Most of their treats and sandwiches looked too heavy to eat while I was still a little dehydrated, but fortunately they had just one chocolate chip cookie left. I ordered it, and devoured it. It takes time to get the food, not a terribly long time but you do have to wait. Everything is housemade to order and well worth it. Exceptional European breads, cakes, croissants, soups, sandwiches, and a whole lot more. I had the breakfast croissant with ham and it was amazeballs! It had pesto as well, yum. The croissant was soft, buttery, and flaky but strong enough to hold a sandwich together. My boyfriend had a chipotle brekkie sandwich on ciabatta bread with eggs, turkey bacon, etc. It was equally as delicious as my sandwich. We also grabbed a couple of Belgian chocolate croissants for home. Ah, to have the flavors of Belgium and Europe in Texas is a true delight. The decor is shabby chic inside and out and I'm here for it. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee counter where you can get excellent lattes and other coffee drinks. I didn't feel those comments were necessary--they made me feel dismissed rather than understood. She also stated there had been a long line ahead of us, which wasn't accurate. When I arrived at 9:13, there was only one customer finishing her order at the register. I finally received my food at approximately 9:38 a.m. While I understand that fresh food takes time, a 25-minute wait for two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, especially with no proactive communication, felt excessive. A simple acknowledgment of the delay or a more empathetic response would have made a significant difference. Instead, I left feeling that my concerns were brushed aside.
