Wow, these guys are true professionals. We recently purchased an old home that passed inspection…read more We had Ben Grano come in based on a referral from a friend for an estimate on concrete work. He immediately noted issues in the basement that the previous owner covered up with lots of Drylock paint that were not caught by the home inspector. He recommended replacing some columns under the main beam as well as adding in three pilaster columns to support the main beam and the walls after he noted cracking in the concrete blocks. We also decided to do a french drain at the same time. Ben gave us a written estimate that was incredibly detailed and easy to understand. On the first day of the job, Gene Grano arrived with the crew and emptied our basement before setting up, covering anything left there and laying down plywood in our driveway and on the grass. Once the crew started breaking the floor near the walls, they found that our home had no footing and the walls were built right on top of the dirt. The central columns were also laying on top of the floor with no footings. Ben and Gene explained everything to us and went over options. We were very upset about the situation but they reassured us and went over the game plan. The crew was awesome. They worked nonstop Monday through Saturday and were very polite and professional. The entire job was complete in just under three weeks and we are incredibly happy with the outcome and we know that the job was done right and our home will be safe and secure for years to come. Every part of the job was explained and shown to us. The crew did a great job cleaning up every day. We could not be more happy with Mario Grano And Sons LLC and are happy to refer them to anyone. His crew is very punctual, on time every morning, and clean the work area every evening to make it safe to walk on or across while the cement cures. We needed our whole front porch replaced due to it sinking and separating from the house. We had them install a nice size patio and sidewalk, pitched away from house, to keep the ground water away from foundation. While they were at it, we had them redirect our gutter downspouts directly to the street. Will be calling them back for a driveway update soon.

Patrick and his crew did a great job on our wood floors! We bought an old Victorian home (built…read morecirca 1895-1905) with original pine wood floors underneath the carpet. My husband and I removed the carpet ourselves and then brought in some flooring professionals to take a look and give us a quote for refinishing the wood underneath. The boards are top nailed and a couple areas had damaged boards needing repair. Other flooring companies we got quotes from told us the job would be extremely difficult and did not inspire confidence. From the start Patrick was very knowledgeable and reassuring that his team would be able to refinish and restore our beautiful floors without a problem! We had all the rooms sanded and stained, minus one room that needed a new floor laid over top due to a 4' x 6' cut out in the middle of the floor - (why! Lol) - but they blended the new oak floor in the one bedroom very nicely with the pine in the rest of the house. I was worried it might look out of place but you hardly notice it! They also replaced our stair treads on the front stairs, and sanded and finished the treads on our back stairs. They did a phenomenal job and I will be calling them for any future flooring needs! 10/10 highly recommend selecta flooring!!!

After we got our items, we confirmed the start date. Stephen and Michael arrived promptly on the day work was scheduled to begin and demoed the bathroom. They arrived every morning at the same time and worked a full day and I'm not sure they even took breaks. They completely cleaned up at the end of each day and sectioned off the work area to minimize the dust throughout the house. We needed a structural engineering evaluation and had recommendations for two companies. Scheduling was not a smooth process, however, and more than a week after they were contacted, we still had not been given an appointment. We contacted Nick at Colonna Consulting and easily scheduled a date for the assessment. We were also finally given a date by the first company, which was one day earlier than Nick's schedule. Their contract stated that reports were usually ready in 2-3 days, but that this was not guaranteed. Nick told us we could have a report the same day and that he would work on the architectural drawing over the weekend (appointment was on a Friday afternoon) if we needed one. We are very happy that we decided to go with Colonna Consulting. Nick arrived on time for our appointment. He was very professional and spent more time than we expected explaining what he found and the appropriate remedy. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. We did need an architectural drawing, which was completed over the weekend and sent by email on Monday. He sent the original directly to our contractor for submission with the permit application. I recommend Colonna Consulting without any reservation.
