We were concerned specifically with a grated drain that is directly under our deck that infamously would get clogged with leaves and cause major rainwater back-up, and Nick created a seamless design that we could get to the drain to clean it occasionally without crawling under the deck anymore! Andre is a very nice person but he is very sloppy and when the deck was finally completely there were multiple floor boards sticking up, screws everywhere, and parts of the railing that were very disjointed and choppy. He also has a tendency to leave the job site in complete chaos at the end of the workday, which lead to numerous complaints from our neighbors and me personally having to organize the materials on almost a nightly basis. Pros: He's very easy to work with and talk to and has some good ideas. His rates are reasonable. Very helpful in drafting drawings and layouts. Negatives: He works alone for the most part. The deck that he completed for us ended up being a 14*12 size deck, which was supposed to have 3-4 workers. (Which is what he committed to me when, we originally reviewed the project. 90% of the time it was only himself, which lead to a much longer project timeline.) The deck was also supposed to be completed in 2 days and took nearly 3.5 weeks. Overall, if you work with Andre, he may be more comfortable with smaller projects, but for larger projects, I would encourage you to do your homework beyond the price of labor.

They followed our kinda-persnickety patio design to the inch, laying 2'x2' pavers down in precise rows, separated by cement-supported bands of artificial turf - at an exact 1.5" pitch so that rainfall is carried away from the house. The surface is flat as a lake and looks fantastic. The Dawn crew moved tons of dirt from the old built-in planters and the grading process out and 90-pound pavers and hundreds of pounds of sand and cement in THROUGH our 2nd-floor apartment without any damage or major disruption to our daily routine. They cleaned up nightly like clockwork and were fully done in just 5 days. Zeeshan and his crew were unfailingly professional and responsive - and all just super-nice guys.
