It's Tuesday... With another great deal from T-Mobile which is a free Dave's Singe or Spicy Chicken Sandwich and all we had to do was order using the Wendy's app...a cool collaboration for us to order which was very easy. I decided on this Pearl City location near the Aloha Stadium since I was at a nearby area from an errand and is quite late in the night and though it'd be perfect for dinner since I didn't have anything else in mind. Parking is easy since it has its own private lot though was quite surprised to see basically no one in the dining room but seem that majority did chose to order in the drive thru which I didn't want to not knowing how I was supposed to pick up my order. After picking up my order I decided to take some pics first and chose an area in the dining room that was open as some area was closed off, it was nice and clean though the carpet did look quite warn and sad the staff there was nice and I enjoyed my sandwich along with some spicy chicken nuggets with ghost pepper ranch sauce that I just had to try was okay but did have a slight heat was different but wasn't my favorite at all, as for the sandwich I didn't find it spicy at all it came with lettuce and tomato with mayo was okay but my happy belly and thank you Wendy's for a generous deal. We had to running late and decided to stop by Aiea Wendy's located on Moanalua Road, lots of parking and pretty big seating area. The dining area was well kept, only thing someone was in the men's restroom before we arrived and stay in there even after we left, no one checks out the restrooms? On the floor were backpacks and bags. The food was okay I had the double bacon burger, French fries, chicken nuggets and an ice tea. The burger was okay and the French fries came out hot and crispy which was good, the chicken nuggets was good, My wife had the chicken sandwich, French fries, chicken nuggets and a soda, she enjoyed her meal and said they make the best chicken nuggets. I'll admit I'm not much into fast food and I haven't been to a Wendy's in years actually I can't remember when the last time I was at a Wendy's. I believe it was in Salt Lake City with my in-laws who loved their baked potatoes. Well the other day I was watching the basketball playoffs with my kids and caught a commercial for an Orange Creamsicle which peaked my interest enough to make me decide to try them. There's actually a Wendy's at the bottom of Aiea Heights Drive so after an uneventful morning of housework I thought hmmmm I'm driving down the hill and picking up lunch. Timing it perfectly to arrive at 5 minutes before 11:00 I was whoosed into the drive through, placed my order for a double burger, cheese fries and a large Orange Creamsicle. I was starving because dinner the night before was sushi and I didn't have breakfast. Before I left the drive through I stuck the straw in the cup and proceeded to collapse the straw....there's a reason they give you a spoon. Oh well, up the hill back to the house. First up, that burger was great....no ketchup, extra pickles & onions and not greasy. Yummy. Didn't care for those cheese fries, a glutinous mess at the bottom of the container but that Creamsicle...winners. I was so full I took an hour nap. I frequent this Wendy's location often, as I live down the road. I've never had a bad experience until today; sure the store is dirty, they don't always turn on the menu board at night, and the roof leaks... but I have always been able to pick up my order. Granted there was a "tsunami watch" going on, but that is no excuse for inattentive employees. I pulled into the parking lot and parked my car, as I normally do. Seeing as there were people in the store and in the parking lot, there was no reason to suspect they were closed. In fact, the app let me place an order, so for all intents and purposes, they were still open. After placing my order in the app, I went to the store entrance to go pick up my food. The door was locked, still no sign stating they are closed. The person who opened the door told me I needed to cancel my order in the app, which I tried to do and failed. The man outside suggested I try the drive through, so I did. The person on the radio said they are closed, and I tried again to explain that I wasn't able to cancel my order and just wanted a refund. The person did not respond. I reversed out of the drive through, parked my car, and went back to the door. Another person came to open the door and stated she was not an employee. An employee came and told me the same thing, that I needed to cancel my order in the app. I tried again to explain that was not an option. The employee told me she couldn't help me, closed the door in my face and locked it. I still have not gotten a refund or my food, I will be following up with corporate tomorrow. It's unfortunate that the service at Wendy's at Mapunapuna and Aiea have been subpar. On each occasion that I visited Wendy's recently, the staff and management have been unable to calculate my bill correctly while attempting to redeem my Halloween Boo coupons. Not only was I asked to come inside the restaurant by the drive thru attendant, but I had to wait at least 30 minutes for management to calculate my bill while my food sat on the counter getting cold and my frosty malts started melting. In addition, they could never get my order correct. They either prepared my burger order incorrectly or forgot to give me my drink. I would strongly recommend that Wendy's corporate office retrain their managers and staff to better serve their valued customers. read more

