I hate being lied to. I left a previous review and got a message telling me all the bull crap that an overworked, underpaid manager has to say. I went back to sunshine laundromat and found that same unemployable reject working in the dry cleaning end. He is still an utter arse. I am a very nice person and NEVER mistreat anyone. After asking the dude that looks like he got kicked off a Grateful Dead tourbus for being too fucked up, a simple question, he again treated me as if I interrupted his dark web perv show. I had my sister go in the following day. Same BS, same asshole. Apparently they hate money. And no one ever attempted to refund the money the machines took from me. It really is heartbreaking to witness a great business crash and burn, but that is exactly what has happened. Sayonara dicks. read more

0 STARS Been using this laundromat for a year but will never be back after the manager was so rude to me today. Then I was verbally assaulted by a tweaker whom was friends with said Manager. When we left my husband went in to tell him he didn't appreciate the way he treated me he started cussing my husband out. He then followed him outside where another tweaker came up threatening us. I spent $70 to be told I was trespassing and all of the above. Thankfully there's a new laundromat in town. read more

The change machine says it gives some tokens and some quarters. 90% were tokens. Each token is worth a dollar. Wash is 4.75 you have to use 5 tokens = 5.00 then it dones not give you change. The guy that runs the business next door is no help he will buy the tokens for .75 each another way to rip you off. The number to call will never answer and won't return text. Its a shame I like to support small business but they are conducting unethical business. read more

This laundromat is by far the best one in town. The couple that clean are always friendly and courteous. Now I don't know if they get enough credit but they should be . I will o my come here because of the clean machines and floors and bathroom. Thanks for a nice establishment. read more

I use the Sunshine laundromat early in the mornings. It's always clean, and the few times I had a problem the staff returned my call/text and took care of my difficulty. The staff are pleasant, the place is clean, and there is plenty of good working machines to use. read more

You weren't there so how can you possibly just make that up? I guess the truth hurts about ur shady practices. Common knowledge you guys turn down your dryers. I have used this laundromat and their clean and fold services for well over two years now. Their clean and fold service is quick, clean and precisely folded ALWAYS! . The laundromat is clean, the machines clean, very well maintained and, if needing repair, quickly attended to. The ladies are open, warm and alwa kind, helpful and cheerful. Facility-- very dusty, with cobwebs at the corners and you always have to clean the lint traps. Also need to make sure you keep an eye on your little kids-- has open areas where electric and waste water could be hazardous ( see pic). Although advertised as "Wi-Fi Friendly," the WiFi shows it is available, but requires a password. When patrons asked the oprator for the password, the operator evaded the request and said "he is working on it." They updated the bathroom during the summer ( June/July)... And shortly after that they started locking the bathroom when the wash/fold service office closes (5pm), so if you are there to do laundry after that time, if you need the bathroom you are out if luck. Last Friday, I witnessed a patron request the key to use the bathroom. The operator said "wait, I don't want these clothes to wrinkle." And then he proceeded to empty a dryer one item of clothing at a time, all the while having a casual conversation with another patron. The patron who needed to use the bathroom stood there and waited. I was personally appalled at the operator's insensitivity. The operator then had to be asked a third time for the key and finally interrupted because he kept ignoring the patrons request. If you are going to have a bathroom for patron use, why keep it locked during business hours? If anyone is doing laundry after 5 pm, make sure you don't need a bathroom, because the nearest one is 1/2 mile away. This used to be a very clean, convenient and useful laundromat where I could do my laundry and get some research done via the wi-fi ( and have a convenient bathroom if needed)-- for whatever reason, the owner/operators have stopped offering the benefit of courtesy to their patrons, There were less "out of order signs" tonight (at least five), but still only a few single load machines available. If you are coming to watch the washers & dryers spin, then this place is as good as any, but if you like good customer service, the availability of a bathroom and the convenience of Wi-Fi --look elsewhere, I know I will. read more

