After difficult experiences with two other PT clinics, I settled at Core Performance and was soon…read moreblown away- not only at the tempo of my recovery, but at the community I found here. Let's start with the actual PT. I've been recovering from a hamstring autograft ACL reconstruction (+ meniscus stitch), and Dr. Taylor Sillekens has employed the perfect balance of pushing me to progress quickly while demonstrating holistic care for both my knee and overall wellbeing. He puts a lot of thought into his programming, which is both challenging and creative- I believe I've left every session having tried a new exercise. My mobility and strength bounced back so quickly that I found myself stronger than I was prior to the injury within less than 6 months. Core Performance has a lovely staff team as well! The PT aids are quite attentive and consistently check on my form/correct me if I'm off. I've had an incredible experience with Cat Stephens (who has not only helped me through painful moments but also brings smiles to all the patients' faces), but have always felt well-attended by all of the aids. The staff is super welcoming, knows us by name when we walk in, and are very responsive with scheduling. I look forward to each session since I know I'll be surrounded with such friendly people when I come in. I know this is verbose, but I'm just trying to convey my incredible experience here. I've had many ACL tear veterans express their disbelief at the speed of my recovery, and even have strangers approach me at my gym to ask how I got out of my brace so quickly. I've sent friends and fellow surgery patients here. Come see for yourself!

When I was preparing to go play pro volleyball abroad, he created a special program to build up my strength and endurance to ensure I was fully prepared to play without risking re-injury. His care went beyond simple exercises and he built a program to also help me prepare psychologically so that I could trust my knees every time I step on the court. I've seen a lot of PT's and trainers throughout my years as an athlete. Taylor is definitely the most knowledgeable about how the human body works and genuinely cares that all of his patients see positive results.

Jennifer got me ready for a trip to Africa when my torn rotator cuff was giving me pain. She was knowledgeable and able to explain where the pain was coming from and the purpose of the exercises. She provided a helpful home plan as well as office therapy. Parking is close to the facility and spaces are easy to find. The office and therapy areas are warm and calm and appointments are on time. In January 2026, I fell and broke 3 ribs. Jennifer gave me an evaluation appointment to determine if PT would be better than the exercise classes I currently take. She spent an uninterrupted appointment while testing my range of motion and pointing out where the breaks were. Luckily, my ribs were aligned with little space between the broken bones. Jennifer quizzed me on the types of exercises I regularly do and recommended that I keep up with my regimen without using weights and explained the purpose of what I was doing in furthering the healing process. As she predicted, those classes were enough to get me back in shape. I appreciated her honest appraisal. Before returning to OrthoSport for my broken ribs, I visited 4 other PT locations. I observed that parking was difficult, the facilities were cold and there were people waiting for their appointments. So it was an easy decision to return to Jennifer and OrthoSport.

After hearing so many good things, I decided to come myself, and it's truly been wonderful. I started seeing Michael around July through a referral, and he's been absolutely exceptional. He's incredibly thorough, attentive, and genuinely caring. Each session is carefully tailored -- he always takes time to assess how I'm doing, explains the treatment plan in detail, and adjusts the focus based on my progress. I really appreciate how he shares different recovery strategies and gives clear, practical home exercises after every visit. His techniques are precise and effective, and you can tell he truly cares about helping his patients heal. I've also met Maddi and Melissa -- both are fantastic, kind, and professional. Overall, everyone I know who's been here has had a great experience. The whole team is outstanding -- thoughtful, skilled, and genuinely dedicated. I couldn't recommend this clinic more highly!

To put it succinctly - Harold completely healed my shoulder/arm over the next two months! I am now at 100%. As others have mentioned, this can be painful, but the results have been nothing short of astonishing. My body feels different - inside and outside. I am amazed and grateful! This continues to improve my health and my life. The knowledge that Harold has goes way beyond your standard Physical Therapist. He has a commitment to excellence and continuing education in his field and it shows. I have other family members who have also used Harold and and they also give rave reviews. I highly recommend Harold and Balanced Body Physical Therapy.

