All in all, food was good and hot. This was the best Wendy's experience I've had hands down in the entire USA and world so far (includes 8 other states and one other country). The staff was very courteous and quick. Would definitely come back. Pick up window (drive thru) was pretty quick and efficient. The employees all wore masks and appeared to take Covid precautions seriously. They forgot one item on my order (glad I checked) and was able to get it by going into the store with just the receipt, no other questions asked. They were very apologetic and got me my missing item with no problems in a timely manner. They gave plenty of condiments, napkins, and just enough ice in my drink. I used to be a FREQUENT customer here when I worked and lived down the road. I moved to the other side of the island and now, the only time I see Wendy's is on commercials. So, when the family was in the area, I jumped on the opportunity to go! Our visit happened on a Sunday night around 6:30. We decided to drive-thru because we just wanted to get home. There was no one in the drive-thru lane, so we pulled right up. The menu boards are very well lit, except for the Value section. Lucky it was still early enough we could see. A voice came over the speaker greeting us & ready to take our order. We ordered one 4 for $5 meal, #1 (quarter pound burger), and a salad. All under less than $20. We pulled up to the last window, paid, and got our food all under 1:30 minutes! These people got the system down! Now before you think that if they were that fast, then the food must not be too good. Let me tell you, the food was hot and delicious! My daughter scarfed down her bacon cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and fries within 5 minutes. Just went through the drive-thru, hadn't yet ordered anything; and the younger looking shift manager (I believe his name was Carl) working on the other end was ignoring what we were saying. He decided to rush us through the order and proceeded to give us the total for an order that wasn't correct or complete. Not sure why he decided to take out his anger with his job on the customers but thats not an effective way to run a business. Wendys is out here hiring kids and putting the unqualified, unprofessional, and undesirable ones in leadership positions. Great place for fast and friendly service! The kids love to go here for the 4 for $5 menu items. Dad likes that option too as there's many different items to choose from. I'm okay with going here as there's many salad options and the chili is good too. Learned a new discovery: order a medium combo...sub the drink for a frosty and then get s value drink. Comes out cheaper than getting a medium drink and a medium frosty...plus, you can always refill a small cup when dinning in. The employees like to monitor dinning in patrons due to free wifi. Poor service. I called to check if they had sweet tea and person said yes. Organic green tea sweetened with cane sugar. So we went there just for that and service was terrible. I HATE this Wendy's! I went to the drive-thru at 09:30 this morning. No service! I waited almost 4 minutes and no service! I was so frustrated that, luckily, no one was behind me, I backed out of the drive-thru lane and went to McDonalds instead. At least I can rely on McDonalds to always be there when I need them and to get the order right. I decided to give this Wendy's another chance and got two Harvest Chicken Salads and a large coke from the drive-thru. When I got down the road, I decided to check my order and realized that both salads weren't complete--no salad dressing, no walnuts, no utensils, and no napkins for both salads. All I can say is, "Monterey Ranch Crispy Chicken Sandwich." IDK how the bf does it, but he always manages to order the right things, to my liking... Hungry after a fun-filled night of bowling at Aiea Bowl, we turned to Wendy's. The bf ordered a chili and rice bowl and a Monterey Ranch Chicken Sandwich. The total came out to approximately $5, which was both surprising and exciting. (Our fast food totals usually come out to around $20, give or take $5.) Anyway, I love Wendy's chicken nuggets bc they are always crispy, not very oily, and never dry. They are so flavorful that I don't even need sauce! ..And this coming from the Queen of Sauces, wow, the chicken must be good. (I love extra of any and all sauces.) I've had the Wendy's chili many times before and I have to say, it's quite good. It's not just beans and sauce.. There's actually a lot of meat in there! The bf was blown away bc, in all honesty, it is pretty darned delicious (and cheap) for fast food chili. I guess he was expecting it to taste like bland spaghetti sauce... Haha. Well, he inhaled it and could not stop talking about how much he now loved Wendy's bc of it. Now on to the Monterey Ranch Chicken Sandwich. The chicken meat was so tender, it was like eating a Filet O Fish Sandwich from McDonald's. The zesty ranch sauce and Monterey Jack Cheese combo were a perfect match with the chicken. Ohhh, it was scrumptious. And the topper is that it's on the value menu. I'm giving this Wendy's 4 stars bc I am now a devout fan of this one. I think the service and presentation has definitely improved since the last time I've been here, which was maybe a year or so ago. This last experience of ours was excellent--quick, pleasant, and neat. