went inside, several tables and drink stations were unkept and sticky. Yesterday, i ordered an apple pecan salad and the blue cheese was bad. It smelled bad and the blue cheese had a green tint. This is inexcusable. The quality of service and cleanliness of this place has experienced a severe decline. I realize that staffing has been a challenge, but someone needs to, at minimum, make sure that the quality of food that they are serving is in good order. read more

I understand some businesses are doing the best they can during the pandemic but this specific location is just... They must have new hours now, which is fine but there should at least be a sign to inform customers so people aren't waiting there to order. We waited at the speaker for about 4 min until we just pulled up to the first window. The workers kept walking past, almost as if they were hiding? Until someone finally gestured they were closed. Generally I'm a fan of Wendy's, love their chicken sandwiches, so tonight I decided to try one of their salads. I got the southwest salad and it was ok, I feel like it needed some of those tortilla strips to top off the "southwest" feel. This location used to be fast, and a great fast food restaurant. Please understand that I have a different set of standards for a fast food place, so a great fast food place just means that it is tolerable. I used to grab lunch here a couple of times a week. The wraps and salads were really pretty good, and above all else they were fast. Even at noon you could get thru quick. There was typically a line but it moved. That was before the remodel. Since then it has steadily went down hill. Odd isn't it? Someone spends a bunch of money to improve the place and it gets worse. Today was indicative of my recent experiences. At 1:30 there was a line and it took about 6 mins just to place my order. Then the guy in front of me seems to be digging change out his passenger seat to pay for his food. Hey I've been there, but dig out you change before you get to the window. This I find irritating but can't hold against Wendy's. I finally get to the first window and the tells me that she will be right back. This is irritating and I can hold it against Wendy's. So I sit there for another three minutes, when I look over, here she is dumping the grease off of a tray of bacon. Mmmm really appetizing, okay well sort of it is bacon. Then she gone again, and I'm still sitting in the drive thru. When she finally comes back, I give her a $5 for my $1.75 grilled chicken wrap. She gives me 13 quarters back as my change. Really, she has time to drain the bacon fat but not to go get singles. This is after the guy in front of me paid for his lunch with seat crack change. How long has she been out of singles? Last week when it was there the same woman had to give me a dollars worth of quarters as part of my change. I really wish I was making this up. Is there a shortage of one dollar bills in the greater Aurora area? Finally, I get to the second window with my three dollars worth of quarters. I'm filled with hope that I'm finally going to get my food. I'm handed two rather large bags. This is another fact that I find odd, generally a grilled chicken wrap doesn't need two bags. It did occur to me that it would give me a place to put the quarters. As I handed the bags back I let the girl know that this was not my order. This seemed to set off a lot of confusion. After few more minutes my lost chicken wrap was found and I was on my way back to the office listing a bit to the left from the quarters. All of this in only 16 minutes. That was about four times longer than it took to eat the wrap. I finished that at the stop light trying to get back on Orchard. The sad part is, this is not really out of the ordinary. read more

What happen to this location after the remodel??? I used to always tell friends and co-workers about how insanely fast this locations drive-thru was. Pull up, pull out in 2 minutes or less consistantly. Then the remodel came. When it re-opened, the drive-thru is now consistantly the slowest ive ever seen. I work across the street and used to orser there all the time. now i never go because 10-15 minutes in line during non peak hours is pathetic. Must be a new staff since they remodeled. Such a shame. Yet another time ordering from them and product was missing from my bag when I got home, wasted money because they can't get things correct. I don't consider this fast food.....as your service is never fast here. Long line at the drive thru? Don't worry going inside will take you just as long also. The important details: This Wendy's is in a great location, it's a recently redone one so it's nice and new inside, ~and~ if you eat there you get to use their two Coke Freestyle machines which is always fun. The employees who work there are sort of run of the mill Wendy's employees but the managers there are supremely nice and quick to fix anything they get wrong. So, you know, normal fast food place. What makes this Wendy's noteworthy is they actually know how to make their sandwiches without a bun. This sounds simple, but if you're gluten free, low carb, ketosis dieting or whatever and avoiding bread you know how annoying it is to eat anywhere that isn't your own kitchen. When you order a sandwich here with no bun you get it in a plastic container and they do their best to make it a lettuce wrap with some huge pieces of lettuce on the top and bottom. I'm sure 1% of the people who read this Yelp page will even care about that, but if you live in a bun-free world, it's a really important detail. read more

