I have been searching half a year for a medspa and decided to give Essential Bella a try. It was honestly the best decision I've made to end the year! For the past year, I have struggled with trying to get rid of my acne scaring and improve the texture on my face. When going into Essential Bella, Evelyn greeted me with a warm smile and brought me to a private room. The room was clean, sterile, and well organized. She went over the procedure and made sure I was well informed before starting. First step was to numb my face, so she cleaned my face and then applied a numbing cream. I sat in that room comfortably for about 30 mins just scrolling on my phone while waiting for it to kick in. After that, Evelyn brought me to another room where she was going to start my procedure. She ended up doing extractions and then a chemical peel treatment. After that, she wipes it off and starts to microneedle. It was a smooth process and didn't really feel much. However, once the numbing cream wore off, I was really starting to feel it on one side of my face. It was only for the last two minutes. Afterwards, Evelyn put something cooling to help with the stinging sensation and handed me a small electric fan. The small fan felt so good, because my face felt like it was on fire! Once I was done, she told me some basic aftercare and shared the importance of using sunscreen 24hrs after the procedure. My face felt raw, tight, and on fire so had to use very gentle products after. 8hrs after my procedure, my face was pretty red, and I started to tolerate the pain. Later that evening I used a gentle face wash and cerave moisturizer. For the next few days, my skin started to peel and a lot of my texture had disappeared. Once it completely healed, my skin was glowy and my acne scars have lighted up. Just in time for Christmas eve festivities!! I look forward to my next micro-needle appointment with Evelyn! Hi, I'll begin with stating that almost 99% of the times I choose to ignore and move on and avoid writing reviews. However this is something related to their business practice that I would like to bring it to people's attention. If you're a first time customer, they will force you into putting your credit card by saying it will go in your wallet towards your next service. Somehow they know that even if people don't like them after the consult, they still have $50 taken. They are basically charging you for a consult which is nothing but a 5 minute appointment with the so called NP who doesn't even take a look at your skin. Please save yourself and go to a better place with people who will actually provide good service from the point of consultation, and not just charging you for money. read more

I have contemplated posting because I NEVER leave bad reviews. I never want to hurt someone's business but I'm honestly so disappointed with my results I would never want others to make the same mistake. I got 100 units of Botox all together, 60 of them in my Jaw for clenching/grinding and facial slimming. I also got Juvederm in my lips and asked Elizabeth to even out the sides of my lips, as most of my old filler went to the middle of my lip. The next day I was swollen beyond belief. Totally uneven and lumpy. I called Elizabeth and she said it was just swelling and would go down. She told me to wait two weeks. That time goes by and I am still an uneven mess. I went in and told her she needed to fix it. She continued telling me it was just swelling. I told her there was no way. She massages it out and made it look much more even, but not great. Last time I checked you can't massage out swelling. 7 weeks later and I don't know what she did with all that Botox. I'm still grinding my teeth (previously, at other places, this amount has been enough) and my jaw does not look much slimmer. Most of the filler is still in the middle of my lips. I do not think she is skilled and the customer service is below satisfactory. Do not go here. read more

This is by far one of the best locations I have ever found in the bay area!!! The staff is beyond kind and so incredibly friendly. I met them through a living social coupon about a year ago and have never gone anywhere else since then. They will bend over backwards to make sure that you're happy but at the same time will give you a fair and honest opinion. Elizabeth is there to help you, not just figure out the most expensive treatment or ideas to make money. It's difficult to find honest and good businesses like this these days. I have had Botox done with them as well as Dermapen, an incredible treatment that made my teenage acne scars pretty much disappear. She turned me down for a procedure I was considering because she thought an alternative with another location would be better. You're not gonna find honesty with people like that these days. I found Essential Bella through a Groupon and thought I'd give it a try. I've now had 3 microdermabrasion with Elizabeth and she is fantastic! She is very knowledgeable about her craft and is a nurse to boot. She does a great job at explaining the effects of everything and has a very gentle touch. Overall it was an ok experience. The decor is nice, but you can hear conversations in the front room while you're in the treatment room. Elizabeth is great. If I was giving a review strictly based on the facials I had I would give it a 5. She includes a lot of massage which is really unique from other spas. Why only 3 stars? Elizabeth's cell phone went off multiple times during each of my three visits. During my last visit she said it was due to "mommy duties" which I wouldn't mind, but this wasn't the first time it had happened. During my first visit, I could actually hear her texting back someone after her phone went off. Having her phone on ring/vibrate was really distracting, especially in an otherwise quiet setting.The last thing that made it pretty uncomfortable and not very relaxing was being interrupted. During both my second and third visit with her, people came in and out of the room while I was on the table. Once it was a child (I'm assuming her's but I don't know), and the other time it was another worker. Both times they asked her questions and she held a brief conversation with them, which was pretty distracting Elizabeth did a great job with my skincare and treatment, but the other factors took away from the overall experience. read more

My old med/spa closed about a year ago, and I have been searching for a new place to get facials and other treatments. I had bought a facial deal and microdermabrasion deals for Essential Bella. I knew as soon as I walked in the door, that I had finally found "my place". I love the office...full of positive energy and I just loved everything about it. When Elizabeth came out and introduced herself, I was immediately impressed with her gentle ways and that she is a registered nurse/esthetician. She gave me a GREAT fire and ice facial and the microdermabrasion. At one point my face felt like it was on "fire" and I thought that my sensitive skin had a bad reaction. Elizabeth was not concerned and continued on with the fire and ice facial. Soon came the "ice" part of the facial. I just loved the facial and microdermabrasion, and my skin was glowing...I felt 10 yrs young. I've a brown skin with little acne and looks a bit stressful too. After this facial I did find visible difference in my skin which now feels more fresh and soft. My nose and forehead were red for about two days afterwards so I was not that happy about that. Customer service was ok, The aesthetician didn't introduce herself until I asked for her name at the end of the procedure. But everyone was quite friendly otherwise.
