I've bought knotty cedar (only 1 i had delivered and a few issues with coordinating, but ultimately got the lumber i needed) wormy maple, black walnut and cherry in varying lengths over the years. Again though, it was usually only a few pieces of lumber and I knew what I wanted ahead of time. To alleviate issues with service, you need to have an idea of the wood you are looking for, pick out the pieces you want. Once you have them, you have to be assertive and grab a guy on the floor to write you a ticket to pay at the window. If I didn't know about lumber or was a customer who didn't know what they wanted, not sure I would go there because it is chaotic, overwhelming and the associates don't seem to helpful.

We enjoyed every minute of this process and that's very rare when it comes to huge projects that can be filled with doubts and uncertainty. Tomas and his crew showed up everyday, even after a huge snowstorm and began working on our dream deck. Every measurement and cut is precise and the attention to details really can be felt throughout our new outdoor living space. Any new ideas or concerns were always met with a smile from Tomas and reassurance that this is going to be a beautiful deck. They were right. From the lighted stairs to the deck illuminating at night it's a picturesque sight. Thank you for making our home even more beautiful and treating our home with care during this process.

It was greatly helpful that they came to the house for a consultation first so that I understood that our double vanity install would require moving the plumbing and could adjust budget expectations before committing. On install day, the crew took really great care getting the heavy double vanity upstairs and Paul handled multiple unforeseen complications while communicated them with me. Thank you!! His workers speak very highly of him and he shows up in the beginning to make sure the job is started properly. My schedule was tight and he did everything to accommodate me sending his guys on a Saturday and they stayed late too! My issue is 90% of everything ended up needing to be repaired afterwards... things were put on wrong /backwards (shower door), messed up my bathroom door where it wouldn't close anymore, did a job with tiles in bathroom and made a decision without consulting with me and I hated the results and told him so I'm stuck with it unless I pay to have it redone. Getting in touch with him and to return was challenging. I was told they would start on a certain date to fix the mistakes.... This is after months and renegotiating when they could come. The reason my ratings aren't lower is because Paulie did send his men to fix the issues (I sent pictures that were undeniable that the work was not up to standards). I decided to push for a week day (which he told me numerous of times it was easier to schedule). 2 men showed up and did a GREAT JOB in fixing the previous issues. So I say do not get work done on the weekends.... It was stressful, they also turned off my dryer or heater without telling me... of course my not knowing I thought it was broken.... The list goes on.... Luckily Paulie caught it when I complained my dryer suddenly stopped working (not realizing his men caused this!)....

We knew we wanted Trex. At first we had George work out a 50/50 project to quote. My wife and I liked George right off of the bat. Great guy and knows his stuff. His price was right in line with the others. His knowledge and pictures of previous work, sold us. Once the deck was underway, George made some suggestions. Yes, it was more money and yes, I started to get overwhelmed with cost. That was one me, not George. His price was more than fair. So, at one point, we decided to go "all in" with Trex and lights and nice railings..... George's team was awesome. They were efficient and clean. There was never garbage strewn around our yard. The entire project took a week and the end result was WAY beyond what we originally hoped for. An added bonus was the way George built the support for the decking. Our town inspector put it best.... "The support for this deck is beyond code." When we started planning, there weren't a lot of reviews for Deck Experts which worried me. I wanted to make sure to publish a review for anyone with doubts. I would recommend George and his crew to anyone looking for a deck build or redo. You will have zero regrets and as a salesman, George is informative not pushy. Trust his design and his finished work. You'll be more than pleased with the end result.