This Wendy's is always so gross and dirty. Went to eat inside and could not finish eating because my husband pointed out the fly trap coming out of the ceiling. I went to use the restroom and there was no soap to wash your hands and no paper towels to dry your wet hands with no soap. The manager was yelling at the top of her lungs at the other employees about how slow the service was because it was taking them a long time to get the food out. As far as the food goes I've never noticed anything wrong with the food. It's always good. So if you can help it just go through the drive thru, it takes a while but you won't have to see the gross inside of the restaurant. read more

This location is horrible. They take 15 minutes plus to screw up your order. I can go to any other location without issues but this one fails 90% of the time. It is very clear that the owner and management do not care at all. I have given this location multiple opportunities to just make a simple meal and they fail repeatedly. As far as Wendy's go this location is one of the best I've been to. Not only is it clean, but they serve breakfast till 10:30a instead of saying that they serve breakfast till then and actually stopping at like 10am. Furthermore, it's location on Orchard road, makes it very convenient for me as it is close to both my work and to Starbucks, and its convenient for many others as it is located about a mile south of I-88. On my most recent trip to this Wendy's I had their breakfast for the first time in over 3 years and I have to say WOW! Their breakfast used to be greasy and fake like over at McDonalds, but these days they use real eggs and real cheese! It makes ALL the difference in the world! Also their home-style potatoes which at first I thought I wouldn't like turned out to be quite Yummy! Two thumbs up for Wendy's new breakfast menu! I also have to at least mention that their all day menu is still heads and tales above all the other similar fast food restaurants I've eaten at. Do not go here for lunch especially. I have never waited for less than 20 minutes in the drive thru or going inside. The staff is extremely slow and could care less about moving faster. No one smiles and they barely say hello or thank you. The drive thru is the worst setup for a drive thru I have ever seen. You go around the building twice to get through it, and that's assuming you can because sometimes it's so backed up that you can't get your car through the tiny opening in the road that's usually blocked by other drive thru patrons. Building needs a major overhaul to deal with the ridiculous parking and drive-thru situation. I have to say Wendy's is probably my first choice for very good food, but this location is beleaguered with problems. The drive-through is very, very slow. Going inside during any sort of busy time is 10 times worse. I made a simple order with a couple of special requests adding onions which did not happen and eliminating another item which caused them to eliminate all items making a chicken wrap completely plain! For the number of employees I saw when I came inside there is no reason for this number of problems. The people are nice, but so many issues... a) They are very slow. Glacial. No drive through should be this slow. I've heard that this issue has been elevated to corporate, but I have seen no changes. b) The food order is often incorrect. Perhaps this is because I tend to go at night and they may be understaffed. Either way, there are often errors. c) The fries are old, stale, reheated - something. They are not fresh and they are not good. I think this is a management issue. The staff deserves better. They always seem frazzled. read more

This place is unbelievably slow. I've gone here a few times due to my addiction to their chili. I never learn! It takes 10 minutes to finally reach the order board. It then takes what seems like years to pay and get my food. My last visit I timed the trip. It took 35 minutes from ordering my food to finally driving off with it. I tried to get around the long wait by parking and ordering inside. Nope. It actually made me never want to eat there again. There were tree employees working. All of them completely filthy. Shirts full of grease. It's understandable due to their work environment, but as a consumer it still turns me off to the food. There were smashed burgers on the floor behind the counter, fries laying everywhere and random trash they just simply walked over. I ordered and the wait began. Mind you, I was one of only three people in the lobby. I waited 25 minutes to get my chicken sandwich. Aggravating!! And the sad part? No matter how many complaints they get, their management doesn't give a damn. Hate this Wendy's. It's three minutes from my house but I've begun to drive to the one fifteen minutes away to just be able to get my food FAST. Thirty minute round trip but I STILL save five minutes. read more

Worst Wendy's I have ever been to. Given them quite a few opportunities and each time was the same. Never spent less then 20 minutes in the drive thru. They are extremely slow. Even heard someone being told by a MANAGER, "that's how it is here so you have to learn to be patient". Food is never hot. This Wendy's is always extremely slow. Everytime I go here, I have instantly regretted it. Today I went inside because the drive-through line was wrapped around the building. When I went inside and there was the typical fast food worker with a greasy face all sweaty working the register. He took my order and while taking my order sneeze into his hand then scratched his sweaty head underneath his hat then proceeded to hand me my drink cup while touching the rim of it. I asked him to give me a different cup that he had in touch with his sweaty sneezed on hand and he gave me attitude. When I got my food my salad was missing it's dressing, which I then asked for I had not been given any sauce for my nuggets and there was only three nuggets when there should've been four. Unfortunately I had already left when I realize this and I decided that I will never return to this Wendy's, or any Wendy's in t the future. read more
