However then my troubles began…read more This place is completely coin operated so you would think they would have a working change machine. Well their only change machine was out of order which meant I had to put everything back in my car and go find quarters. Fortunately the nearby car wash always has working change machines. With quarters in hand I was back to laundromat. Next issue was the washing machine is so tall I had to feel with my fingers to find the soap dispenser. If you are short or in a wheelchair this isn't the place for you. Wash is $3.75 to $4.75 a load. Dryer is .25 for six minutes. I went to sit in the 3 seater bench and it jerked backwards like an amusement park ride. My clothes turned out fine; However my son went the next day late afternoon to do his wash only to have his clothes come out smelling like terrible mildew. He wasted nearly $10 to have his clothes smelling worse than when he brought them in. He soaked them overnight to get the mildew out and then had to drive to GP to find another facility. I think this place needs some thorough maintenance because right now it is lacking in a lot of important areas.

So let me get clarity on this, I pay YOUR facility to do MY laundry yet it's all up to me to wash fdry and fold, and pay to wash and pay to dry, yet my trickle charge from the wall outlet I cannot utilize why? What a shitty facility for a small community. It provides nothing but a pay me service and nothing else. Oh you get video monitored but cannot have access to a wall outlet? Oh I can use large machines but not a wall outlet? Unless that's of course I pay for that too correct? No I do not expect anything for free... but a little give back would be nice. oh and since yes, I am new to the area, I will not be using this local succubus that provides nothing to those in the community but more financial gouging....

She also offered me credit at her laundromat. While I've yet to use my credit I did go to Sunshine today on my own dime because I had a ton of laundry to do after my son's winter camp out, including a queen sized bedspread. I used one of the great big $6.00 machines and did a huge volume of colored stuff, and put all my whites into one of the $4.50 machines. The pluses are that their machines are fast, about 25 minutes per load. When I went in the place looked the same as before: It's immaculately clean, everything works, and there is plenty of space for people to work. There's no waiting for machines, even on a Sunday. I was glad because I was in a hurry, and I'm glad that I went back. Like I said, I HATE giving bad reviews... hate it, hate it, hate it. I'm glad to report I had a good experience there today.

They take quarters, tokens, and credit cards, but I found it confusing at first. It ate extra quarters because the detergent dispenser was messed up. My major concern is that there is a lot of deferred maintenance. I had a bedspread that required a 20 lb. washer. Of the 7 units, 4 were out of order. The other 3 were being used. I had to use a 30 pound washer and one of the other customers told me there are always units that need repair. The out of order sign was also evident on other size washers. Please step up the maintenance schedule.

I only use the laundromat to wash my king-size comforters because they don't fit in my home washer. The 4-load machine requires 89 quarters, and the 8-load machine requires 99 quarters. Yet there are signs posted everywhere warning customers not to overload the machines, which means only one king-size comforter realistically fits. So you're telling me it costs over $20 just to wash a single comforter? That's ridiculous. It feels like price gouging, especially considering this is the only laundromat in Eagle Point. People don't really have another option, and the prices reflect that. Clean facility, but the cost alone is enough to make me avoid coming here whenever possible.