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! I ate here sometime last year in 2013 and never ever went back. Reason being is because I ate there with a friend and I used their bathroom. I came out of the bathroom to wash my hands and the manager that I saw earlier when ordering my food, flushed the toilet, came out of the stall, did NOT wash her hands, looked in the mirror it fix her hair and walked right back out!!! It saddens me to make this review. This location has been consistently not well kept as observed now over three years nothing really has changed. The kitchen is very noisy made worse by the load compressor on the frosty machines. Today I noticed the person on fries adding more into the deep fat fryer after the batch had been dropped 30 seconds or more. Then the basket was so full some were not even in the oil. Our fries were soggy and limp. I just wonder if this Wendy's gets inspected by an area representative? Most of the tables were not wiped down and the floor has grim built up in most of the corners. Our visit today was about 1:45 in the afternoon. I really think that if this Wendy's would up its game many like me would appreciate it and patronize the location more often. read more

Thick and airy lettuce right in-between, keeping the bread and the beef at the perfect lengths apart. Not too close. Not too far. Juicy tomato. In the middle. Not the star of the show, but makes an appearance in every bite. : But ... the star of the show. That bacon. Mmm that bacon. So crisp. So wavy. So tasty. Yes, it's called a hamburger. Yes, traditionally, it's all about the beef. But not so here. Here, it's all about the bacon. : And last but not least, that mayonnaise. It's like the glue that holds it all together. It's the sauce that makes everything juicy again. It's the medium through which all the flavors flow through, bursting with every bite. Oh, and I had a spicy Caesar salad too. Was good. Wow, lady at drive told me the jr bacon cheeseburger is good... It was not! That good. I clearly explained to her that I only had 2 dollars... I love Wendy's normally, the one star review is to warn people that this location has serious poor-management issues. The menu is obviously the same as any other Wendy's and the quality of the food is usually pretty good. Most of the time, the staff members are very personable. But that's assuming you have a chance to order at all. In the last two months, I have attempted to eat at this location and just ended up leaving without ordering because some of the staff members are so poorly trained that they can't seem to process orders that aren't that difficult. The final straw was when I was only the second person in line and did not expect to wait very long. The woman in front of me proceeded to order some kind of "senior special" only she knew about but she kept saying she gets it all the time at the Kapolei location. The employee said she had to ask a manager about the special, which was reasonable. However, when the manager came to the front, she made a point of stating that she came from the Kapolei location and insisted on laying eyes on the person. Then she engaged him in a long "talk story" about Kapolei and other Kapolei customers. During this time, she could have been working on the transaction or letting the cashier help me, but she insisted on holding up the transaction in order to continue chit-chatting. I actually noted that they continued this way for 10 minutes and still hadn't completed that order, and since I walked out at that point I don't know how much longer it ultimately was. Since she was supposed to be the "manager" and yet exhibited such rude and unprofessional conduct, I guess there is no reason to expect any reasonable standard of service from this location. Although its usually more crowded, the service at the Pearl City location is usually much more efficient. Maybe that's why they are so much busier! read more