OVERPRICED AND THE OWNERS ARE VERY RUDE AND GREEDY. I had been there for 4 hours doing my laundry and spent almost $30 (they raised their prices) when the owners and their employees came in to do a deep clean. At first I thought that was really cool that they were cleaning their machines and building until things took a turn for the worst and true colors were shown. One of the employees was cleaning the eaves with a broom and brushed a bunch of cobwebs and dirt onto my car. I had just spent $10 washing it so I went into the office to tell the owner what had happened. He looked at me and said, "So? Back up your car." And then he looked at me with this face like, "why are you still standing here?" I was shocked! I have been coming here for years, and I had gotten a baby sitter to watch my 6 mo old son so that I could wash his and my husbands clothes and he treated me like that?! Then I still had to finish drying my clothes and for the last hour I was there, him and his employees scoffed around like douche bags. It's really too bad because the lady named Sharee who works there is really nice and she works hard, but the owners are mean and greedy. They raised their prices too. 25 cents for 5 minutes in the dryer when it used to be 6 minutes. It costs too much money to wash here and this time I was out another $10 for a car wash that I shouldn't have needed. read more

I was contacted by the business owner about my review. She was unhappy about the treatment I had received when I went in and asked me to give her business another shot. She also offered me credit at her laundromat. While I've yet to use my credit I did go to Sunshine today on my own dime because I had a ton of laundry to do after my son's winter camp out, including a queen sized bedspread. I used one of the great big $6.00 machines and did a huge volume of colored stuff, and put all my whites into one of the $4.50 machines. The pluses are that their machines are fast, about 25 minutes per load. When I went in the place looked the same as before: It's immaculately clean, everything works, and there is plenty of space for people to work. There's no waiting for machines, even on a Sunday. I was glad because I was in a hurry, and I'm glad that I went back. Like I said, I HATE giving bad reviews... hate it, hate it, hate it. NOPE. Don't come here. Half the machines don't work, and half of the broken ones aren't labeled as such. If you come here, prepare to lose a few bucks out of sheer trial and error. This place isn't clean. Managers nowhere to be found. The "Wifi friendly" that's advertised in the window...it's a locked network with no sign of the password. Just don't come here. read more

This place is clean, has a nice bathroom for customer use only, the woman working here was super nice, the customers are normal looking people (which is rare at a GP laundromat), all the machines work and there are a TON of every size and #1 the WIFI is great! Poor customer service.... I've been coming here on and off for nearly 6 months, unfortunately.. From the over priced washers and dryers to the washers not washing and the dryers taking your money... some lady lies to me twice on 2 separate occasions... there is a washer here that does not produce water nor suds while washing... on one occasion, she told me the washer goes by weight... I said ok and went on about my day because I had no other load lighter or heavier to compare... on another event I came in and washed 2 sets of sheets in that same EXACT washer.. still nothing ..... this time, I asked her for a refund as the washer costs 3.75 for a damn load. As I am trying to explain why I want one, she gives zero fks. She advises me NOT TO USE THE WASHER AGAIN... I then get the refund and go NEXT TO that same washer in the same row (same model)..... Right next to it... problem resolved... I see water and suds! I had already wasted 3 things TIME, MONEY AND LAUNDRY DETERGENT... So in hopes to get a resolution for future customers, aftee I'm sure with my own eyes WEIGHT WAS NOT THE CASE! I go to her 'folding space' and ask her for her name.. I see her entire body roll with an attitude and she says 'CANDY' ... I literally didn't know if I should laugh or be upset.. I told her what the issue was (and of course I'm upset, im sure I raised my voice) but she then tells me to COMPLAIN TO THE OWNER AND NOT HER ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT' sure... I'll call the owner.. unfortunately, you're not going to get the owner... their voicemail is full.. no one ever answers. A message to the owner:: People come to a laundromat to hopefully wash clothes NOT to pay someone who owns this place 3.75 just because we love this facility with dirty cloth folding chairs that we are scared to sit on... we can't even read your dryer times... I have used the laundromat self-service area for a few years now, always very clean and the staff are so helpful. Recently I decided to give their wash and fold service a try...MY OH MY was this an EXCELLENT decision!! They did a superb job!! Clean, folded and packed up so nicely! This is a great laundromat! I haven't been to one in quite a while but had to wash our sleeping bags after a family trip. Everything is very clean. The machines all seem to work and are very efficient. Only a small amount of detergent is necessary for these high capacity front-loaders. No horse blankets welcome, dear friends, as one would expect from a business that keeps its machines so clean. read more

