Nice to wander into a place and feel welcome right away. Excellent people and dog watching can be found here, along with the cheap drinks and snacks. By snacks I mean the chips and jerky variety. Keep in mind it is cash only. They do have an atm in the corner with a $3 fee for use. You would think I would remember things in this town lean cash only, but alas I did not on this trip. Oh well. We ordered a couple rounds and each well drink was $4.50. A bag of Cheetos to share was $1.50. Keep it classy. A regular came in with her smallish dog that seemed to have just been frolicking on the beach because she was wet and full of sand XD... a puppy shot of whipped cream was promptly given at the bar and I realized I had come to the right place. I really liked the vibe here. People were friendly and real, just having a good time and hanging out. Make me want to live here even more why don't you? They have pool and shuffleboard. TVs with sportings (Final Four) were on during our visit, but they've also got a touch tunes jukebox. I will def be back here the next time I want a fort bragg dive bar experience. Typical dive bar with a couple pool tables and standard beers on tap. Enjoyed the DJ for Halloween weekend and the bartender was so sweet to reach out to me on social media when my credit card fell out of my pocket and someone turned it in. Not a bad spot to stop by for a quick drink while in town for the night. Good service and easy to grad a pool table on a Friday night. read more

We always drop in while visiting FT.Bragg. Always a great crowd, great bartenders & drinks. One of my faves for sure.

Great little spot for a drink,friendly people and bartender was great!plus prices were very good as well.

Yelp says 3 stars = "A OK" and that's what this place is. I don't know exactly how it could be better, since it is one of 3 dive bars in Fort Bragg and they all are charming. This place has several pool tables, a shuffle board table, one TV, and a bartender who speaks loudly as if there's music playing even when there isn't. Good times! read more

We wandered into the Welcome Inn last Labor Day weekend on the Friday night we arrived in Fort Bragg. Dive bar? Sure it is, but in a good way. The place was really hopping, and while I'm sure most were locals, we ran into several traveling partiers like ourselves too. We had time to enjoy a couple of beers before being invited to play pool. Though throwing darts is my preference, we were instantly embraced like longtime friends when I made a killer long bankshot to sink the eightball (a shot I likely couldn't duplicate with 100 tries). They must of had a decent jukebox because the tunes were rocking all night. If you're planning on weekending in Fort Bragg, it's worth seeking this place out. Of course leave your preppy sweatervest in your hotel room. read more

This is my number one place to go to let off steam after a long work week. Very good service Grace the bartender is great at what she does perfect pours on my IPA and awesome at mixing drinks. wide range of drinks that makes this place a good spot. 3 pool tables, 1 shuffle board and a sweet juke box. It's in the heart of downtown very active on weekends even in the winter. I find my same old spot on the bar and enjoy my time, what more can you ask for. My husband and I were visiting Ft. Bragg for our anniversary and I stopped in while waiting for a massage appointment. I was immediately welcomed as family and invited to a birthday party the following night. We went to the party and were treated like family. We had a fabulous pot luck dinner with the locals and were invited back for Festa in a couple of weeks. Good service, good drinks. 3 pool tables and shuffleboard. Internet juke box. I love the welcome inn... they have 3 pool tables, which is very convenient...I usually go out on weekends when WILL is bartending...
