We've been coming here for years. Any time someone in our family has physical pain, we always come to see Wassiem. He is extremely knowledgeable and loves what he does, which is seeing his patients pain-free-- not to mention, he is super friendly and a great listener (to your pain). What I like the most about the clinic is their honesty. They're here to assist you from the second you walk through the door. They're definitely not here to tell you you need to come back 10 more times before you can start feeling any better. I guarantee if Wassiem can take care of your pain, there's no need for you to see another specialist. read more

I've had severe neck pain due to poor posture. I was unable to move my neck for weeks, and the pain was excruciating. I had finally met with Wassiem thanks to a recommendation. In summary, Wassiem worked his magic, and three months later I am reborn with a brand new neck. Wassiem is very talented and knows exactly where to work the muscle that in mere seconds I was able to move it again. It has now been a while since I have had any pain. Wassiem gets my personal recommendation, as I would fully trust him with any physical therapy job in the future. read more

I had a fracture in the left shoulder where the ball is attached to the bone at the surgical neck. I opted for physical therapy instead of shoulder replacement surgery. I am so glad I chose St Marina PT. Wassiem Abdelmalek was superb. He was extremely knowledgeable, involves you in what he is doing and why and in about three month I have regained all my range of motion. My doctor said the fracture is completely healed. Wassiem gives you full attention and you feel the continuity and relevance of treatment. I recommend him very highly. read more

A couple of years ago my MD gave me a referral for Wassiem Abdelmalek to treat my stenosis and arthritis pain. Wassiem recommended that I be treated twice a week and I had about 10 sessions before I finally called it quits. I found him to be extremely unprofessional with his billing practices. Apparently, for whatever reason, he didn't want to go through my Blue Shield insurance and instead billed me personally at $50 per visit. He does not know how to run a professional medical business and even asked me what my regular MD charges. If you are in need of physical therapy I would strongly discourage you from using St Marina Physical Therapy. read more

Wassiem is a miracle worker.... Every time anything ails me, he's the one I know will heal me. This time I went in for a shoulder/arm that wouldn't move: I was in tremendous pain for days and on round the clock ibuprofen to lessen the pain, but nothing would stop the pain. Wassiem worked his magic and 12 hours later, I stopped taking the ibuprofen and am able to move my arm! Call now and let him see you. His experience will restore your ability to function and feel better sooner. Thanks, Wassiem!! read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. I came here after going to another physical therapy place first, and there was no comparison. Dr. Wassiem was very kind and worked his magic to make my back feel better quickly. He gave me suggestions to help with life at home as well. He was also very flexible with appointments, which accommodated my very busy schedule. While I'm grateful to be done because I'm feeling better, I'm sad to leave, and would gladly go back if physical therapy is ever needed again! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Wassiem as a PT without reservations. I was incredibly lucky to have found him on a referral from a friend. From the moment I initiated the process to coming in to see the doctor was nothing but efficient and ironically, pleasant for someone going in for pain treatment. Dr. Wassiem is perhaps one of the kindest and also incredibly knowledgeable doctors I've met. I can't say that a lot of the people I've met in a health-care field because they usually are only one or the other. Every time I've entered his practice, or seen other patients enter his practice, Dr. Wassiem greets the person by their name. I don't know how he remembers everyone, but he'll ask them how they're doing and acknowledges what the patients say and reassures him/her that they would work on the issue together. I actually look forward to my therapy sessions. Sessions usually last from 45-55 minutes. The first part of the session involves a warmup and various exercises recommended to you from the doctor based on your pain/issue. Then the latter part of the session involves Dr. Wassiem working his voodoo--a term he uses, and rightly so, to make you feel better before leaving his practice. And most of the time, and the second best part aside from Dr. Wassiem's voodoo, is getting iced at the end. His reviews speak enough about his wonderful work, and if I ever come across a negative review, I'd sincerely question the person's experience. And in saying that, I highly recommend going to Dr. Wassiem because not only have I felt better from my injuries, but there are so many others who I've overhead come in to say they've been to many other PTs, and none can compare to the healing they've had under Dr. Wassiem's care. I can't sing enough praises, other than to tell you- Dr. Wassiem is not only hilarious, welcoming, kind, and excellent at his work, he's so down-to-earth. If you're looking for an amazing PT, he's as real as it gets. read more

Great place. The therapist is very organized, professional, knowledgeable. A pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend

