All I can say is, this massage therapy is not for the weak! Very painful yet worth it. I had recently gotten into an incident causing a meniscus strain on my left knee. I haven't been able to walk smoothly and can barely bend my knee. She worked with my knee and got me walking again. I can finally play basketball and exercise again without feeling any discomfort. She politely declined saying she has an another client . Since I drove more than 1 hr 30 minutes I called her but she texted me to text back since she is with client . Wow Naomi is amazing! This is probably the most painful massage I've ever had, but in the BEST WAY possible. I've been experiencing chronic back/shoulder and neck pain and although I get massages relatively often it only seems to help for a few days before the pain restarts. This massage was different. It wasn't a smoothing, relaxing massage but rather one with a purpose--removing all the knots and relieving tension. And boy did it hurt! Like others have said, Naomi does not go easy on you--I was almost whimpering and in pain for a good portion of the session, but when I walked out I was already super sore but felt much lighter and relaxed. Additionally, she also added cupping therapy to my session which I'd never done before, but my shoulders/back felt better afterwards. Naomi pin pointed all the areas that were giving me trouble and was able identify areas that I didn't even know were causing me problems. I'm looking forward to seeing how my body responds to this type of trigger point release massage and cupping, rather than the typical Swedish/deep tissue. I will definitely be back once my body has time to recover from the massage. Also the process to make an appointment was super easy. Just text her and she responded very quickly and I was at her studio within 1/2 hour. Parking is easy too. I had my first massage with Naomi yesterday. It was such a uniquely wonderful experience (although very painful lol). I had been harboring so much tension in my muscles that they had become rock hard. Ive also had some major sciatica issues for years. Overall I was having trouble moving so I contacted her and her response time was very quick. She's very straight forward and very honest, which I appreciate. The therapeutic massage is meant to be a treatment. It is definitely not meant to be calming at that moment. The relaxation follows after when all your muscles have been loosened up. I just want to echo all of the previous reviews about this very special service. When I made the first appointment, I expected to get a relaxing massage to alleviate back, shoulder, and neck stiffness and pain I've been experiencing. Instead of relaxing, I went through pain worse than childbirth -- BUT, it was worth it. I was really sore the following day, but on the third day, I could feel the relief in my back, shoulders, and neck. Naomi does not hold back. She has some very strong hands and fingers, and she uses them to dig into muscles points that are rock hard and need release. I definitely recommend her. My advice, though, is to book it on a day that you know you can rest afterwards and the following day too. The next day should be all about rest and relaxing. Naomi is very knowledgeable with deep tissue massage and the cupping method. As a dentist, I have chronic neck and shoulder tightness from my job. When I first went to Naomi, she was running a bit late but because of how much she cares for each of her clients and really does an excellent job, she gave me an extra 20 minutes for the massage, no extra charge. At the first appointment, she did a comprehensive review of all my muscles and was able to quickly find the problem areas in my back and neck. Her massages are not for the faint of heart. She was able to get all the deep knots out of my muscles and used the cupping method to get all of the toxins out of my body. It's been three times since I've been to her for a deep tissue massage and she has really helped my neck, back, and shoulders. I have had chronic neck pain for several years. Have had physical therapy and many different massages all over the country. There is no other word to describe Naomi other than wizard. Before we even began, Naomi informed me she does not do ordinary deep tissue massages, so if that is what I was looking for, I would have to go elsewhere. She gave me fair warning that what I was in for was not for the faint of heart. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. But hear me out. I have an accumulation of messed upness from a mangled skeletal system which creates the perfect conditions for my muscles to mutiny. And they do. I was having a particularly difficult issue with a build up of badness in my right calf, to where it hurt just to walk. I did my usual sports stretches and foam rolled til there was no more foam to roll. Nothing seemed to help. So I decided after a quick google search, and lots of wonderful reviews, to go to Naomi. She poked and prodded to find the problem, and it wasn't even in the place my body was telling me it was. Within seconds she found out where the culprit was hiding and got to work. This is where the wizardry comes in. She was able to separate muscles I didn't even know I had and get underneath god knows what, to get to the knot that was giving me so much grief. I thought I was going to faint, the pain was so excruciating. But it was like magic. The pain was gone. Like GONE GONE. It's been over a month and has not come back. Not only that, but she began the arduous task of the rest of my body. Knots and bows buried so deep into my muscle tissues, that no other human I have paid, has even come close to touching, Naomi did.