Great service and fast turnaround time!

We are on vacation and I have two kiddos. I selected this laundromat specifically because of its claims to be an Internet cafe/wifi friendly, however, when we arrived there was no available attendant at all and no posting of the wifi password. So, I was stuck at this place with two kids and nothing for them to do while we waited. The AC doesn't work well and the place is hot and muggy and the prices are totally out of control! One medium washer is $4.50 and the dryer took over an hour to dry the clothes at $.25 per 6 min! So one load of laundry took and hour and a half and cost $7! I will not be coming back here for next week's laundry and I suggest others find a different alternative. There is also no available restroom! read more

I needed to wash a very large comforter, and they have machines designed for such. It wasn't too busy for the time I was here, 6:00-7:00. Alot of machines, and many that worked, so that's good. WiFi was available a few years ago. The password was even posted on bulletin board. I don't think it's available anymore. I can't even find the place on Foursquare. Pretty clean as far as laundromats go. Large sign on the building says "wifi friendly". Their wifi is locked. When I asked for the password the Asian man mumbled and appeared annoyed that I had asked. Low and behold, the password didn't work. If you're going to advertise a service you should make it available to your patrons. Would be nice while waiting for laundry. Now I sit, bored to death. Ugh. read more

I was at Sunshine Laundromat around 1 pm this afternoon. I was having problems with my stomache and we all know what that means so I will not go into the gory details. There was no sign for a restroom so I went into the office area. The attendant was standing just the other side of the counter. I waited about a minute for him to acknowlege me but he didn't so I asked him where the restroom was. He just said "yes" and then proceeded to pick up his cell phone which I thought was weird because I did not hear it ring or vibrate. He said "hello" into the phone and then removed it from his ear and pushed some buttons and said "hello" again. No conversation at all. Within a second or two he removed the phone from his ear again and turned his back on me and started pushing buttons again. I really had to use the restroom so I asked again where it was, He turned to me and yelled "I"m on the phone!" Which he wasn't, he was pushing buttons. I asked again where the restroom was and he yelled to me again that he was on the phone. So, I told him I would go right there on his floor and unzipped my pants to get him to move. Well he did. He grabbed the key to the restroom and as we walked there he told me to not come back again. Made it, just in time! Afterwards while I was waiting for my laundry to dry, the attendant walked by me and asked how I was doing. I thought that he wanted to talk this through but as I mentioned to him that I was feeling ill with stomache problems he went into a rant about how it was not the law that a laundromat allow the customers to use the restroom. He had no compassion only a high and mighty attitude that he was in control of the use of their restroom. This is the second time I have had a run in with this mans attitude. I do not like to post negative comments but I do not know how to contact the owners directly so I posted this because I am sure the owners would like to know the treatment of their customers. read more

This used to be the cleanest, best maintained laundromat in Grants Pass, but lately it's really starting to go downhill. At any given time, about 1/4 of the machines are out of order, several more aren't working well, and the place is starting to look dirty and uncared for. Hoping they step up their game soon, or I'll be going elsewhere. read more

I have been going to Sunshine Laundry off and on for 10 years. I have always found the attendants to be helpful and friendly. In my opinion they need to operate more of the businesses in Grants Pass. read more