Free Cold Brew from T-Mobile Tuesdays and Wendy's... According to my T-Mobile Tuesdays app, I only had nine hours left to redeem the offer for a free small coffee or a Cold Brew from Wendy's... Hmmm... I'd better get going! I used my Yelp app and found the closest Wendy's was the location across from Aiea Shopping Center. It's a stand alone building in an odd place, but it worked for me! I easily parked for free and walked in. The place was empty except for a lone employee taking a break at a table near the restroom. The dining area is configured in an L-shape. The ordering counter faces the morning sun. I waited for help with the app. It wanted me to do a mobile order and I couldn't figure it out. The manager tried, too. She ended up just giving me the free Cold Brew... LOL! I also got a Bacon Cheese and Egg Croissant and decided to dine in. I was starving and this breakfast sandwich held me over until lunch! It was a nice experience with peppy music! A couple dined in, too, and sat on the other side of the restaurant, near the restroom. Thanks for the free Cold Brew, T-Mobile Tuesdays and Wendy's! I wrote a review for this location before, and gave it one star. This recent experience I encountered was even worse, so I wish I could make a no star review. Put in a mobile order, and went to the drive thru to pick it up. I got to the window, and the lady handed me someone else's order. I told her it wasn't my order and showed her the mobile order I placed on my phone. She said that my order just got picked up by someone with the same name as me. She also claimed that this person ordered the EXACT same thing as me. I insisted that she gave my order to the wrong person, but the lady kept arguing that the order already got picked up. How can you not believe me when I have the receipt right there on my phone? After some arguing, she finally remade my order, and I went on home. I get home, and...my mom's Cinnamon pull-apart was missing. Also, my bacon, egg and cheese biscuit had MAPLE SYRUP poured in between the sandwich. I've ordered that sandwich before, and never once had maple syrup on it. Like, why would you even do that? I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but it tasted so bad, I couldn't finish my sandwich. I'm pretty upset that I spent almost $30 for my order, and couldn't even eat my meal. The food and ambiance was consistent to Wendy's. The experience was weird. I went with my daughter and 3 grandchildren and spent about $40-$60. My granddaughter got a sandwich see didn't order and my daughter went back to the counter to inform the server. My daughter came back to the table with the server who proceeded to ask everyone at the table to open and show the sandwiches we were eating ( never had that experience before) she told my daughter she was sure the order was correct but did make the right sandwich. When I am craving a really good cheeseburger, like today, I like to go to this particular Wendy's. I usually go through the drive thru. It is very close and convenient to my home. I usually order a Dave's single with cheese, no onion, and I like to add bacon. It tastes very fresh, with lettuce, tomato, and crunchy pickles. It's also pretty saucy. They put mayo and ketchup on this burger. They are also very generous with the cheese. It not only comes with one slice of cheese on top of the square patty, but a second slice underneath the patty as well. The staff is very nice and friendly too! P.S. If you are looking for healthier options, their salads are really good too! They recently took off my favorite salad tho. I wish they would bring back the southwest avocado chicken salad! read more

Be sure to check your bags before leaving the drive thru. Make sure you got all you need. I ordered sour cream & chive baked potato (ordered an extra sour cream & 2 butters) - got just one butter and zero sour cream. Ordered chili - no spoon. Large drink - no straw. Fish sandwich extra tartar sauce - just a smear of sauce was given. My goodness. The attention to detail is non-existent as this happens a lot when I come through this location. I don't like giving bad reviews but this is frustrating. Guess I need to get into the habit of thoroughly checking the bags before leaving. Bought a 'small chili' with rice separate which incurred a higher cost- thought it wasn't more expensive in previous purchases. In any event, went home and opened the containers and was SHOCKED to see how little of each was given. I believe the $3.79 'chili with rice' cost went up to $4.39 for asking them to make rice separate. If I was to combine the 2 containers, it would have been a laughable chili/rice offering. Less than 1/2 of a 1 pint container- Rice is cheap- a full container of rice would have made the offering acceptable. Really disappointing experience. Will NOT be patronizing Wendy's in the future. Hubby, daughter and I came here for breakfast. Hubby preordered our food on his phone. There's dine in inside with tables spread out. The restrooms are in the back near the entrance/exit. Hubby got me a sausage, cheese, egg and bacon breakfast sandwich along with potato wedges and a medium coffee. I had to ask for three creamers and the sugar was near where the lids are and ketchup packets. I got two packets of Splenda. The sandwich was okay. The potato wedges were hot and crispy seasoned with pepper. You can see the black pepper on the skin. The coffee was hot and just okay. Food was just okay and the dining area looked clean. A few parking spots up front. I managed to park under a tree which provided shade. It was already getting warm outside. Went here on 07/01/22. Didn't think they'd be super busy since it was way past the lunch hr & not even close to dinner. Drive-thru line was out to the street so I circled the block a couple times & the line didn't even budge. In fact I saw the same truck at the speaker, what the heck?!? So I went home since I live close by. Got back about 2:45PM. Line had gone down & I was the 3rd car then waited & waited. Was probably about 5 minutes. Car in front is now at the speaker & he's waiting. Meanwhile a line behind me forms. After another 5 minutes, my turn. It was in a bigger cup than I expected. Their small size drink cup is actually a regular but bigger than a Starbucks grande cup. It wasn't as good as Starbucks but I still liked it. It tasted like fast food coffee with vanilla frosty in it. For dessert later, I got a Jr size strawberry frosty. Then when you call to speak to the Manager, they REFUSE to pick up the phone. They close at 12 midnight, and it's only 10:45 pm. I doubt that their restaurant is so busy that they can't pick up the phone. Tried calling 20 times and they hung up on me 20 times. I don't think there are any good Wendy's on the island, however, the Kapolei restaurant is a little better with their customer service. I'm so disgusted. when I called I spoke with the General Manager Dean, he had no compassion at all.
