I have visited this business four times in the past two years with very basic alteration needs, and every single time the woman behind the counter moans and groans about having to do the work and makes up vague excuses. She never has once said whether or not she can or is willing to do the work; she just makes statements about how complicated things are and how much time they will take. So I simply leave confused. The first time I visited I needed a pair of jeans hemmed. Simple enough, so I thought. She claimed my jeans were "too thick thus difficult to hem and create a cuff that is similar to the original cuff." I said I'm not worried about the cuff just the length, but she continued on about the difficulty; and the amount of time it would take; so I thanked her and left. The second time I needed the sleeves on a short sleeve shirt shorted. Again, she went on about "it's complicated and hard to keep the circumference of the sleeves." The third time I needed a cooking apron shortened. She made some excuse about how the fabric would not look right and it would look funny. Today I figured I would give her the benefit of the doubt and try one last time. I went in to have a pair of shorts altered. I walked in said "hello, I am hoping you can alter the waist on my shorts." She responded with "oh do you?" I said yes that would be great. Once again, she stated "this is too complicated and it will take too much time." When I asked "is that a yes or a no?" she stated "you're probably better off buying a new pair." Who says things like that to a customer? So again I thanked her for her time and left. I have always been respectful and polite to this woman, yet every time she has blown me off. I don't know, maybe she only likes to deal with her regulars or maybe she just likes to do very basic things. Either way it is extremely disappointing and a waste of time to be treated this way. After leaving today I found a place in town that was more than willing to alter my shorts and in fact stated that it is a very simple alteration; I wish I would have found them sooner. Needless to say I won't be returning here again. read more

She told me that she wasn't sure if she could fix it but I left it with her so she could ruminate on it and call me the following week. She called me the same day and told me she had figured out how to repair it. I went in, got fitted buy a very nice woman (Joyce?) and she took care of all my suits and in record time and it didn't cost very much. I highly recommend this place. Very nice. Very Fast. Very Good. Completely exceeded my expectations! I needed my wedding dress altered, not hemmed but altered, and Joyce did this in less than 24 hours! I was shocked to receive a call a week before the deadline we discussed. And she even steamed it! Usually you need to take your clothes to a dry cleaner for this service.
