Chef Casey is the most amazing human. She welcomes you for a grand tasting to get the celebration kicked off, and you get to pick from all the most amazing flavors. She really worked with us and our budget, listening attentively. She went above and beyond, and always had a opened ear for me to talk about my wedding planning stress. The day of, she was a ray of sunshine, like always. She baked our wedding cakes, as well as pastries for our rehearsal dinner, and everybody really loved it. Casey was an amazing baker to work with. She only takes on 2 cakes per weekend so she is really invested in her cakes and clients. For our tasting, we went out to her house and she made us like 14 different flavors to taste from. They were all delicious! If you are choosing a cake based on flavor alone, Casey's cakes will win HANDS DOWN. I even went to our venue's open houses to get tastes of Casey's cakes again throughout our wedding planning process even after I booked her. Casey was amazing. The cakes looked exactly like we wanted. She even went the extra mile for my husband's groom's cake and added dry ice to it to make it smoke! It was so cool and unexpected. The night of the wedding, she stayed until the cakes were cut to help us. Casey is warm, inviting, and extremely helpful. We could not recommend her more. She is the perfect baker. Let me start by saying that I believe Darlene "Casey" Rogers is capable of making stunning wedding cakes. To be fair I must next say that I did receive a full refund on my wedding cake. However, nothing will change my experience on my wedding day, immediately after, or the photographs in my wedding that will never be made correct. Although Bride's Table Cakes was not on yelp I did find a lot of 5 star reviews for Bride's Table Cake (Weddingwire.com, Facebook, etc). I decided to go with Bride's Table cakes taking in the near location to Driftwood (we were married at the Salt Lick), the fact that she advertises only doing 1-2 cakes per weekend, she does offer Gluten Free options, her reviews are impeccable, and her cake decor advertised on various websites is stunning. I did not choose other bakers because although they had a lot of great reviews now and then you would see one that had 1-2 people with a bad experience-and I did NOT want to take the chance on my big day. I met Casey in August of '13-well in advance of my March '14 wedding. She is a wonderful hostess, fun personality, and has an amazing home where she showcases her award winning work and gives you a wonderful cake tasting on exquisite china. The cake I wanted was based off a cake she advertises on her website-three tiered white with burlap. I discussed with her at our tasting the desire for a more fancy ruffled top tier (gluten free top layer-the rest Red Velvet) that would compliment my dress. She drew a design and said she would put ruffled flowers on the top tier with a tiny edible pearls in the center to be compliment to my dress. She also suggested an accent ribbon (we accented with red) under the burlap so that the burlap would not rest on the frosting. Lastly she suggested I purchase an antique brooch and she would put it in the cake to really "finish" the cake off. On our wedding day when I walked into our reception I knew immediately that my cake was not finished. It looked nothing like I had ordered. It was three tiers, wrapped in large red ribbon, with rather "flat" cut out fondant flowers on top with no pearl centers. It looked very unfinished, not what we had discussed, not what Casey drew on a piece of paper. I thought that something must have happened-this cake looked nothing like what Casey produces at all. You would think I would receive a note, a phone call, an e-mail or something explaining what had happened. NOPE! I did go on honeymoon and a week later finally reached out to Casey explaining my disappointment and requesting my jewelry be returned. She replied back saying she was disappointed that we were disappointed and that we deserved better..and God Bless us. She called me the next day. She explained that her husband had left the "package" to finish my cake behind. Although she delivered around 10 and we did not cut cake until 2:30 she felt she could not return the 20 minute or so distance each way to finish my cake. I do question this "excuse"...because why would you put a red ribbon (not what I originally asked for) around the base of the cake and each layer but not cover it with the burlap ribbon? Why would the flowers which were to be "ruffled" be flat cut out fondant that overlapped the top tier red ribbon. Seriously how can you wrap burlap ribbon around red ribbon on-site if their is fondant flower already covering the red ribbon? Why would an experience baker do on-site placement of edible pearls instead of at your bakery? At the end it doesn't matter what the excuse was-the cake was unfinished, not delivered as promised, and attitude of Casey (not even contacting us first!) was an enormous let down. read more

I feel awful that the first review on here shows a poor experience, because my husband and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Bride's Table. When we first met her, we knew it was a good fit. Casey is so warm and welcoming, and has no problem giving you many generous slices of cake during the initial consultation. She truly listened to our vision for the wedding, was very conscientious of our budget, and impressed us greatly with how plain GOOD her cake was. Honestly, we probably spent around 45 minutes just sitting with her, chatting and eating cake. The cakes she delivered (we ordered bride's and groom's cakes) were stunning and delicious. Our guests were going back for seconds before all of the tables had even been served! It was definitely the highlight of the reception. They were both absolutely beautiful as well, and perfectly on theme. I wish I could have seen her the day of to thank her, but obviously I was incredibly busy with many other things. Casey is the most genuine, loving, and caring woman, and creates the most DELICIOUS and beautiful cakes! After doing a tasting at another cake shop, we knew she was the one we had to have make our cake. She is super easy to work with, incorporates your ideas with what she knows about wedding cakes, and creates a masterpiece in your price range. We are still talking about how we didn't eat enough of her cake at the wedding day and may have to have her make us another before our 1 year anniversary. Chef Casey is the BEST!!! I cannot say enough amazing things about her and her cakes. The whole experience with her from start to finish was over the top awesome. Our experience started with Chef Casey at her own personal home, which was so much fun! It felt very personal tasting cake at her dining room table and sipping champagne out of her crystal while we did it. We loved the whole tasting experience and had a lot of trouble deciding which flavors we wanted at our wedding because they were all FANTASTIC!!! We ended up having three different flavors at our wedding, and then getting a fourth cake made for a wedding after party the day after our wedding. Chef Casey was so much fun, and totally captured who my husband and I are (cat lovers) by suggesting we add some cat figurines in a discrete spot behind some flowers on our wedding cake. It was just perfect! We loved that personal touch. Lastly, what we loved about her cakes were how they didn't taste like your typical wedding cake. They tasted home made and were so full of flavor! Our cake and groom's cake was awesome, and so is Chef Casey. I really didn't think I'd be the bride that would go all out with a three-tiered cake plus a groom's cake (at the point we did our tasting with Casey, we were gonna order cupcakes from a bakery), but when my husband and I went for our tasting, we were SOLD. I felt as if we had gained a family member. The tasting in Chef Casey's home is a wonderful experience. She takes the time to talk with you and get to know you, she sketches out ideas, and you try a lot of cake as she takes notes. And she's just so fun to be around. On our wedding day, she showed up in plenty of time to get the cake set up, and it turned out perfectly. She was able to incorporate a few flower decorations my mom had made out of artificial flowers, too. More importantly, the cakes were DELICIOUS. We didn't even have many leftovers! People asked ahead of time what cake we would have, and I was basically like, "each layer has, like, three different flavors going on." AND IT'S SO GOOD. We got a lot of compliments. I knew Casey was the one because she made my husband comfortable. My husband is quiet and introverted; he doesn't always warm up to people right away, and he loved talking with Chef Casey and working with her.
