Cox Dealership, specifically Kevin was not honest and is a continuing reminder why people tend to distrust car salesmen. My experience: I had a 2023 Tacoma that I was in contact with Kevin about. I called to make sure the truck was a manual . He said it was and that he personally saw it. Kevin called back and left a vmail that is was a typo and it is an automatic. I called back and he said I could leave a deposit for the truck assuming they would honor the online price (32,985). Kevin said "Yes, we have to honor our online price and advised it would be higher $34k out the door. He said he would call back for the FaceTime required before the deposit. Kevin called back and said he was sorry but his manger Tim Lang took a deposit for it already. He was not able tot give a clear answer on a few things, but would reach out if it changed and said he was sorry as he "could hear the disappointment in my voice". Later that night the listing changed to 42,990. Had my friend call the next and see if it was available. Barbra advised my friend it was available and has had no deposits on it. They even sent him a video of the truck. If the price was wrong and needed to be adjusted, I get that. However, advising a customer that you will honor a price, then having a deposit taken be the reason it falls through, and going up on the price moments later, appears to be bad faith practices. I did reach out to the sales manager, Tim and the owner, Bill but have had no response. read more

took my truck in exchange for oil and the waiting time was two hours when I was in the waiting room, I looked at two men, I imagined they were mechanics and I thought, hopefully, I would not drive my truck, one of these, and so it was my steering wheel full of grease, the door panel completely muddied with oil, if you have a people working on customer cars, provide them with clean clothes to avoid these incidents, I left in a hurry for an appointment that I had, by the way, lost because of its delay. This service department was THE BEST BLESSING WE COULD HAVE ASKED FOR! Our 5th wheel RV broke a strut while driving on the interstate. We pulled into their parking lot about 4 pm on a Thursday. Every man we met was delightful and knowledgeable, even though they they do not normally work on 5th wheels. ( they do work on other trailers). Steve was the expert trailer-backer-upper in a crowded parking lot. Smutty was our amazing mechanic who put it back together BETTER THAN IT WAS BEFORE! Ashley found the right guys tho get it done, and Brandon found the parts and even was able to find a coupon that made the price $ 200.00 less than we were originally told. Manipulative slimy sales team that is extremely aggressive. Mostly all dealerships use the same tactics but it's a complete turnoff. The sales man's pitch started off acknowledging how all car salesmen are but how he was different. But sure enough his true colors showed once he realized I couldn't be strong armed and manipulated into their over priced car. Their car car was roughly $4k more expensive than another dealership in Raleigh Durham.One of the worst car buying experiences I've ever had. If you somehow can get out the door without being manipulated into buying an overpriced car you then get harassed to the point of needing to change your phone number. read more

GO ELSEWHERE, Had to replace transmission on car after driving only 35-40 miles, because Cox Technician failed to put transmission fluid after replacing gasket. Had to replace the complete transmission system out of my own pocket. Took vehicle to a different transmission shop, who informed me that the system was completely Dry. Cox service advisor told me that they took no responsibility for any botched repair work that they perform. So I implore you to go somewhere else. read more

If you can buy or take your vehicle anywhere else, then do so. We HAD to take our Chrysler to a dealership. The internet said the cost would be less than $300. They charged us $1300. Claimed other issues just to jack up the price. Our local mechanic also said the price would be less than $500. They are the only local Chrysler dealership. I will drive the extra miles from now on. Took our 2011 RAM 1500 in for service due to ABS light staying on. The dealership ended up keeping our truck SEVEN weeks. RAM has discontinued the ABS module that we needed and the dealership attempted to replace the defective one with reconditioned units, but was unable to do so due to their inability to clear old VIN numbers (from the reconditioned units). Finally, after keeping our truck for over a month, a technician in their shop overheard the Service Advisor talking about our truck and indicated that he knew how to remedy the problem by reconfiguring the original ABS module. We were informed by our Service Advisor that they would attempt to repair our truck once again. However, we when didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks, we decided to drive by the dealership and quickly realized our truck was still parked in the same space and had not been moved. We contaced the Service Advisor and were told the truck had been ready for two weeks, but they were still trying to reconcile the return of a part with a third party vendor. This had nothing to do with us, and at that point, I was tired of dealing with Cox Dodge RAM Jeep and went to the dealership to pick up my truck. The dealership charged me over $2,000, with $1,170 of it being four separate diagnostic charges (all 341 CD). The first diagnostic fee was $39.95, the second was $449.98, the third and fourth fees were $359.98 each. I feel we were overcharged and, at best, there should have been only two diagnostic charges, and the other two were due to the incompetence of the dealership's Service Department. read more

