For the past year, I have struggled with trying to get rid of my acne scaring and improve the texture on my face. When going into Essential Bella, Evelyn greeted me with a warm smile and brought me to a private room. The room was clean, sterile, and well organized. She went over the procedure and made sure I was well informed before starting. First step was to numb my face, so she cleaned my face and then applied a numbing cream. I sat in that room comfortably for about 30 mins just scrolling on my phone while waiting for it to kick in. After that, Evelyn brought me to another room where she was going to start my procedure. She ended up doing extractions and then a chemical peel treatment. After that, she wipes it off and starts to microneedle. It was a smooth process and didn't really feel much. However, once the numbing cream wore off, I was really starting to feel it on one side of my face. It was only for the last two minutes. Afterwards, Evelyn put something cooling to help with the stinging sensation and handed me a small electric fan. The small fan felt so good, because my face felt like it was on fire! Once I was done, she told me some basic aftercare and shared the importance of using sunscreen 24hrs after the procedure. My face felt raw, tight, and on fire so had to use very gentle products after. 8hrs after my procedure, my face was pretty red, and I started to tolerate the pain. Later that evening I used a gentle face wash and cerave moisturizer. For the next few days, my skin started to peel and a lot of my texture had disappeared. Once it completely healed, my skin was glowy and my acne scars have lighted up. Just in time for Christmas eve festivities!! I look forward to my next micro-needle appointment with Evelyn! She's professional, informative, really kind, and has an amazing sense of humor. 10/10 recommend!!

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Service, Lack of Accountability, and Questionable Practices…read moreI'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Arrive Med Spa. I've been receiving Botox for years and typically need only 30-35 units for my face (forehead, eyes, etc.). I had 79 units banked at Arrive, and because they're closing for renovations in December, I was strongly encouraged to use all remaining units in one visit -- even though I expressed that I never need that much. Trusting their expertise, I went along with their recommendation. To my disappointment, all 79 units were injected, yet entire areas were completely missed, including the right side of my forehead and part of the left. The result was lopsided and underwhelming -- I still had visible forehead movement, which should not have been the case with that dosage. When I returned to have their mistake corrected, I was told I had to pay for half of the additional units needed to fix it. I ended up paying nearly $1,000 total -- for something that usually costs me $300-$400 -- and still had to cover part of the correction for an error I did not cause. I pleaded my case to Jackie, hoping for some accountability, but she wasn't convinced they had done anything wrong. I was told management reviewed it and stood by the decision that I should still pay for part of the follow-up. What's more concerning is that, unlike most reputable med spas, Arrive rarely shows you the product being used before injection. You never see the vial or how it's being prepared. At other places I've been, they always show the Botox label and draw it up in front of you -- a simple but important step that builds trust. At Arrive, that transparency is missing, and it left me wondering whether I even received authentic Botox. I trusted this business with my care and feel completely let down -- not just by the poor administration of the Botox, but by the lack of transparency and unwillingness to take responsibility for a clear mistake. I deeply regret pre-purchasing units, and I highly doubt I will return. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience. Be cautious. Ask to see the product. Question recommendations that deviate from your norm. And don't assume that pre-purchasing units guarantees a good experience -- in my case, it cost me more in money, trust, and time.

From my very first interaction with the practice, I was impressed by their commitment to exceptional patient care. Living outside of California, I met with Dr. Williams multiple times via telehealth to meticulously plan my surgery. He was consistently upbeat, realistic, and impressively knowledgeable. This was to be my third breast reconstruction revision with implants. Although my previous revision was not bad, achieving aesthetic perfection in breast reconstruction is nearly impossible, which makes the goal of improvement challenging. I also needed the internal pockets that hold the implants to be restructured so they would not flip over when I sleep on my side. The implant exchange surgery went smoothly, and I felt very well cared for there. It even smelled nice inside the surgical suite, located right next to the Tri Valley clinic. Even though I understood that everything went without a hitch, I made the hasty mistake of peeking underneath the bandages. This caused a moment of panic and ensuing distress. I'm embarrassed to share this because my professional expertise used to be treating people with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Nevertheless, in those weeks following the surgery, I experienced significant dysmorphia about my breasts...severe dysmorphia to be totally honest. I perceived my breasts as positioned too close together and saw distortion on one side. Dr. Williams met with me earlier than our scheduled follow-up to address my pressing concerns. During our meeting, he was exceptionally reassuring and informative, explaining that all my concerns would gradually resolve themselves. With his charisma, reassurance, and sincerity, the good doctor improved my perspective on the outcome. I felt very heard when I voiced my concerns. Once I was back home in Colorado, he personally called me to track my questionable mental health. Given how he handled my case, I find it fitting that Dr. Williams was the former president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the foremost authority on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery worldwide. He is a dynamic public speaker and a leading surgeon. Just like he claimed, each of my concerns were resolved. Once the swelling subsided, the breasts no longer looked too close together. They were perfectly placed and sat very well on my chest. The distortion on the side of my right breast...GONE. This outcome has actually surpassed my hopes and high expectations. Because of Dr. William's astute implant choice for me, the breasts move more like real breast tissue and generally look more natural than either of my previous reconstructive outcomes. They have great symmetry and are the perfect size for my frame. They even fit well in almost every bra I already own, so they're exactly the same size as my native breasts. I believe these new ones have exceptional aesthetic appeal thanks to the surgical precision, steady hands, and an artist's eye of Dr. Williams. I have minimally visible incision lines (see photo), a full range of motion in my upper body, and zero pain. The goal of better anchoring the implants inside tightened pockets was also achieved. It has been about four months since my surgery, and no implant flippage has occurred (and they have, shall we say, been utilized recreationally). One lover of mine remarked about my new breasts, "They belong in a museum". Though it has been great to hear such feedback, I think it is more important that I actually love them now. The decision to undergo the revision was so right. As you consider your options, Dr. Williams should stand out as a top choice for anyone seeking the highest-quality services at astonishingly reasonable prices, especially for the San Francisco Bay Area! You should not hesitate to book a consultation with him, who is so sought after for his stellar reputation. He is also an activist for the care of breast cancer patients. As the first Black surgeon to serve as president of the ASPS and continuing on with such tremendous excellence at TriValley, he is a history-maker in the field of plastic & reconstructive surgery.