Wassiem went above and beyond to not only accommodate my schedule, but within two weeks after an injury that left me with partial tears in three ligaments in my knee I was walking with a normal gait with very minimal pain. His mix of physical therapy practices and muscle therapy/manipulation was phenomenal read more

After my rotator cuff surgery, my surgeon recommended St. Marina PT. I am so happy that he did as Wassiem is absolutely fantastic. His table side manner is so welcoming. He is skilled in all facets of physical therapy treatments. During the "stay-at-home" order, I continued to see him via Facetime. He created a number of exercises for me that were digital that I could access from my computer each day. Now that the restrictions allow me to actually visit his practice, my condition continues to improve with each treatment. If you have any type of physical issue, surgery or pain, I highly recommend that you make an appointment with Wassiem rather than the large PT establishments. You will receive the very best care in a relaxing and welcoming environment. I think he is the best! read more

I was referred to St Marina Physical Therapy when I developed tendonitis in my wrist from computer work. They taught me many exercises to help make it go away and prevent it from coming back. It was very easy to schedule convenient appointments, and I never had to wait to start the therapy once I arrived. They have a wide range of equipment to help people with all sorts of injuries. read more

The 2 months I spent working with Wassiem at St Marina changed my life. Not an exaggeration, it really is an understatement. I had been dealing with chronic issues due to an injury as a teenager and did not realize how badly it was degrading my quality of life for 20 years. Literally, in 2 MONTHS, Wassiem showed me what to do when I have a flare-up; what would once sideline me for WEEKS is managed and under control in a matter of HOURS. The knowledge he has imparted has been life changing and I am forever grateful to him. Personally, he is one of the nicest, most selfless guys I've ever met. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of physical therapy. read more

Dr. Wassiem has been treating my shoulder since late January. I found him after a quick search here. Although he was my second choice, I am delighted that my first choice did not accept my insurance at that time. I was treated like a family friend from day one. Not only is Dr. Wassiem kind and compassionate, he has a sense of humor which makes our sessions go by quickly. I actually don't mind going to see him 2-3 times a week. In fact, I've made some new friends along the way. He will be sorely missed upon our move to AZ. Most importantly, my shoulder has improved under his care. We're almost there. Thank you for doing what you love Dr. Wassiem. read more

I have been seeing Wassiem for about 3 weeks for shoulder issues. When I went back to see my doctor last week he was amazed at the level pf progress we've achieved in such a short time. Wassiem is a kind and friendly person, and though PT is not my idea of fun, he makes it as pleasant as it can be. I highly recommend him! read more

I recently completed 2 months of physical therapy at Saint Marina's Physical Therapy. Wassiem is an experienced therapist certified in McKenzie technique and counter strain. Not many PTs are certified in OC. I came in with back pain related to history of car accident and sports accident from this past year. I thought they were chronic pain that just won't go away. However, I felt immediate relief after every session until gradually the pain is gone after my final session. He is also happy to educate you on how to prevent future pain. I am pain free now. read more

What a great place, We used other physical therapy before with no or little improvement, but with this place, it was day and night, The staff is very professional, the Dr. spent as much time as needed, explain everything in full details and full up, what else the one can ask for If you looking for physical therapy, look no more, this is your place. read more

Simply, they're the best!!!! Two years ago I had an accident that led to lower back pain, I had just a few sessions with Ereinee Abdelmalek and I can only say that she is GREAT! I've also had TMJ for about 2 years now and it was getting so much worse and so much more painful with time, I couldn't eat or talk or just open my mouth without my jaw clicking. That was all until my first session with Wassiem Abdelmalek!!! Now, the clicking is all gone and the opening range is maintained and improving after each session. I highly recommend St Marina Physical Therapy to anyone looking for great physical therapists!!! read more

I have been going to Wasseim for chronic back pain that I have been suffering with all my adult life. The technique was recommended to me by a specialist and I found Wasseim online as being certified. He is a life saver to me. I call him "my hero" because no one has been able to help me like he has. I've been through acupuncture, chiropractors and other forms of physical therapy through my life, but nothing has helped me like like this form of therapy. If you've tried everything, please try this. It works! read more

I've experienced physical therapy at three other practices through the years following knee surgeries, sciatica and most recently rib sprain and a shoulder restricftion problem, but I would rate in the number one spot the therapy I received from Wassiem at St. Marina Physical Therapy.