Won't be back!! Bought a used 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn in October 2022. Made my first appointment for service on line on April 11th for today April 14tn at 9AM. I live 33 miles from the dealership and takes 45 mins to get there in traffic, but had a good experience with the sales department when i traded. Now to the issue I arrived early stood and around approximately 10 mins before anyone acknowledged me as being there. Told the youngman that checked me in i was there for a oil change, tire rotation and i popping sound in the front right of my vehicle. I further told him that I had included that information on my appointment scheduled on 4/11/23. I also told him that I had a front end leveling kit installed and a couple weeks after it was installed it started to pop, so I took it back to installer who checked and advised it was the bolt on my right front strut. He tightened the bolt and it was good for another couple weeks, but started back. The service advisor they would check it. Forty-five minutes later i was called by another service advisor my vehicle was ready, I asked him about my popping sound in front. He asked if iIhad advised anyone about it told him i put it on the appointment when I scheduled my appointment. He advised me i would have to make another appointment that they were the express lane and that someone would need to ride alone with me to hear nosie. Told him I wanted someone to check it today. We walked across the sally port and he told a older man that I wanted a popping noise checked on the truck. FIRST thing out his mouth he will need to leave it or make an appointment and then leave it with us at least a day and maybe a day and a half. I then repeated to him what I had told the other two service advisors and he didn't care refused to have anyone to ride today. So I drove 45 minutes to get an oil change and was refused help on my truck which is one bolt issue, to which we won't know for sure because I was refused help, he said I would need to leave my truck and all loaner vehicle are out, REALLY. Told them I would find someone that wants to help me and I won't be back to " COX CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM ", AGAIN. I reached out to my salesman and told him what had happened here is his response: Phone calls don't work out here in the boondocks. I got your voicemail. I know that service has been extremely busy lately. Express is only for certain services. It soulds like what you need is outside of those services. As for a loaner. Thats done by my department. And, I can tell you that every available unit in our fleet is adrleady out. I'm sorry taht you had a bad first experience. It really is just a request versus timing thing. Well so much for the service after the sale. Salesman got his commission back in October of 2022, so hes finished with me. I read a review that had 5 stars for the service depatment, it was from a traveler on the interstate that had an issue on their travel trailer and was treaded with white gloves by everyone they met with in the service department. Now, don't get me wrong i've been in the travelers position and i'm happy the dealership stepped up and helped the people. However I bought a $60,000 used truck from them and drove 45 inutes from my home to give them the business and no one I mean no one gave me any such treatment. So no I don't recommend the dealership to purchase a vehicle from or their service department, they won't go out of their way to help a customer!!!! read more

I stopped by to purchase a vehicle. I knew exactly what make/model I wanted, had money in hand for a smooth purchase. Not a soul wearing masks, a lot of staff standing around, and several of them staring at us like we had 3 heads for wearing our masks. The vehicle I wanted to purchase had a build up of moisture inside the headlight fixture. When I asked if they would fix it before purchase, I was told that the vehicle is sold "as is". Overall, not a pleasant "customer service" experience. Worst purchasing experience I have ever had! Salesman Brian blatantly lied about the process from beginning to end. The finance mangers were rude and manipulative; tried to low ball me knowing the whole time they were taking advantage of me. Then after the deal was done and he got his commision, Brian became very disrespectful, rude and arrogant. There was never any communication about anything. I had to repeatedly week after week contact them about everything regarding every part of the deal and got passed from one person to the next. Was yelled at over the phone, hung up on, etc. I see why this dealership has low reviews and is always empty. read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ANTHONY! I took my car in on 9am Wednesday morning. Anthony tells me that they are backed up and he may not be able to get it in that day but if not they can get it in the next day to diagnose it and call me to let me know what the issue is. So I wait ALL DAY on Thursday for a call and I didn't get one. So I call on Friday morning to follow up. He says the car hasn't even been in for diagnosis yet and they still may not get it in until Friday. He then denies telling me they'd have it in by Thursday and insists he never said that. I understand that they are backed up but THE VERY LEAST he could do was acknowledge that information was incorrect and he COULD HAVE AT LEAST called me on Thursday to let me know it would take longer. His lack of accountability is off-putting. Instead of apologizing he continued to deny what he initially told me. I've done business with them for years but I will never leave my car with Anthony again as he has proven himself to be untrustworthy, and undependable. read more
