I stopped the program for about a year because I had a successful fertility treatment and had a baby. Once I felt ready to come back, I returned in July of 2021 to restart the program. My second time on the program I lost 30 lbs. The staff that I saw on a regular basis is Melissa, Maureen and Priscilla. I want to start off by saying they are wonderful individuals. They have always been very kind and considerate towards me. Often times I didn't have anyone to watch my infant son and they were very understanding towards me and allowed me to bring him into the office for my appointments. Some things to consider: 1) The hours. They are only open a few days a week with limited hours so you have to be really flexible with your hours to get an appointment. Luckily once you get a certain you are often able to keep that same time slot for awhile, but it doesn't always happen that way. 2) Communication. A) There have been times where I have had something come up with work or had a family emergency so I had to cancel my appointment. Even calling days before and leaving a message, asking for a call back and I don't receive one. 3) Processing Monthly Payments- This is supposed to be automatic and it never is. Every single month I literally had to chase someone down to make sure my payment is taken care of. Especially for how much I was paying for the "VIP" membership, you would think they'd have a streamlined system for those automatic payments. I was always told "it's our new system" but for how long can you blame the new system. The do switch their systems quite a bit too, which is a problem more on their IT side and not the office itself. Overall, I enjoyed my time at JumpStartMD. I wish there was a tele-health option for people who move out of the area. They said it's something they are hoping to get into. When they do, hopefully I can come back. Until then I am able to continue with the healthy habits that they helped me form.

I persevered for a month had bad digestive issues and only lost a pound a week 1/2 of which was muscle. Last appointment they recommended against giving me the Ozempic but offered no refund of the $75 I paid for it. They said the program wasn't working for me and suggested I try a personal trainer instead?? So now I am out $600 and only lost 3.5 pounds in a month. Plus I am left with digestive issues. I bought a package and planned out what I treatments I would get over the course of six months, and the front desk lost the plan...twice. Prescriptions were sent to the wrong address. I once emailed with a question about extending my plan and never heard back, only to be told *I* made the mistake not knowing that the person I emailed had left the company. (I was also told that there was no way for them to know that I had emailed and there's no system for forwarding emails sent to employees who have left, which is utter B.S.) Other times I've called and tried to get help on something basic, only to get a "we won't do that " from the front desk -- I had to go to management for something that should have been an immediate "sure," especially for someone who had shelled out thousands of dollars for a "membership." Front desk staff has also shamed me for not doing all of my treatments 1x/mo (my life was total chaos -- major move, death in the family, job upheaval) and basically said I'd compromised all of my treatments by not doing them once a month. (It seems to have gotten better, but for awhile, the attitude from the front desk was really, really bad. Distinctly unhelpful and borderline snarky.) Then there was the time I went for one treatment and only realized after they'd pulled the machine up that they'd pulled the wrong machine -- they hadn't looked at my treatment plan. Then once I had a really painful treatment, only to be told AFTER the fact that I should have been given the stronger numbing cream, not the weak numbing cream. (Why have two? Why not just give everyone the strong one?) And once when I got botox, I specifically asked that the injector do it the way the previous injector there had done it (I didn't want too much botox), but there were no records or notes on what had been done before, and the new injector shot me up with far more botox than I needed or wanted. So, fine for the treatments themselves, but the place is far from a well-oiled machine in terms of management. You have to be super on top of them and expect them to fail. You have to ask them to keep records and look up records. You have to ask them explicitly to tell you how to prepare for treatments -- they'll just space on telling you. I get the sense that even the women doing the treatments know that the front desk/admin is hopeless.

I wouldnt mind spending that kind of money on an elite doctor program where i would definitely get the kind of care I'd expect with spending that kind of money, unfortunately that is not what i received. My first let down-when I signed up for the hcg program I was under the impression that I would working directly with a doctor and he would be counseling me through this lifestyle change. Instead i mainly worked with angela. she was an awesome sweet girl but if im spending 1000 bucks i want to work with a doctor. there was no weigh in and no testing of body fat % which was my second let down. basically all your paying for is a little book with a basic description of the program and the daily hcg injections. but here is where i was screwed over and feel like i now really wasted my time and money. a week into the program i lost about 10 lbs and i was doing very well. i looked at my hcg injections and noticed that one of them was completely empty and i was missing another vile as well. i contacted angela immediately and notified her that i was going to run out of injectiion and she insited that it was "fine". long story short i missed to consecutive days of injections and gained the majority of my weight back.