I've been going to Accelerate Physical Therapy on and off since around 2022 for neck pain, back…read morepain, thoracic outlet syndrome, and most recently shoulder/lat issues. Of all the PT places I've tried (around ten), Accelerate has by far been the best. The only real downside is that I don't have enough insurance visits or money to go more often. A big problem I've had elsewhere is heavy reliance on aides and limited time with the actual therapist. Those places can work for simple acute injuries, but for repetitive strain, posture issues, or problems that build up and affect multiple areas, they're not ideal. You often only see the PT briefly before being handed off to aides for exercises you could do at home. Many clinics feel like a mill... even when the therapists are good, you rarely get enough time with them. In mid-2025 I tried another higher-rated, more convenient PT place for neck and shoulder issues and regretted it after six weeks. At Accelerate, you see your therapist one-on-one for the full ~40 minutes (sometimes more if needed). They don't just do a quick massage and stim before sending you off with an aide. They focus on the root cause of the dysfunction or pain. Appointments feel tailored to how you're feeling that day. You can request focus on what's flaring up most, or extra time on manual therapy when you're in a lot of pain (often half the session or more instead of 10-15 minutes). They'll even go the extra mile. Back in 2022, Dr. Jordan literally went outside to help me adjust my driving position so it wouldn't hurt my neck. The Newport Beach office only has a handful of therapists, so you often need to book 1-2 weeks ahead to keep the same person at your preferred time. That said, I've trusted every therapist I've seen: Dr. Andrew (before he moved), Dr. Jordan, Dr. Tanner, Dr. Shawn, and later Dr. Alyssa Chavez. I also worked with a couple of interns (Quentin and another woman whose name I forgot). The therapists communicate with each other about patients, so switching isn't a big issue. You can also email your PT with quick questions. Their admin staff is helpful with scheduling and insurance questions, though I find the website the easiest way to book. One of the biggest strengths is how well they figure out what's going on even without prior imaging. In 2022, Dr. Andrew identified thoracic outlet syndrome through testing after other hand-focused PT hadn't helped, something I'd never heard of, and doctors later confirmed it. In 2025, when insurance was slow to approve a shoulder MRI, Dr. Shawn determined I had more of an impingement and lat strain tied to core and postural issues rather than a tear. He spent most of the session doing thorough manual work from my neck and upper traps through my back, lats, and related areas, and connected the dots to my hips, hip flexors, and core--things other places never considered. When Dr. Shawn's schedule filled up, I started going to Dr. Alyssa Chavez, who was excellent from the start. She gave smart exercise modifications, had great bedside manner while working on a very tight first rib, and focused heavily on the manual therapy my tight muscles needed while also giving practical posture advice for the long term. I improved enough to "graduate" in July 2026 with consistent exercises, skilled manual therapy, and solid lifestyle advice. Bottom line: if you have pain from injury or repetitive strain (like computer work), give Accelerate a try. Genuine full one-on-one care from therapists who dig into the root issues is rare these days.

Dr…read more Jordan Antol at OCPT has kept me on my feet, moving forward, and achieving goals I never thought possible. I first saw Jordan a year ago for patellar tendonitis (jumper's knee). Since then, he's helped me through a myriad of different soft-tissue injuries, from niggles to more persistent challenges. Each time I show up having pushing myself just a little too far, he treats me with care, respect, exceptional knowledge, and - importantly - curiosity. His diverse set of diagnostic skills helps us pinpoint what hurts and why; he listens deeply and is never too quick to assume. When I come in with a vague "something's not right, let's check it out", he enthusiastically engages, exploring multiple hypotheses with a suite of assessments and questions. He believes me and he cares; I've never felt that he was bored nor tired of me coming to him yet again with another 'complaint'. It has felt amazing and deeply reassuring to be so supported as I push myself in ways that others might judge or consider ridiculous. It is only because of Jordan that I've been able to pursue and surpass my goals. He is exceptionally creative when coming up with therapeutic exercises. His ability to understand what will help and to bridge my current state with what's next most attainable is what has allowed me to continue to run, hike, climb, and move in all these ways that make me so happy. Recently we've been tackling some iliopsoas tendonitis. Jordan diagnosed it as a hip flexor injury several weeks before it was confirmed via MRI, and has coached me through a progression of appropriately targeted and increased loading, conceiving of exercises like "externally-rotated single leg lift over a cereal box" and "hip flexor pulley lift with hold and slow descent". In parallel, his guidance on knee-touch holds with step-downs is helping me make great progress with some runner's knee and knee valgus, which has translated to very noticeable improvements in balance and strength in technical hiking. He's been patient with my continued lack of skill with deadlifts, motivating me to keep striving and hold high expectations for myself. Jordan has been the best PT I could ever have hoped for. His skills and partnership are a primary factor in my ability to be the athlete I want to be, and consequently in my happiness throughout my life. He always treat me with the utmost respect and care, and I am incredibly grateful to be working together. I also want to thank Anna at the OCPT front desk. She is always helpful and patient with my scheduling! I'm so glad to have found Jordan, Anna, and OCPT.
