I had an absolutely amazing experience at this med spa for laser hair removal! The whole team is super knowledgeable but Dr. Christine personally took out the time to explain the entire laser hair removal process, what to expect during treatment, and the results I could realistically achieve. They answered all my questions patiently and made sure I felt completely comfortable before starting. The treatment itself was surprisingly quick and much more comfortable than I expected. Dr. Christine performed the treatment herself which speaks volumes about the level of care they put into their treatments and patients because usually it's a technician or nurse! After just a few sessions, I'm already seeing a huge reduction in hair growth, and my skin feels smoother than ever. What a waste of time shaving/waxing was. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! What a shame, this is a medical office not a car dealership. See photos for the Instagram ads and clinic communications. LuxMD advertised Botox for $13 per unit, but I later learned I was injected with Leytbo, a different product that was never disclosed up front. That is a classic bait-and-switch. I even returned for a touch-up before realizing what happened. When we questioned it, the clinic confirmed Leytbo was used and refused to make it right. Because of this, I have filed a formal complaint with the Medical Board of California. Patients deserve honesty about what is being injected into their bodies. I would not recommend this clinic. read more

Has great deals for first timers, but wasn't satisfied with my results. It was my first time doing lip fillers and as my lips healed I noticed it was uneven. I went back two separate times and my lips were still uneven with some migration of the filler as well. After the third time I just gave up with going back and will not go back for any other services. Also heard they lie to their clients regarding their tox special, instead of injecting Botox the provider will use dysport which is cheaper and doesn't last as long. read more

I visited LuxMD on August 14th after seeing their Instagram ad for Botox at $13 per unit. I paid for Botox, but without my knowledge they injected me with Letybo, a generic off-brand version that they actually advertise for only $3 per unit. Instead of being honest, they charged me the full Botox price. This was never disclosed to me at the time of treatment. I even returned on August 28th for a touch-up and was charged another $350, again under the impression I was receiving genuine Botox. Only later did I learn I had been misled. When I confronted the doctor, she admitted to using Letybo but refused to make it right. This is a blatant bait-and-switch -- advertise Botox, charge for Botox, but actually inject patients with a cheaper product. See attached photo confirming my appointments. Iwas honestly very disappointed with my experience here. The business advertises very cheap pricing to bring people in, but once you actually arrive, it quickly feels like they try to push completely different services for much higher prices. The cost suddenly became five times more expensive, and you could really feel the pressure to spend more money. I explained that it was far beyond my budget and even offered a cash payment option, but there was no flexibility at all. The esthetician herself, however, was very kind and professional. She genuinely tried to help and offered possible solutions, and I appreciated her effort very much. Had a great experience at Lux MD! I was treated with Botox to my forehead and center brow. My center brow is my target area. It had been a while since i had been treated and i wasn't happy with my results at first. After being educated by the staff on skin laxity, i quickly realized I'm at a stage that requires more units than I'm accustomed to. Her Sculptra technique is hands-down the best, although it was my first time, What I experienced was that she was upfront about helping me get a precise, natural-looking, and not overdone enhancement after I had suffered a really bad bout of Facial palsy that had left me with unbalance and synknesis in different areas of my face. Dr. Christine Rongey does such an amazing job with my Botox injections. I have seen a number of different providers, but Dr. Rongey is by far the best. She is very gentle and cautious. But she knows so much about the shape of the face and how to best place the Botox for the best effect. She helped me with my crows feet and light wrinkles on my forehead but the BEST part is her brow lift technique. I highly recommend going to see her as she does wonderful work. read more

I was looking for a new Botox place closer to home. This one seemed nice and was offering a promo. The experience gave me bad vibes from start to finish. But after messaging on instagram, I scheduled an appointment and had to reschedule due to illness. When I went in, the lobby was full of men laughing with the doctor which was fine but odd. The woman working at the front desk seemed embarrassed and finally put me in a room. Then the doctor came in and saw I was still on the iPad and went "I'll come back" but I was done about 30 seconds later. I could overhear her doing another appointment which also seemed off but I'm not a doctor so I will not comment on that. When she finally came in, she quickly got to the point that this wasn't a promo for Botox just "tox". I said that wasn't what I was looking for and wasn't offered any alternatives or consultation at all so I just left. Again the woman at the front desk seemed to care more about the misunderstanding than the doctor. It felt a little like a pretty woman moment and I wasn't worth her time since I was there for a deal. But big mistake, possibly huge because I was looking to consistent Botox and possibly lasers. read more

I got the best ever experience with Luxmd . One thing that really sets LuxMD Medspa apart is that you're actually seen and treated by a doctor, not just an RN. At other medspas, I often felt like I was just being rushed through with no real treatment plan. Went in for the Instagram special 40 units Botox and chemical peel. Don't get me wrong the Dr and the lady at the front desk were as sweet as can be. This review is for actual service not on their customer service. It was different forms of Botox that I got I believe letybo was one of them. I had to come back a second time to fix some issues I was having from the "tox". (Another customer was leaving upset yelling not ever to come back here again ) I took it with a grain of salt. Someone else was able to help with the corrections which I was happy with. After having a terrible experience for 2 weeks after my tox appt. Then I returned later for the "chemical peel " I felt nothing. She said it would be like a 5/10 for pain or irritation and I told her I literally felt nothing. No redness after no peeling absolutely no. Change at all it felt like she was just rubbing a wet cotton ball on my face. And there is no change whatsoever after.
