I've been putting off taking my queen size very puffy comforter to the laundromat because not knowing how clean the washers were. Today I looked up laundromats near me with good reviews. I chose Steamboat in Grants Pass off Vine Street. I got there on a Thursday a little past 10am and there were only 3 other customers...yay! There was a large front loader available...only $5 :) (there are only 2). The washing machines and dryers are very clean :) I was able to wash a dry my comforter for $5.75 :) One quarter for the dryer=6 minutes. I recommend Steamboat Laundromat :) read more

I am in Grants Pass for wildland fire support and I can only bring so many days of clothes because space is an issue. I looked this place up on Apple Maps and read the other reviews. It is indeed a nice faculty, most of the machines are working, the ones that are not are clearly marked. I like too that the machines are either coin or card operated. I would have given it a 5 star review but after I got the washer started, I went back to check the machine and it started flashing to add another .25 cents, I think for an extra rinse, I don't know. I think there could have been a sign that explained that. I used coins, but I wonder if I used a card would I have to swipe again and pay another .25 cent card fee? (Yes there is a .25 fee to use a card. That doesn't bother me much unless I am swiping multiple times for small amounts.) I would definitely use this faculty again on another fire assignment. read more

What do you expect? It's a laundromat. Everything works when you put quarters in. It's not a chucky cheese, it's a laundromat. Sometimes crack heads are floating by, but there are snacks within walking distance and a mining shop next door if you need a pick axe. Been going here weekly for about a year. Sure I wish I had a washer and dryer in my studio apartment, but I don't, so I go here. read more

WHAT A DISASTER! Went to use xlarge for king and queen size comforters. Paid $6.75, put soap in for king size comforter, put comforter in, chose setting and could not get door to close. Another customer came over and gave door a tremendous slam to get it to close, said it happens all the time. Put queen size in adjacent large size for $5.50. Shut door and off it went. At end of cycle king size comforter was absolutely sopping wet w/water still in bottom of drum. So wet it was difficult to get it out of machine. Finally got in rolling basket and took it outside front of bldg and tried to hand press out gallons of water as best I could. Going back in to use large dryer on far left which meant dripping water all over the place (sorry guys!). Bottom right machine out of order w/sign. Customer said top left very low heat regardless of setting. Put each comforters in separate dryer, put $1.75 in for king size and it still didn't even take most of the water out. It was really busy and a little shabby but way too expensive for services. There was no paper around to mark washer out-of-service. There was a sign to leave info about $$$ rip-off but yet another customer said, "don't bother, they NEVER pay refunds". Would give this about a -7 rating if possible. One star doesn't come close to how bad it was. Really feel sorry about anyone in neighborhood having to support this place. read more

Nothing is perfect. Especially laundromats. But I've been going to this one long enough say that the worst part about this place is that sometimes it's busy and there aren't any abundance of washers and dryers. It's a small building, so I understand. Overall there is one xl washers that are somewhat antiquated. There are two newer xl washers. They cost $4.00 and $4.50 respectively. Then there are a few much older washer that are probably a double load washer. Then there are really new small load washer that are $2.50. The dryers are great imo. Just make sure to set it to high after it starts. They work pretty well, usually costs me $1.50. read more

What a great place! Plenty of machines and chairs. They open at 7am, which is nice if you need to do laundry while camping and don't want to spend your day there. Clean and has air conditioning, which was a plus for our August visit. read more

BEWARE AGAIN!! A washing machine did NOT rinse very well at all. I had to wring out all the water of my clothes before I could even attempt to dry them. Told management about the defective washer, they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me with the extra time and cost that it will take to dry my clothes. UNFORTUNATELY this is the only coin operated laundromat in town. read more

Great laundromat filled with froiendly people and the machines work well. Any time there is a problem the owner is so easy to reach and always takes care of oit right away. They also have wash and fold service available again thank goodness! The girl is there Monday through Saturday 10am-6pm and it's way affordable with a quick turnaround. I don't know who rated this place, but they were delusional. The washers are half broken, and the dryers take forever. There is no employee on site, and no bathroom for patrons. The chairs are all broken , and it could use a cleaning. read more

This is by far the best laundry mat IN GRANTSPASS, it is clean and friendly, the owner reinvested in newer washing machines ,and are always clean and in good working order. If there is ever a problem the owner has her number on her office door and just call and she will make it right. I've been to this laundromat dozens of times. Here is my description. There has never been an attendant on duty since I've been going to it. Around 2 years. They only come by to empty the coins and clean up. As far as working machines go, they do a good job of keeping most of them working. They had some new washing machines installed in the last year or more. The seating is lousy because the seats are hard and uncomfortable. Their change machine has always worked for me. Parking is limited and my advice is do not go morning or afternoon because it has always been busy and finding parking can be annoying. I go to this one because it is convenient and the management does a good job of keeping things working. It needs better parking, more comfortable seating and it is cramped when even six people are in there. There is no tv to watch. I hate doing laundry because it is boring to sit around for 2 hours. So I'm not a fan but it is fine and does the job. The cost is 2.75 to 4.50 for the washers and 25 cents for 7 minutes on the dryers. Don't expect anything special or fancy because this aint it. read more
