I have been using the Weldon's Cleaners located at 601 W. Main St. in Medford because they closed the former location that I used to use on Stewart Street. They do an excellent job with my goose down comforters and robes as well as my Irish wool sweaters, corduroy pants and other items that I take in. Everything comes back looking brand new and within a week, sometimes faster than that. I'm sorry that I don't remember the name of the lady at the front desk (with a silver-white pageboy hairstyle) who usually checks me in but she really knows her stuff. They are so nice. They did a beautiful job and are really reasonably priced. Had my wedding dress cleaned here and they did a great job. Totally would recommend. Note that the hours for the dry cleaners are different than the hours for the washing machines, so it's worth checking before you head over. read more

I used this dry cleaner when it was Main Street cleaners and they did a great job and were reasonably priced. Now they have changed owners-I took a shorts romper in to be cleaned and it was $15-I paid $25 for the outfit. They also ruined the snap on it and tore it off the side it's supposed to be on (I didn't notice until I got home with it). They also have pulled buttons off my boyfriend's suit jackets and have not done anything to repair them, all while charging through the nose. I work all over southern Oregon so I will be finding a new cleaner. Save your money and your clothes by choosing somewhere else. read more

I have never given a bad review on Yelp before but I was really upset after my experience at Weldon's. I took my wedding dress in to get cleaned and when I got it home it had five holes in the lace sleeve. I had already worn it for my wedding so it wasn't a huge deal but I want to consign it. When I called to let them know it had holes in it they were really snarky and unhelpful. I wasn't trying to get a refund or anything I just wanted to let them know there were huge holes in my dress. They just told me to bring it in. When I brought it in I was treated the same as I was on the phone. I'm a really laid back person and I just wanted the holes repaired, but they just asked me "what I wanted to do about it." In any business the customer is always right. If they had nicely given me my options, i.e. they could repair the holes, get a discount on my next dry cleaning, etc. I would have left feeling taken care of and happy. Instead I felt like it was my fault there were holes in my wedding dress. Kindness goes a long way. read more

Took two thirty dollar dresses to have them hemmed. Tried dresses on had them pinned two inches above my knees.Oh my goodness got the dresses back one week later charged me thirty six dollars and I cannot wear these dresses.If I lean forward a little bit my rear end is exposed,I don't mean bend over to pick up something on a bottom shelf in the grocery store,I mean lean foreword to grab a bunch of bananas off the display and my cheeks are exposed.I will never go there again.It makes me ill to think of the money I just dropped for two dresses that will end up at goodwill.THANKS WELDONS!!!! My advise if you need a button sown on there you're guys.If you need more than that go else where or you'll end up depressed sad sick with unwearable clothing and you'll be on the hunt for another dress or two in my case. read more

I had a coat dry cleaned here and then repaired. I dropped it off in June or something I COMPLETELY forgot about it until I went to put it on yesterday now that the weather is cold. It had been months. MONTHS! I tore the house apart looking for the receipt and couldn't find it. It's my favorite coat... not necessarily expensive, but one of a kind. I was distraught. I went in to Weldon's the next day assuming they wouldn't believe me without my receipt and/or they had definitely cleared out my coat. Not the case!!! It was there!! The pocket repair was $10 (which yes, I'm sure I could have done myself - but I was having it cleaned anyway.) Needless to say, I thanked them profusely and gave them a $20. read more

These people ruined my white silk Tommy Bahama shirt- Had small dark sweat spots in the armpits, asked if they could try to get them out- all they did was "expand" the stain to a lighter water-mark which extended almost to the end of the sleeve. They tried again to get it out and said "too bad for you". Completely unwearable now... thanks to them. I would have taken some dry-cleaning trade or something, but nothing- Except NO charge for the shirt! (why would they not charge me if they did a proper job?) Screw this place... I talked to an alteration shop in Medford and they have a similar appraisal of Mr. Weldon and his crap business. read more

Took two Cal. King satin sheets to have them sewn together to create a duvet for my daughter. Charged $33.00, which was way out of line for what was done. This place is too expensive. Although I live nearby, I take my business 15 miles away too avoid the gouging. read more

I came in with a sofa cushion that needed a new zipper and some stitching. The blonde lady who does alterations fixed it and sewed the necessary seems for 20 bucks in 10 minutes. Some other guy wanted to charge me 70 somewhere else. They also recommended blackbird for new cushion filling. They saved me 150 bucks and now my sofa cushions look great read more

I took my brand new recital dress (that still had the tags on, paid $30 for) to Weldons in Ashland Oregon to get it hemmed up because it was too long. I took it in and the alteration lady, Elayne Taylor, took me back and measured me up, she advised me to not take in any at the waist like I wanted because it would cost more. So all she did was take in a few inches off the bottom. I went to pick up my dress last Friday from the Ashland location. Elayne expressed to me while grabbing my dress that her cat was playing with my dress while she worked on it which raised concern for my dress. I got my dress, they didn't have me try it to make sure it was well done, so they handed me the dress, charged me $40 for taking a couple inches off the bottom. I was angry about the price but didn't put up a fight and took it home. When I got off work I decided to try it on to make sure it was well done. I put the dress on and there was a gapping hole in my dress (not on a seem). I called Elayne today and explained to her my concerns and she said that she was originally going to charge me $50. She said the hole was not her doing, even though I tried the dress on before I took it in, no holes, no wrinkles. I get my dress back wrinkled (she even advised me to iron it) and with a hole that I now have to safety pin together for my performance. If I could give this business 0/5 stars, i would. This isn't even the least bit of satisfactory customer service or work to pay more for the alteration than the dress itself! Not happy! read more

I brought a work lab coat in at the end of their business day so when I got home I noted they were going to charge me $12.75! I was upset about the charge, so I called the next morning, and luckily got the same girl that helped me the night before...I don't think she is related to the owners...she told me she charged me cheap because she usually charges the $12.75 for a lab coat that goes to the waist, and mine went down lower than that, so would normally be like $18.25! Jeesh! I went to Lydia's.com website and saw I could buy several styles (3) of BRAND NEW lab coats for $4.97 each...so I decided to go back to pick up my lab coat as they are horrendously high-priced! I understand this is a business, but then, surely they could charge $7 or $8 for customers that plan to do repeat business...I felt that this was price-gouging no matter how good a job they can do. I found another dry cleaner which was less money & included pick-up/delivery for $6...so I called them to pick up 2 of my lab coats...I don't know, but it seems a shame that there is such price-gouging at this place...it is disappointing as they are close to where I live... read more
