Rush Auto Sales - BILL FROM ANOTHER MECHANIC OF WORK NEEDED DONE FROM A TRUCK I PAYED 5,000 DOWN ON FROM RUSH AUTO

HORRIBLE experience from the first week of purchasing! I put almost 5,000 down on a truck from rush…read moreauto and first week of having it i had nothing but trouble starting with heat not working, horrible oil leak, power stearing leak, MISSING A AIR FILTER and MOST IMPORTANTLY A CONSTANT JERK THAT I MADE RUSH AUTO FULLY AWARE OF THE FIRST WEEK I HAD IT! I believe they pulled it straight from a auction without fixing ANYTHING before selling! I asked them was it ready to be sold because it still had a auction sticker on the windshield and they said yes! WISH I HAD TOOK IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC FIRST BEFORE DROPPING ALMOST 5,000 DOWN PAYMENT! They got There mechanic to fix the heat AND IT STILL DONT WORK PROPERLY! AND HE didn't do anything about the strange jerk, shift factor and said they didn't notice it when they had it. I tried getting ahold of them a few times in the past month about this jerk that they new of but no reply so i took it to a mechanic in the area and was told this truck has a blown head gasket and bad injectors causing the jerk and loss of power! After calling ruch auto back about this they said they WASN'T GOING TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE WE ARE ALMOST 3 MONTHS IN WITH THE TRUCK EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW THIS TRUCK HAD ISSUES GOING ON BECAUSE I MADE THEM FULLY AWARE OF THIS AND HAVE TEXT MESSAGES TO PROVE IT!! Now i have a estimate of over 5,000 to have it fixed!! Getting ready to file court proceedings to deal with this! BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM RUSH AUTO GET ANOTHER MECHANIC YOU TRUST TO LOOK AT IT FIRST!!! OR DONT BUY IT!

My experience: I had a 2023 Tacoma that I was in contact with Kevin about. I called to make sure the truck was a manual . He said it was and that he personally saw it. Kevin called back and left a vmail that is was a typo and it is an automatic. I called back and he said I could leave a deposit for the truck assuming they would honor the online price (32,985). Kevin said "Yes, we have to honor our online price and advised it would be higher $34k out the door. He said he would call back for the FaceTime required before the deposit. Kevin called back and said he was sorry but his manger Tim Lang took a deposit for it already. He was not able tot give a clear answer on a few things, but would reach out if it changed and said he was sorry as he "could hear the disappointment in my voice". Later that night the listing changed to 42,990. Had my friend call the next and see if it was available. Barbra advised my friend it was available and has had no deposits on it. They even sent him a video of the truck. If the price was wrong and needed to be adjusted, I get that. However, advising a customer that you will honor a price, then having a deposit taken be the reason it falls through, and going up on the price moments later, appears to be bad faith practices. I did reach out to the sales manager, Tim and the owner, Bill but have had no response.

What a bad experience!

I was told by the salesman that he would call when it was ready to be test drove. I got a call a few days later, I was told there was a sensor that was on and the head gasket cover was leaking and it would all be fixed and I could come test drive it in a few days. I went to finally test drive it and noticed a knocking on the right front tire side. The salesman said the mechanic would fix it. A strut i believe he said it was. The car drove great and was cosmetically well takin care of. The car is a 1997 maxima with 141,000 miles. $2500. I thought! I was getting a good car, with all the repairs they SAID they fixed. Boy was I wrong. I do understand that it is a gamble when you buy a used car! On the 10th day of having this car i was stranded at 9o'clock at night on a dark back road on my way home from work. The head gasket had leaked so much oil onto the alternator it went out. I called West Elm Motors and spoke with the salesman about the issue, I was told by the owner to bring it back. We got the car up there, they replaced the alternator (i paid $20 for it, they did me a favor ) and I was told by the salesman they would not do about else to the car. I'm the 30th day of having the car and noticing all the oil that has leaked on my driveway and the knocking back on the right side, I took it to my own mechanic. The strut and the head gasket cover were never fixed! Oil was leaking all over the alternator again and obviously, they just lubed up the strut. I would never recommend trusting this place!! If you are considering a car from West Elm Motors, PLEASE have a mechanic check it out first!! I learned the hard way!! Again, I understand it's a gamble with a used car, however I was told things were going to be fixed that were not! Very very disappointed!