Since, there is not too many Wendy's on this island. Normally, I go to the one on Puuloa Road that's next to Cycle City or the one on Moanalua Road across Aiea Shopping Center during work time to buy lunch. Before, I used to order their Taco Salad all the time a very long, long time ago. Now, I usually order one of their healthy salads for a healthy lunch and every so often I buy one of their burger combo with french fries and a drink. Recently, they offered the $6 Biggie Deal which is a junior bacon cheeseburger, french fries, 4 piece chicken nuggets and a drink. That is a good price! At first, I thought it was only good enough for a chihuahua sized appetite. But, I was wrong and it was good enough for a bulldog sized appetite. It had enough food to make me feel satisfied after lunch time. Also, I was surprised and shocked that they used my food picture for their Yelp profile picture for now. I personally prefer Wendy's over other fast food burger places. Their value menu isn't as cheap as some of the other places but they have a Jr. bacon cheeseburger on the value menu that's good. Plus I like the fact that if you buy a combo meal you can choose from a baked potato, chili, side salad or french fries as your side at no additional cost. To bad they don't have onion rings here. For under $7 my wife and I had 2 Jr. bacon cheeseburgers, 1 crispy chicken sandwich, 1 small french fry, and 1 small drink (refillable). Burgers and sandwich was made fresh and fries were crispy. Wendy's is my first choice of drive thru fast food restaurants. However this location has got to be the worse! I would give them negative stars if I could. I expect that Wendy's drive thru normally takes longer than other fast food places, it something that I expect and know when I choose to go. The wait in drive thru was 20 minutes, a bit longer than what I normally experience. However once I got to the window no one acknowledge me or hand me my order for 5 minutes. It was 5 minutes since the drive thru was taking so long I was looking at the clock. When someone finally came to the window they handed me the bag that had been sitting there the whole 5 minutes I was waiting. Absolutely the WORST hamburger we have EVER eaten in our life. Wendy's has a current campaign featuring 3 specialty burgers. The mushroom & bacon/bbq sauce is what we tried. The dang burger is really 1/4 of the size shown on TV and the print adds in store. Burger is dry, shriveled like an old shoe with no taste. They do give you 3 nice slices of bacon, small & would equal 1 1/2 pieces. What a rip off!. Haven't been to Wendy's in awhile and was drawn in with the TV commercial. Talk about bait & switch. Stay away and save your money. Go to Burger King, Jack in the Box or McDonalds; at least their specialty burgers look like & taste like one. We will NEVER EVER eat at a Wendy's again! Recently went here through the drive thru. Had an odd moment at the speaker area while ordering my food. Seemed like they weren't giving me enough time to look through the menu as I haven't been to Wendy's for a while. I knew I wanted a Frosty so I got that first. Then I didn't know what else to order so I just a number 1 meal. I am so used to having the workers behind the speaker phone giving me time at other fast food joints especially Mcdo's. Overall I like Wendy's food. Burgers are pretty good. I like the Jr. Bacon Cheesburger. The classic original burgers are good too. The Frosty's are what makes Wendy's Wendy's though. Both chocolate and vanilla are the bomb. The location here is aight. The dine in store inside is pretty homey. The parking outside is very small and limited. It's easily and conveniently located right across the of Aiea Shopping center and right next to beside the Aiea Shopping plaza. Yelp 365 Challenge 2015 #36/365 Nothing to really complain about at this Wendy's, except for maybe the restroom not having paper towels to dry your hands on. I prefer this Wendy's location over the one near the airport just because of the types of people you might see here. For example, at the airport Wendy's, there's always one or two homeless people sitting inside the dining area. In my visits to the Aiea Wendy's, that has not happened (so far at least). As far as food quality, they're on the same level, one isn't necessarily better than the other, but I just would rather come to this location. I like the layout of seating for this location as well. You can either have seats directly in front of the cashier & kitchen, or sit in more private booths around the corner, away from people coming in and out. The cashiers I've had at this location are a little friendlier too, so that's always a plus. Wendy's food is a little more expensive than McDonald's or J-Box, but that's because the quality of their food is a little higher than those. On my last visit, I actually got a chicken sandwich, the Asiago one, and it was pretty good. Once in a while I like to get chicken sandwiches at a burger place for a change, just to see how it is; and I was not disappointed. Also, don't forget to check out their value menu too, before ordering. The prices have gone up on some items such as their 4 piece chicken nuggets, which used to be 99 cents, but now they're 1.29. If you're having some weird dilemma about which Wendy's to go to, then you should come to the Aiea Wendy's. read more
